This is our favorite Carrabas and our choice when we want Italian food. A special shout out to Manny who always makes sure we are taken care of and welcomes our guests as though they were his own. We have enjoyed all the dishes we have tried and find them consistantly tasty and presentation is artful. Watch out for the bread, you don't want to fill up before the food arrives. ;-)

My family's experience when we eat in the restaurant has always been positive. The servers are attentive and the food is great. The problem is that due to our hectic schedules we eat at the restaurant maybe 10% of the time. We use Carrabba's take out service 90% of the time. Unfortunately, their take out service is horrible and, for some reason, I haven't learned my lesson after Carrabba's has screwed up on several different occasions. Maybe I subconsciously enjoy the suffering? Their take out service is well-known for completely forgetting parts of the order. I'm not talking about something simple like an extra side of cheese or the bread. Whole meals have been forgotten (they forgot my Chicken Bryan one time). Management has always been accommodating when I've called them after I've arrived home and realized parts of my meal were missing. But there's only so many times their take out people can forget to include desserts, meals, side dishes or the marsala sauce on the Sirloin Marsala (true story!) before you give up on the restaurant all together. I finally started checking my order while I was at the restaurant to make sure it's all there (they get it right maybe 50% of the time). I sent my husband to pick up the food today. Big mistake. He didn't check and we discovered after we got home that a salad wasn't put in our bag. To top it off, the mussels in my Linguine Pescatore were far from fresh. In fact, they were completely inedible. I'm coming back but that's only because the manager promised me a free meal the next time I come in. Hopefully the take out people don't forget to put it in the bag.....

Pros: in-restaurant dining is good

Cons: take out is terrible

f you are in search of wonderful Italian food, search no more. The Carrabba's Italian Grill at Cumberland has been there for more than 10 years. This restaurant never disappoints. From perfectly cooked Calamari to Chicken Marsala or Tagliarini, there is something for everyone, every budget and every type of eater. We were warmly greeted from the moment that we walked in the door and made to feel as if we were the only customers in the place. What an amazing experience to compliment the outstanding food. I have NEVER had better Italian food anywhere else, even in Italy.

I figured Carrabbas would be like any other Italian restaurant, but I was very impressed. Our server was super friendly and it was one of the best salads I've had. The sangria was great and the bread was still moist and warm.

I dined at this Carrabba's for Mother's Day with my wife and mother-in-law. It was my first time at a Carrabba's and I loved it! A table tent advertised the Beef Brasato, and I got it. They said it took 6 hours to cook the meat to perfection, and they weren't lying. The meat was so tender I didn't need a knife, and it was seasoned superbly. The waiter was very very friendly, even after being on his feet for over 8 hours that day.

Carrabba's at Cumberland provides exceptional service time and time again. They never disappoint. When you first walk in, the friendlist host staff in Metro Atlanta is there to greet and seat you. They are even nice enough to provide toys for the kids to play with while you wait . The servers provide outstanding service! The food is absolutely delicious. It is definitely the best place to get Italian food in the area. The Chicken Marsala is wonderful! So is the mezzaluna! You'll definitely want to try the tiramisu.

PROS: Exceptional food and service

In general, I love Carrabba's. It is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. But this Carrabba's is not up to par. I ordered the crab cakes, and they were really small and did not taste as good as the crab cakes I have had from other Carrabba's. Also, the waitress was not very friendly, but maybe she was having a bad day. Also, my strawberry margarita was not very good...it was very weak and watery. My shrimp scampi was very good though, and I love their bread. Overall, this restaurant was just okay, but I do not think it is as good as some of the other chains.

Mussel appetizer - delicious. They are very generous with their yummy bread. The bread and mussel sauce is a meal itself.

Pollo Maria - best dish on the menu. Their fish specials are also well. Their steak (some sirloin cut) is dreadful. AVOID.

Pastas are a mixed bag. Alfredo sauces are much better than the red sauces.

Bottom line: stick to meats that they grill, and you'll do great.

They also could do to improve the ambiance a bit. I feel like I am sitting in an upscale Shoney's...

I don't know why these chains get a bad rap all the time, but there is no way on earth you can find a better marsaela sauce in the country. I don't know what they do to make their chicken so damn tender and juicy but the Chicken Marsaela makes my top 10 list.

Carrabba's is a GREAT restaurant that is very poorly represented in Atlanta. I've never had a bad experience with either the food or the service, and I've been there A LOT!!! Definitely try the Pollo Rosa Maria

The well-crafted menu focuses on regional Italian approaches to steak. Besides steak, some good bets are calamari, mussels in white wine, wood-fired pizzas and decent pasta dishes that sometimes have a bit too much on them but are always…
