I went there with friends today because of all the good things I had heard about it, the amazing french toast, the great cinnamon rolls, etc. We got there, sat down, ordered, and 40 minutes later we still did not have our food. The table right next to us who got there 20 minutes after we sat down got their food before us... and 2 out of the 3 dishes that we had ordered ended up at their table. The sweet potato pancakes were very good I must say but the best they could do for the poor service was write the cinnamon roll off the tab. My friend didn't even eat an entire piece of peanut butter french toast because it was so rich and unappetizing. I will definitely not be going back unless it's to get a pastry on the go. They need to get their act together and keep order tabs straight.

Highland Bakery is a great place for brunch as evidenced by the line of people waiting for a table on the weekend. The food is definitely worth the wait. They have something that will please everyone.

Highland Bakery has the best shrimp and grits ever and it is served with jalepeno fociacca bread that is to die for. But everything on the menu is fantastic. I especially love the breakfast items and the chicken salad sandwich. You can't miss with Highland Bakery and don't forget to take home something sweet to eat later - they have awesome red velvet cupcakes!

Be warned - you will want a cinnamon roll. If not that, one of the many muffins, cup cakes, or other sweet goodness that makes your mouth water when you walk into this place.
Brunch is amazing. It's so amazing you might want to walk in with your elastic pants on. Hell, just don't wear pants it'll give you more room to enjoy the variety of brunch items that exist on their menu. I highly recommend this on a short list of great brunch spots in Atlanta.

Highland Bakery has the best breakfast in town! The wait can be a little long sometimes but it's worth it. The coffee is also excellent too. It's my top brunch place!
