I have had repeat problems at the location. The sushi and shasimi are good if you actually get it. I have gotten wrong items repeatedly and when staff can't tell the difference between the two I find it disturbing. I have been charged for a sushi shasimi plate before and never received it. Afte fighting with the manager and the table chef getting on my side I finally had the item removed from the bill. I will not be back after last experience.

Miyabi's IS THE BEST Japanese restaurant in Augusta. Which, by the way, City Search spelled wrong. It is always crowded, but everyone in the city knows that is what you can expect which is why you should always make reservations. The place is beautiful, take a look at the ceiling. The chefs cook at the table & say little jokes every now & then.. depending on the people at the table. I've never ever heard of anyone not enjoying Miyabi's & I am completely surprised there are 2 bad reviews on this place. The prices are high, but that comes with the territory. Lets not forget how MUCH food you get!!! I promise you no one has ever left there without a to-go box. Everyone who goes there should know this is a NICE restaurant, you should dress nice, expect a wait, expect a price. You HAVE to try the tempura, amazing.. the white sauce is great, no other place can even come close to imitating it. The other Japanese places in Augusta are trashy, crowded as well; with a a crappy waiting area. (Let's not forget all the gypsies at the other places.. they will rob you, keep your purse close.)

Pros: Amazing.

Cons: Not enough parking for how crowded this place can be.

This was the worst Japanese stir-fry experience I have ever had. Myabi Kyoto's, advertised as the best Japanese restraunt in town, started off with an hour and a half wait only to be seated at an unclean table, with salt covering the grill and residue being left on the grill from the last dinner. Not only that, the tiles popped out on the table. We ordered sushi as an appetizer, and the sticky rice was not even sticky as was falling of the sushi rolls. When the cook got to the table and began cooking the vegetable, when we recieved it, it was squishy with a bad texture. Then the rice was just horrid, it as gooey. Then the food.. I ordered the Scallops and Shrimp. The cook put way to much lemon on the scallops, taking away from the flavor. The shrimp looked horrid before even being cooked. And it was extremely salty. In addition, the fryed grease on the grill, you know, the stuff the chisel off? It was attached to the shrimp when you recieved it. What a waste, but not much considering it looked like crap to begin with.
Also, the restraunt was loud, the tables over crowded, and the entertainment you usually recieve? Ha, there was none.
Out of the four sit down habichi style Japanese restraunts in town, this I would have to say was the worst.

I went to Miyabi Kyoto Japanese Steak House
a few months ago and it was crowded, so we waited in the bar area seating. The wait was so long, patrons were bickering over seats. The Restaurant is large and beautiful but, there seems to be some disorganization when you are placed on the list to wait on a table. Once I was seated at the table, I felt rushed. The wait staff brought me a to go container, as soon as the chef was finished cooking - way before I was finished with my meal. The food was very good but pricey.

PROS: Good food
CONS: Long wait then rushed
