I got a radiator leak and they made me to wait 1 hour and gave an estimate for 700$ to replace my radiator. I knew they were lying so
I went to 2 other mechanic shops and made sure the problem is only with my Thermostat. Got it fixed by replacing thermostat for 9$ plus labor.
30$ outside v.s. 700$ PepBoys. You decide.
But they were kind enough to accept it and refund the diagnosis cost of 29$.

One time when I moved from Oregon to Georgia. The mover damaged one of tires. So I went to Pepboy to check it up and ask them to write a report for me to get compensate from the insurance. They knew it is a problem. But they refused to write it down. This is my bad experience with them.

As a women, I felt very comfortable shopping here. The staff were helpful and not condescending. They carry a large inventory of items and offer service as well. Their prices seem comparable to what I have seen.
PROS: Friendly and knowledgable staff
CONS:
