Every time I visit PF Changs their service is poor. It doesn't matter who our server is. The last time we visited it seemed as if we were a bother to our server. I shouldn't have tipped him anything the service was that poor.

My husband and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant tonight. We arrived at the restaurant with our 1 year old daughter around 6:20pm and by almost 8pm, we still did not have a table despite being told when we arrived that we would have a 35-45 minute wait and being told several other times that it would just be 10 or 15 more minutes. Many people were eating a the bar, but they don't exactly have children's seat for the bar, so we just had to take turns holding her while feeding her food we had brought, without eating ourselves. We would have appreciated honesty on the part of the manager who told gave us the initial wait time so we could make the proper decision. We ended up leaving around 8pm when they still couldn't give us any reasonable estimate of when we might sit down. We complained to the manager, but he just laughed at us and gave us an insincere "Sorry." We will never go back. The food is not worth the hassle.

Cons: Don't know how to handle Sat night crowds, poor management

The average person doesn't care if the food is authentic, so long as it tastes good. There's nothing wrong with that. Nobody should be criticized or insulted for enjoying themselves. If people have a good time and enjoy the food, more power to them. That being said, once you have become accustomed to really authentic, top quality food Chinese food, you simply don't want to eat at a place like this. (This is true of any cuisine, not just Chinese. If you love great Italian food, you probably won't be found at the Olive Garden, etc.) Some people don't have an interest in exploring that, and that's fine too. For my taste, it's just too American. The portions of some of the dishes are enormous, which is not necessarily a good thing. The atmosphere in general is rather loud and busy. Some won't mind that, but it's not my thing. 3/4 of their dishes use oyster sauce or some other "special sauce", which I suppose caters to a certain taste, but is unnecessary. The clientele is a giveaway, by the way. You won't find many Asians eating here. I feel there's just a phoniness about the place that I didn't like, with the white waiters bowing to me constantly, etc. This is the kind of place where it's a novelty to eat with chopsticks. I always look with suspicion upon any chain restaurant, particularly one that attempts to be "ethnic". I'm not trying to insult people who enjoy the place. I'm happy for them, and I encourage them to keep going if they like it. You do not have to apologize for what you like. If you understand what I'm getting at, however, you will want to look elsewhere.

    P. F. Chang's in Alpharetta off of Mansell was great: Food, service, wait for seating, everything.

We arrived at P. F. Chang's craving Chinese and discovered over an hour wait. Luckily they used a system by Queuent that called us on our mobile phones when seating was available. So even though we had to wait an hour, we were able to get our movie tickets across the street and shop Barnes and Noble while we waited. When we were called, we were at the other end of the mall but the system let us delay by 15 minutes. When we returned to P. F. Chang's, they sat us at the very next table.

For being on an hour wait, the restaurant didn't seem that crowded but all the tables were full and everything was very smooth and easy to navigate. The server greeted us at our table and was very professional. We ordered drinks while we looked over a very well designed menu. The drinks were served within a few minutes and we ordered the Lettuce Wraps - A great appetizer and now one of my favorites.

I ordered the Singapore Street Noodles. This is usually one of my benchmarks for Chinese cuisine because of the simplicity of the dish yet ease for something to go wrong. It was excellent, not too gingery, noodles not over done, and vegetables were crisp.

All in all, a great casual night out for my wife and I. Highly recommended for a dinner + movie night. And being able to walk around instead of standing in a crowded restaurant waiting for a table, really made the evening.

Pros: Great experience - focus on the guest. Even called us on our mobiles when seating was available.

Cons: Can be a lot of families in the restaurant. Typical for the burbs. That's why not waiting in the restaurant was even better.

Great Place to go on a first date not too expensive and good food, maybe a little crowded on the weekends but overall a great dinner. They also have a bar if you just want to grab something quit or just hang-out and enjoy the crowd.

Many thanks to Richard Ariano(General Manager)of PF Chang of Alpharetta, Georgia. You and your staff made my engagement to the love of my life a most memorable event one that neither of us will ever forget. I am considered one of the most romantic men of this day among my fiancee?s family and friends because of the "Ring in a Fortune Cookie". Richard, it is people like you that make restaurants so successful, with your love for the customer and your willingness to make every visit to PF Chang a joyous occasion. I enjoyed PF Chang before but now my family and friends consider your Restaurant our first choice among all restaurants world wide.

    Happy Holidays,

Ok, so it's not traditional Chinese fare. It's a little electric but very tasty american asian style dishes. Different than what you're used to in a chinese restaurant. A fresh change from the norm but don't expect to need a doggie bag. The portions are sufficient but you won't have trouble eating the whole dish by yourself. A little pricier than usual for a Chinese lunch but a nice change to the norm.

You can have pretty good Chinese for ok prices in a nice atmosphere as long as you get there early for lunch. I would not suggest this place for dinner as it is overpriced and does not handle the mass influx of Atlanta diners well.

Try the lettuce wraps, one of the best in the city.

The restaurant came on the market with quite a splash. God food, imaginative cusine, and a great ambience. The best that can be said for it now is that the rate of decline has slowed to make it a mediorce restaurant. It is no longer a "destination!"

I ate at several PF Chang location and their food was pretty good. However, it's more tailored to meet the American taste but so I really couldn't call it an authenic Chninese restaurant. But overall, if you just want to get good food for a reasonable price, it's a good place to be.

People please. Make a trip down to Buford highway and eat at any of the chinese restuarants there. That is what Chinese food should taste like, unlike P.F. Changs, which merely is glorified American-Chinese food served in a rizty atmosphere.

    Message from P.F. Chang's

P.F. Chang’s is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang’s chefs hand-roll dim sum, hand chop and slice all vegetables and meats, handcraft every sauce and wok-cook each recipe, every day in every restaurant using fresh ingredients.

With roots in Chinese cooking, the culinary landscape at P.F. Chang’s now stretches across Asia with diverse, culturally inspired recipes including hand-rolled sushi, Vietnamese-style soups and bowls, traditional Chinese dim sum, wok-fired chicken and beef entrees, and family style noodles and rice. All made from scratch every day.
