I've eaten at Cotton Patch several times. The talapia sandwich was good. The fried green tomatoes are some of the best in town! They're even better on a hamburger!
Zach the server is worth going to Cotton Patch. He is endlessly friendly and accomodating. They should put him into management. The guitar/singing entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights is a fun plus! Inside the bar/res't, turn the music down in between 6pm-8pm for those who are just there for a nice, mellow family meal. Thanks.

Ate at Cotton Patch this past Sunday and was very disappointed in the food and kitchen. Food was terribly slow coming out(how long does it take to steam shrimp?) and was not up to par. Dumpling and chicken soup was not soup but a side dish since there was no broth at all. Stuffed Tilapia came out minus any stuffing and the fish was overdone. It turns out they were out of the shrimp and crab stuffing but no one told me or I would have ordered something else. They must have been out of mashed potratoes also since they never arrived.
Zach, the server, was the greatest. He was apologetic, solicitous for our welfare and made up for the poor food and incompetencies of the kitchen. Zach and the atmosphere would probably prompt me to try it again with the hopes that the kitchen gets their act together.
The Manager on Duty(Joe) was a jerk and should find another career. The table next to us were displeased(the Tilapia again) and Joe told them that the fact that the kitchen was out of certain items was "not my fault" There was little of any apology and a horrible attitude lacking in customer service - he should take lessons from Zach!

My wife and I went for dinner early on a Saturday (approx 6:00) and the place only had 2 other tables (not busy at all).

We were seated and waited nearly 10 minutes to get water and we watched for another 10 minutes as our waitress stood out front talking on her cell phone then finally returned to take our order. Our appetizer never arrived. My wife had the Jerk Chicken and I had a chicken dish that was supposed to have a jalapeno sauce but came out with no sauce and was very dry. When our check came we had been charged for the appetizer and after asking to have it removed from the bill had to wait nearly 10 more minutes to get our corrected check. This may be a nice place to get a beer and peanuts, the menu is affordable (if they bring you what you ordered), the food was average.

In sum, I could get the same quality of food elsewhere for a similar price and not have to deal with a preoccupied and poor server. We will not return.

I love places that allow you to sit on the patio with a beer with live music playing. The food is good, they have awesome lunch specials and you get a lot of food for your money. On cold nights, they have an outside heater to keep you warm. Both the interior and exterior is nice, this place reminds me a lot of Austin, Texas. The staff is friendly, I didn't see one waitress that wasn't smiling - it's just a great place. For those who are not familiar with downtown, it may be a bit tricky to find, but just give 'em a call and they'll be very happy to help you find your way.
I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Very nice place to go for a drink, sit back and relax, listen to some live music. They offer snacks such as hamburgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc. Nice place to go on the Weekends and relax, walk on the river, stop by for a quick drink.

Everyday it is something different at this cute, cozy resturaunt. The lunch special that we love is the grilled porkchop plate. It usually comes with new potatoes and green beans and a roll for around $5... The food is filling and just right portions. The tea is excellent and the glasses never get near empty.... I highly suggest this resturaunt.
