As an East Cobb resident who's worked in Roswell for 30 years, I've used many shops for car repair. We stumbled on Bruce and the boys about 6 years ago and they have yet to disappoint either my wife or I. Volvo, Saab, Infiniti, Honda, Lexus (aged...),Mitsubishi and GMC truck have all bee a part of the mix. Problems big and small. As the saying goes, "it's all good." Routinely recommend IMport Auto Services to my friends and co-workers and will recommend them to you.

I've taken my cars to import auto many times. they've done good work, but recently they seem to be needing to pad their bills. parts were way overpriced, labor overpriced, and they didn't check something i asked them to. Turns out I had a problem and needed to bring it to another mechanic. recent bill included a $50 oil change sneakily broken into multiple line items, 20 for labor, parts, disposal fee. that's ridiculous.

Not fancy, but great service. Bruce and his team do a great job at reasonable prices. They are exceptionally honest. On two occasions I took my car to the dealer first and then to Bruce. Both times the prices were substantially better and some apparently unnecessary things avoided. I no longer go anywhere else.

When I first went to Import Auto, I was very pleased with the service. Although I thought the work was expensive, I wanted the best quality of service for my vehicle. I was in a frontal collision and my car was sent over to Import Auto for some work on an electrical component the collision shop could not complete. Import Auto said that I needed a new water pump, which is located in the center of the impact zone, and the collision was not the source of the damage. (The cost of my original repairs far exceeded the amount the insurance company had allocated already, not sure if this had any effect on the situation). When I had the first repair done which required a full diagnostic less than 3 months prior, nothing was mentioned re: the water pump or brakes. I blindly assumed the mechanic must know better than me since I'm not a mechanic, against my better instincts. The sound that coming from my car was similar to metal in a garbage disposal. I went ahead with the new water pump and other recommended services that totaled over $1,600. Upon fixing the car at my cost, the mechanic found additional damage from the wreck that wasn't fixed by the original collision shop. The parts were charged to the other repair shop, yet I paid the labor fees of over $110 per hour. Then, after the entire process, I was told that I needed new brakes because my one brake pad that had the "wear sensor" on it was worn down more than the rest of my other brake pads. The mechanic informed me that this would affect the cars performance, and it was urgent that I replaced my brakes immediately for safety concerns. Since I had paid over $1600 for work, I just didn't feel comfortable. Additionally, it was recommended that I get new rotors, especially if I didn't get my brakes done within the week. When I took my car to the next person, they said I could come back in about 2,000 miles and get my brakes done and that I would not need new rotors for at least another "brake job" or two.

Pros: Computer Equipment and Staff Knowledge

Cons: Non-essential repairs and not being able to get the right parts on numerous occ. costing more time and money to me.

With three cars in the family, and all are not new, having a reliable mechanic is a MUST. We have found this with Bruce and his team of pros at Import Auto Services. A previous work collegue sent me to him with my car and he was much less than the dealer, while using all first quality parts. We take all of our cars to him now and he only does what needs to be done, and occassionally makes maintenance suggestions that will save us money. These guys are terrific. By the way, despite the name of their business, they have worked on both our domestic and import cars.

PROS: Reliable and fair-priced
CONS: None
