I can't believe the other reviews are for the same restaurant. We have had horrible service before, and decided to give it another try. Based on our experiences, if you want to go to a restaurant expecting to have good service - forget it!! The restaurant was not crowded, only a couple of other tables were occupied. The waitress was passive aggressive. Smiling, but giving very poor service. We had her for a server before and it was awful. I wished I had asked for the other waitress, the other people were getting pretty good service. Other people that we knew personally, had come in after us (a party of 6) and were finished eating before we even complained about not getting our food. It was a school night and my daughter had just received her award for yearlong headmaster's list. We went in expecting to just have a casual, happy dinner, but after wasting an hour, we left without eating. I spoke to the manager, and subsequently, my husband spoke to him. He didn't seem overly concerned that we had been there for over an hour with no dinner. At that point, I decided that I wouldn't enjoy my dinner anyway and we left. I can see why they weren't that busy. Past customers probably had the same sorry service and are no longer patronizing the restaurant. I expect to see an "out of business" sign on the door very soon. If you ignore this review and eat there anyway, good luck. At the very least, ask for the blonde waitress, she will at least give you decent service. For the food, it is okay. Not spectacular, but a good buy for your money. We mainly would go there because it was close to home. However, after this last experience, I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

FOLLOWUP!!!!!!!!! THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED FOR BUSINESS ----- JUST AS I PREDICTED. TAKE NOTE MANAGER/OWNER, IF YOU HAD LISTENED TO YOUR CUSTOMERS COMPLAINTS AND TAKEN ACTION TO IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE, YOU COULD POSSIBLY STILL BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!!!!!

This restaurant is absolutely great. Their santorini is very good and for the first time in my life I think a restaurant put too much shrimp in with my meal I was so full I was just able to finish it! Great food! The service is spectacular! If you are expecting real arabic (lebanese or syrian) hummus you may be surprised by what you get but the hummus itself was absolutely great. The calamari was amazing some of the best I have had! They are pricey, but for the food and the service (some of the best I've had in savannah) it is worth the price. And their Peroni is very fresh.
The only advice I have for anyone is to insist that they have a soup on the menu other than the soup du jour. Like an italian wedding, lentils, or a pasta fagoli.

We went to Grapevine on a Friday night to celebrate an anniversary. Our server's attitude was kind; however, she and the busser were practically hovering throughout our meal. It felt intrusive--not helpful, but rushing us-- taking our plates away before we were finished and making it awkward many times. (Note: it was a slow, rainy night with empty tables and no waiting customers). We ordered an appetizer that came after our entree--no explanation or apology. Then the salad that was supposed to come with one of the entrees--all backwards and no apology! The food was good and had very nice presentation. Decent flavor and portions for the price. The environmental aesthetics were disappointing for the menu and prices--as if it had trouble deciding what kind of restaurant it wanted to be. They claim to have a Greek edge, so we ordered Tzatziki with pitas and were very disappointed (tasted like Ranch dressing with dill in it).

I went to the Grapevine for the first time a couple of weeks ago. they serve Greek food, the best I've had since last eating in Greek town in Chicago. To my surprise, they had an outstanding female pianist/vocalist, and this was on a weeknight. All in all, a very enjoyable dining experience!

Starting with the friendly staff, this is a restaurant that's brought me back time and time again. You are treated as though you are the only customer in Grapevine.
If you're looking for a drink before or with your meal, they've just installed a full service bar.
Then comes the food. It's wonderful! Everything I've ever had is great -- and their crab burger is awesome.
Finally, the desserts are so fresh. The baklava is my favorite.
There are many great restaurants on Wilmington Island, and in Savannah in general, but Grapevine always keeps me coming back.

You can't argue the food is great and the service is very good as well. However, I found the place to be a bit on the pricy side for my taste. It is up-scale. Seating a little close so comfort in dinning is also a bit of an issue. But the food is great!

PROS: good parking, clean, great food,
CONS: Small and can be alittle crowded , pricey menu

Hands down THE best mediterranean food in all of Savannah! The food is piping hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best dining experience possible. From the calamari to the stuffed salmon to the home-made baklava - everything is top-notch!
