Disgusting restaurant...they store tea in old soy sauce buckets which aren't washed out before they use them. Everyone sticks their hands in the tea to fill pitchers. Nobody wears gloves when prepping food. Servers grab asks with care hands. Salad dressing that go bad if not refrigerated sit out all day long. Soup is made with chicken broth but they tell vegetarians its vegetable broth. Allergic to shrimp? Kitchen person who puts together orders doesn't wear gloves and will grab shrimp then chicken then beef and not wash hands.in between. Sometimes they use rotten shrimp or chicken but soak it in soy sauce to cover the smell. Food sits out on tables from 5 pm to 10pm even while it sometimes gets as.hot as 90 degrees in the kitchen. Sometimes you'll see food fall off a cart while the chef is going to a tabpe...they pick it up off the floor take it.in the back and reuse it.

Carpet hasn't been changed in years. Under carpet is completely molded. Mold inside walls and probably floating in the air.

New owners are former owners of Nagano. they like to serve deermeat http://www.savannahnow...

They got rid of all their best chefs. All the chefs are Vietnamese.

Sushi cases don't work and don't keep fish at proper temperature.

Enjoy.

This place has got to be the best Japanese food available in Savannah! The chefs are very entertaining and HILARIOUS! WE try to go here whenever we are in Savannah. And we always make it a point to go here whenever we have an excuse to celebrate anything. Birthdays here are a riot because the chefs come out to the table and sing happy birthday to you in English and then in Japanese! It is soooo funny! The Prices are very affordable and the portions are HUGE! I cant wait to get back there again! Reservations are generally a good idea as they are usually pretty busy. Reservations will get you in a lot quicker.

Pros: The SHOW!

Cons: Sometimes there is a long wait. Guess that means the food is GREAT!

Masato has excellent Japanese food! The portions are huge and very affordable. They have Filet Mignon dinners for under 14 dollars. We eat here for all of our special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries etc... The service is always fast and the chefs put on a great show. If you are new to Savannah or just passing through I recommend you check this place out. Be sure to call ahead to make reservations because they are usually pretty busy. With a reservation you will get in much quicker.
