They have falafel too, but the main thing is the Belgian fries with many dipping sauces--try several. Still sad that the Lumpkin location closed, but worth a trip downtown.

K bob has good food, if you come at the right time. When the owner is there. Other times you can't be sure how delicious your sandwich will be. The fries are always a winner though, with one of the many dipping sauces they offer.
The cashiers have not always been the most service oriented, but they do alright.
K bob has recently started offering fruit salads, and now tuna as one of their sandwich meats. They are also selling jars of their dipping sauces now too.
Their prices are good, and they offer a discount club of some sort.

PROS: TASTY fries and sauce
CONS: meat quality can be iffy

Achim's (a Belgian restaurant by nationality) speciality is their sandwiches - they are served on light, porous white buns and stuffed with your choice of tasty meats and/or veggies (beef, chicken, beef and chicken mix, tuna or vegetarian - that is grilled on a spit and sliced super thin - like in Greece), and topped with tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers - feta cheese is available for a little extra.

The french fries are incredible - crispy and delicious (think really crispy Wendy's fries). The best part - you can order gourmet dipping sauces to go with them, like creamy feta, pesto, black olive, bbq, curry, flavored mayo and roasted red pepper. Its well worth the splurge and calories to indulge in these.

Salads, ice cream, beverages and beer are availbable, also.

Prices are reasonable - all food is between $1.60 and $8; and beer is $2-3.

Another Achim's branch is located nearby on Lumpkin Street near the Stegman Coliseum outdoor track.
