After I politely called the owner of this salon Sulamita Palmer for an overpriced color job that was terribly done just 2 days prior. She angrily asked me to meet her at the salon. There, she greeted me as if she wanted to fight. Sula started screaming obscenities at me while her friend was trying to calm her down. We were all confused, including her own entourage.. My husband and I left, without her ever offering to fix my hair nor reimburse me..
I have heard all over town how confrontational this specimen can be, but gave her the benefit of doubt until NOW. Her UNLICENSED staff changes pretty often, because of her temper. I probably was one of very few customers left @ her Norcross salon. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

I have been hearing about Dominican stylist but have never gone to one. Some views are good and others not so good. I have a friend who has been going for some years now and her hair is very long and healthy. (No perms) She recommends me over and over that I go and at least twice a month... Okay, okay, I'm going to tomorrow, Sula's Hair Beauty Salon, will let you know my opinion/results.

I started going to this salon back when it was Perfect Hair Salon...the owner Ada always took beautiful care of my hair and people always asked where I got my hair done. Ada had to go on leave and when I came back the salon was Sula's. They did a pretty decent job getting my hair straight but they cannot style hair.

I made the mistake of walking in before a trip out of town and asking for a touch up...
They had a lady who was mostly shampooing hair apply my relaxer and she left it on a little longer than I'm used to when I got her attention she proceeded to rinse it out. My hair was set, blown out and I left.

Two days later I used my flat iron and my hair started to smell like burning chemicals. Whenever I would just warm up the flat iron afterwards it would smell like burning chemical. And within two weeks my hair started getting dry, breaking, and falling OUT! I went to another Dominican salon and was told that my hair was over processed and that the shampoo lady probably didn't use a neutralizing shampoo.

I have gone to Dominican Salon for about 18 years and have always had beautiful healthy hair. Thanks to Sula??s I??m going to have to cut and nurse my hair back to health. I would NEVER return!

Overall, my experience with this salon was good. My hair was really straight and felt nice. The only problem I had was the styling or lack there of. My hair is a neck length so I guess its easier for them to style longer hair.

I have been going to Sula's on N Peachtree Rd for going on two years now and they are the best. Like one person said, there is a wait sometimes and other times you can get in right away. Alex does my hair and they use good products as well.

I have taken my daughter to many Dominican hair salons in metro Atlanta only to be disappointed with the results.

See, my daughter is following me and growing her relaxer out but she still likes the straight look and a pressing comb just won't work for her. She is into sports and sweating is an issue as far as hair goes.
So I came across Sula's when I went to Norcross for some house products. I returned home, looked Sula's up on the internet and was surprised to see that she had gotten rave reviews about her ability to style hair to the point of it not being altered by the GA humidity.

Yes, I was skeptical but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. $35 was way less than what I had spent before on a wash and blow out, so what did I have to lose.

I wanted my daughter to have a treatment as well because she had not had a moisture treatment all summer. That was another $10 added on. Oh and the ends trimmed, another $10. All in all I spent $55.

She sat in the chair at 9:45am and was complete at 12:15pm. (2 1/2hrs)

When I tell you I walked in Sula's to pick up my daughter; my mouth literally dropped to the floor and the first words that came out were "OMG, it looks soooooo gooood!" It is no lie.
I was VERY pleased with the results and plan to take my daughter back once a month to get her hair done and every three months for moisture treatment.

I tipped the stylist $5 and told her we will be back in a month.

Ok so this was my first time going to a Dominican hair salon but I hear rave reviews about them. So I traveled from Nashville to Atlanta to experience this phenom and I was IMPRESSED! I recently grew my perm out and all the hair on my head never had been straighten. My hair dresser here straightened it out but it "went back" as soon as I went outside. But at Sulas they got it straight and it STAYED straight! They even roller set my natural hair!! GREAT

Pros: straight hair, great customer service, in and out service, products

Cons: difficult to find

I love Sula's. I'm so happy i found it. Dominican salon's are the best. If you have alot of hair, specifically long, thick, permed or unpermed hair, Sula's will blowdry your hair soooo straight. You have to be able to take the heat though. Be prepared to wait, they don't do appointments, but it's worth it. The ladies are so sweet. Adrianna and Ibis have done my hair in the past, but all the ladies are good!

I really like this salon, my mother and I have gone here a few times and have been pleased with our hair everytime. I love these dominican women, they do an excellant job with the blow out. I have heard from others that Sula does an excellant job with weave.
