This place's food is mediocre and the delivery SUCKS. I've now not once but TWICE have had to cancel and order a refund because this place can't deliver on time or at all. These guys don't have their stuff in order. You want pizza

Roccos has New York style pizza. They have huge slices of pizza. The prices are cheap and good. The toppings are always fresh. It is always speedy too.

Good New York-style pizza. The service and speed is average, but the prices are very good and the toppings are great tasting and fresh. Sometimes it's hard to find parking.

We have tried them all. This is the best in town. This is as good as it gets. It is even cheaper than pizza hut and dominos.

Pros: Great pizza, reasonable prices

I was just finishing dinner last week at Benedetti's when the waiter informed me that the restaurant would be closing at the end of the year. The owners are turning it into a pizza place, so for all of you that will miss the garlic rolls and (my personal favorite) veal picatta, get in there before the 30th of December, their last day, for one last meal. Another old restaurant bites the dust.

We ordered take out from Benedetti's since we just moved to Atlanta and had yet to unpack our plates, silverware, and other kitchen equipment. This was perfect Italian comfort food! It wasn't fancy by any means -- just plain and simple, very traditional. The garlic butter rolls were warm and soft. The salad was fresh and I really liked the herbed dressing and all the goodies that came on the salad -- black olives, etc. For my entree, I had the chicken picatta with fettucine alfredo. The picatta had WAY too much sauce on it, but now I know to order light on sauce. The accompanying capers were quite yummy. The fettucine was soooo good... creamy, thick and flavorful. It was decadent! The only drawback was that the sauce separated when I reheated it, revealing just how much butter was used in its creation. But, delectable either way. My husband had the chicken cacciatore which was also very flavorful. We got a buy one get one 1/2 price from campusfood dot com, so that made our whole takeout meal about $22. Great deal for so much food.

The restaurant itself was quite charming. Although located in a strip mall, it's got cute red pleather booths and was dimly lit with a great looking wine wall towards the back of the restaurant.

We'll definitely be back for more.

I signed up for CitySearch just so I could tell you HOW GOOD THIS PLACE IS. I had the meat tortellini and it was the best italian meal I have ever had in my life. Go there, you will see what I mean. It is bello giusto!

I've now ordered from Benedetti's several times. The only good thing I got was the Sicilian. Everything else tastes second rate -- not very flavorful at all. How disappointing because I adore Italian food. The only really good thing continues to be the free delivery.

Pros: free delivery, sicilian pizza

Cons: rest of the menu

I went to Benedetti's a few nights ago with three friends, we were seated promptly in a booth by the friendly servers. The lighting was subdued, with music playing and candles on the center tables. I felt as though I had stepped right into a small restaurant in Italy. We ordered a bottle of the ruffino chianti, which was excellent, and were brought a large family style salad and rolls. Perhaps the last reviewer was there on an off night, because the salad was crisp and the dressing tart but tasty, and the rolls were dripping in very yummy garlicy butter. I will admit that the shrimp scampi one of my companions ordered was rather boring once the shrimp were gone (after that it was pasta in butter and white wine). However, the seafood alfredo I ordered was very satisfying, the sauce was creamy and the seafood, which had been frozen, was suprisingly fresh tasting. My husband ordered the chicken florentine, and our other companion had the tortellini which came in a pesto/marinara cream sauce. Both were well prepared and excellently flavored. Throughout the meal our server treated us as old friends, very funny, and also very ready with suggestions. For desert we had cappucino and their tiramisu, which was not made on site, but you could hardly tell. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
Smoking is no longer allowed, and they close at 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. You can find their menu online at campusfood.

Pros: Great for dates and meeting old friends.

Cons: Dim lighting makes it hard to see if you have bad vision.

I signed up to Citysearch solely so I could warn you -- last night was the worst meal I have been served in an Italian restaurant, ever. We walked in and got excited -- small dining room, dimly lit, wine bottles stacked cellar-style in the back.

Looked promising. Then the food arrived.

The garlic rolls were stale and cool. The house salad featured yellowed iceberg lettuce and was drenched in dressing. Then the entrees came -- chicken francese and linguine with sausage.

The francese was desperately in need of a good salt job, and was drenched in a too-cool lemon cream sauce that congealed within a few moments on being brought to us. Francese is usually a pleasantly bright dish but this was really bad. It tasted oily, and artificially lemoned.

The linguine and sausage was worse -- it was inedible. The sausage was unbelievably tasteless and dry. The red sauce was sweet as though from a can.

We were really bummed. And the stacked wine bottles along the rear wall? All were empty, and terribly dusty -- just there for show. All style and no substance. Sorry to be so brutal but there is much, much better Italian American food to be had -- anywhere.

$30 plus tip later... we were gone.

I was very impressed with the setting, perfect for a nice dinner with someone special. Not because it's quiet, but because it doesn't feel like you're anywhere near traffic or the city, but in a good friend's dining room having some delicious dishes.

The garlic rolls are amazing!

My companion and I wanted to try Benedetti's for some time, but we were a little put off at first by the mixed reviews. When we finally visited, it was wonderful. We both ordered seafood dishes, and while we could tell that the ingredients were previously frozen (which is par for the course in Atlanta), both of our dishes were still flavorful and distinctive. The have a large and varied menu of Italian dishes. Both of our entrees were too much for one person, especially since they bring you delicious salad and these wonderful rolls - which are like little garlicky pieces of buttery heaven. We had two baskets.

Don't come if you're on a diet.

The service was friendly, but the servers were obviously stretched a little too thin. The restaurant was cozy and well-decorated. They no longer feature live music.

Benedetti's is romantic, the food is great and our waitress was hilarious. The staff were very lively and one could tell they enjoy working there. The menu is extensive both in food and wine. It was our first time eating there and we will be back.

This restaurant was awful. The dish that I ordered for 10+ dollars was hardly more than overdone pasta with canned tomato sauce. My friend was not content with his dish either. If you're looking for good Italian, move on to the next restaurant.

We have eaten at Benedetti's many times and have never had the negative experience mentioned in a previous review. The food has always been wonderful - our favorite entree is the baked ziti and the garlic rolls are amazing. Our only complaint has been the service. Everybody there is courteous, but they seem to be understaffed at times. During busy times, sometimes the maitre'd is nowhere to be found. Overall, we love this restaurant and will continue going there, although it often takes longer to get seated, eat, and leave than it should.
