If you are looking for somewhere to go to lunch in downtown Atlanta, you should try Vickery's. The food is fantastic. The service is prompt, professional, and friendly. The atmosphere is perfect for anything from a business lunch to a date. If you go, try the Cuban or the Fried Egg Sandwich. Both are fantastic. The prices are relatively low for the quality of food you are getting. Everyone should check this place out at least once!

Met friends here for lunch and the house salad was fantastic--which says a lot for a house salad. The proprietor was hilarious and friendly. Sounds like this place gets hopping on the weekends.

Besides being hard to access, once you get in the restaurant, you realize it's a "happening" place and you can have a lot of fun people-watching (perhaps because it's downtown, the people who are downtown at night make a special effort to be there, and the energy is lively). There is a good presentation of the food, the wait-staff is professional, and you are there to have fun, too. With the great combination of food and drink and people, you will not be disappointed.

Vickery's is a converted home in the mid-town area on Crescen Avenue, a short street parallelling Peachtree. The bar scene is mainly couples and groups -- not really a singles scene. At lunch, most patrons are diners. Vickery's has a diverse menu with healthy and unhealthy fare (Try the black bean cakes!). At evenings, the bar is hopping, but food is still the main order of business. Not many beers on tap, but good service make this a "try it" at least once kind of place. Parking is miserable, difficult, and expensive.
PROS: location
CONS: parking
