I, too, give this office a low score. I just went for a cleaning. I am the kind of person that brushes at least twice daily and always have but they made me feel like my mouth was a disaster area and claimed I needed to pay for a deep cleaning. Then they tried to sell me on oral cancer test and other upselling. This was after the panoramic xrays they said I needed as opposed to the bitewings that were covered by insurance.

After all that selling they did, they now did not have time to get to my cleaning because they needed to do someone ahead of me and they'd be back in 45 mins. I could read a magazine while I waited. I opted to leave and never come back. Dirty mouth and all.

You all are seriously crazy!!! If someone is taking care of your mouth yea its going to cost a lot since you have not done anything to help it in years!!! The money adds up. If your mouth was healthy you would either get it for free with your insurance and at a good price! Or if you spent more on the insurance you got the over all price wont be so high. You all wanna blame them for your mouth when they are only doing what is needed they don't make up the price YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY does.. Helllooo do you people not know what your buying... Maybe you should check yourself out first before you blame a dentist that is only telling you the truth...They don't want to loose there license over you.. Give it a REST!!! I have gone there i had a deep cleaning which was 450 not bad since i have not been in a while and yes i have to come in every 4 months but its so my teeth don't start to fall out.. I use to work for a dental office and i went in not saying a thing.. this office did a great job in taking care of me and my health.. And yes i did take the oral cancer test yes it was 72 but when i go to other doctors they check everything why should a dentist not check for cancer in my mouth.. who else is going to check there.. I will continue to recommend this to my friends and family the are up to date on all technology and very friendly.. Thanks North Roberts Road..

I will be the first to admit that I do not visit the dentist as often as I should. As a person of limited income, dental visits have always been a luxury health service for me.That said, X-rays showed I had no cavities, but I was told that I had periodontal disease. The last time I went they to the dentist (4 years ago) they told me I had gingivitis so periodontal disease seemed a logical progression after so much time elapsed. I bought the $350 kit to fix my gums. I was then offered a teeth whitening service for $450 upon my next visit which was scheduled for 2 weeks later. I thought this was weird considering the "unhealthy" condition of my gums. I decided my teeth looked surprisingly fine as they were and did not need any whitening.Upon my return visit I was told my gums were still unhealthy and that I would need to come back in 4 months instead of 6, that I would probably need to buy a really expensive tooth brush, a tongue scraper, and get a $75 oral cancer screening (not covered by my insurance). I politely listened to the sale pitch on the tooth brush and then declined, she persisted that if things didn't improve I would need to get the toothbrush or risk more serious surgery. She also said she would put me down for the cancer screening for my next visit. I said that I did not wish to have it, and that I did not have any of the risk factors associated with oral cancer as per the literature she had provided. She insisted that I get it and said that they refuse to continue seeing patients that refuse the service. She asked when I would like to make my next appointment, and I declined to do so, instead requesting a reminder notice. At this point she begins to get an attitude with me and make persnickety comments. She rushed me through the receptionist and I was out the door without so much as a good day!I would further like to note that throughout both visits I was under the care of the dental hygienist. I did not see the actual dentist for more than 2 minutes and he didn't even look at my teeth!I am considering dropping my insurance and saving my money to see the dentist I really want. While everyone is really friendly here at first, when you leave you will feel like you just bought a car, not like you just saw a health care professional with your health and best interests in mind. I would not recommend this dental office. I wish I could return that $350 dental floss and mouth wash!

Tried to charge $650.00 for a cavity inlay that they said that I needed. and also said that I needed $1700.00 worth of work done to my teeth and gums (periodontal Disease).

Went to another DDS and they said that they only charge $107.00 for a cavity inlay and I don't even have a cavity!! I don't have gum disease according to the new DDS and my total bill will only be $401.00.

North Roberts Road Dental also charged me $60.00 to reprint my x-rays.

I do not recommend this dentist at all and would be surprised if they are able to keep their licensing with all the price gouging they are doing.

I had a deep cleaning done in November of 2008 over 2 visits. They mis-coded the treatment and billed for both uppers on the first visit, then left upper and lower on second visit, which my insurance then declined the bill. I personally went to their office twice and explained to them what my insurance told me, and that they would need to resubmit the claim with the correct dates and correct quadrants. They resubmitted it incorrectly again and I was sent 2 letters threatening that the bill would go to collections.

The billing in this office is almost comical, and their tactics are awful.

Stay away from this practice.

I went in as a new patient for cleaning and exam. I was escorted to an exam room and they wanted $1200 to clean my teeth. I have always had regular dental care and after seeing an absolute rip off..I walked out.I returned to my previous dentist for a deep cleaning...$260 bucks.I spoke to my son who is an oral surgeon in another state and he advised me to report my incident to the ethics board.

I have had a toothache for a few days and this morning it was getting worse. I contacted North Roberts Road Dental Group since they are listed with my insurance. I spoke with Polly and she made an appointment for me at 10:00am. I showed for my appointment and the front office staff was extremely friendly. I completed all my paperwork and Polly took me back to a room. The doctor came in with his assistant and looked at my tooth. He had the assistant take an x-ray and showed me I had a broken down filling that had decayed into my nerve!!. He explained I needed a root canal. He started the treatment and to my surprise I had NO PAIN!!! I always heard root canals are very painful. He was able to complete the entire treatment today and was even able to put the crown on my tooth today also. I don't have to go back for any more treatment on this tooth. Dr. Harris is my hero and definitely my new dentist. I would recommend him to everyone.

I visited the dental office because I had a broken tooth. The dental office scheduled my dental appointment the same date that I broke my tooth. I was greeted by a friendly staff, and the dentist was very nice. The dentist examined me and stated I needed a crown. The dental office has a new machine that makes the crown, in the office, the same day. I received the crown on the same day I broke my tooth. VERY COOL!! I even got to watch my crown being made!! I had a great experience and I am forever grateful! Thank you!

My review culminates over several dental visits at Henry V - North Roberts Rd Dental Group. I first started going to that dentist some time around March or April of 2006 when I first moved to Kennesaw. It was my second 6 month cleaning (about September 2006) that I was told my mercury fillings needed to be replaced. I scheduled a visit soon after that to have 2 fillings replaced. I made another appointment about 2 weeks later with the sensitivity of my teeth bothered me. I had to pay for an x-ray for them to investigate if there was an issue. They told me sensitivity would take 2 more weeks to subside. The next 6 month cleaning, about April or May 2007 I was charged $4 more than my dental insurance would cover for a routine cleaning. There shouldn't have been any charge. And when not paid in a timely manner as I thought it was being cleared up with my insurance provider, they sent the bill a second time threatening to go to collections. I could not deal with their billing people directly. No one should be using this dentist facility! Insurance company should investigate for fraudulent treatment sold to clients.

They have horrendous billing ethics. I feel they are asked to make up patient needs so they can collect more money, driving up costs and our insurance premiums! They are part of a larger organization Nutt Consulting, avoid them all.

I have just recently moved to the area from New York. I was very worried about having to find new medical and dental offices. To my much surprise, because I am a hard nose NORTHERN, and very hard to please. I found North Roberts to be a nice transformation from my old dentist of 13 years. The front office greated me with such a warm greeting, my first thought was...Wow! Their laying it on thick. But no, the lady at the front counter Paula was just as genuine as she could be. She escorted me to my chair and at the end of the visit, escorted me to the front door. What I found geniune about that was, I am elderly, and when I said thank you, she said "If my mother ever got wind, that I didnt respect my elders, she would get me" Thats genuine. But even more so, the doctor was very detailed in my visit. I had already knew going in I needed a crown, that was told to me by old dentist. I didnt tell Dr. Harris this to see if the same diagnoses would be given by him. He did in fact diagnoses the same. Unfortunately, they use all porcelian crowns, which is more expensive, but a better quality. I did research in the quality of the crown, and I found that the all porcelian crown has a longer life span. The hygenist Kristal was very nice and funny! I really enjoyed her southern disposition. However the oral cancer screening was not something I felt I needed, but her argument on the matter was almost convincing, maybe at my next visit, if my insurance will pay for it. The positive side of this visit. Very pleasant, imformative staff.... The negative, the cost of the crown, verses the metal one, and the oral cancer screening should be a choice, but I do understand the importance.
Because of the cost of the crown, I am rating this dental office only 4 stars. Thank you to the staff, for a pleasant checkup.

Mary

There was big push to buy "extra" services/products not covered under insurance. The final invoice to my insurance was also mis-coded which resulted in a charge to me, even though it was a rountine cleaning. North Roberst road dental was unwilling to work with me to resolve the dispute.

Ratings_icons It's an ok dental office...

Anonymous

My service at North Roberts Road Dental, in the beginning, was great. The office staff, dental hygienist's and the Dr. were all very nice. I unfortunately had to have 3 root canals! My first ever, so I was pretty scared and intimidated, but again Dr. Zamora was nice and gentle and so was the hygienist. When I came in after my last root canal to receive the permanent crown. I was greeted by a new hygienist and a new doctor. It freaked me out a little bit, but I said to myself, "it will be ok." Well, the hygienist (after reviewing my chart and x-rays) tried to take off my permanent crown from my past root canal! I had to tell her which one was the temporary crown that she was supposed to take off and replace with my permanent. Then the new Dr. came in to make sure everything looked ok and he proceeded to tell me that I needed ANOTHER root canal after Dr. Zamora had already done x-rays, examined me, etc. and determined that I only needed 3 root canals. Not 4 like this new doctor was telling me I needed. I felt like they were trying to get MORE money from me and my insurance company. Also, almost every-time I came into the office for an appointment I had to sign a NEW "Policy Agreement" They had a new "Policy" every-time I walked in the door it seemed like. I have since transferred. I was not 100% comfortable there, I felt like they didn't take the time with me and go over my personal dental issues. It felt rushed most of the time. I am not sure about everyone, but I definitely do NOT want my dentist to rush with me. I pay too much money to have them rush like they did. I suggest Dr. Edward Karlin's Office off of Windy Hill. They are ALL very personable there, they take their time and they explain themselves. It helps me to understand better.

We used to have this group but they only do general dentistry and they do not do cosmetic at all or other special dentistry works. they prices are not that great either compare to other dentists. We had to change dentist and found Dr. Amason in Kennesaw (see my review). Overall a good general dentist but I do not think he should have 5 stars.

PROS: none
CONS: not a cosmetic dentist

Finally we have found a GREAT dental group. We recently got new insurance and the dentist that we had been using was not on the plan. Thanks goodness because if he was then we would never have found this group.

We were able to make an appointment for a cleaning the very next day. They were very friendly and courteous.

They were running on schedule. They actually took me 20 minutes before my appointment time. Once they took me back I did not wait at all. The hygenist was waiting for me. They did xrays, cleaning and out the door I went. (With no cavities)
