Atlanta Opera Ticket Info

I've attended two operas by the Atlanta Opera Co.
within the last six months... and they were both
spectacular. "Turandot" was the first I attended. I was
absolutely bowled over by the magnificent sets and
costuming.... as well with the wonderful artistry of the
soloists. The second opera was "The Marriage of
Figaro". Mozart's music was fantastic. All the singers
were marvelous, and I paid particular attention to the
orchestra. How wonderfully the orchestra meshed with
the singers.... all, always in pitch with each other. And,
of course, the sets were terrific. I would venture to say
this Opera Company takes a back seat to no Opera
Company in this country, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York. The operas are held at the
Cobb Energy Centre for the Performing Arts, which is
a beautiful setting for the operas.

The great experience I never forget came from this place, home of the Atlanta Opera. They have different shows all year around and each time I visit is a different experience. The crowd, the atomosphere, the vive, the quality of a stage, the amazing set, sound and performance......everything is so awesome!!!

The atlanta Opera get better and better all the time, especially since the move to the civic center. They have greats show and anyone can afford a ticket with the cheapest being around 20$ (Student discounts as well). They are very professional and want you to have a great time and enjoy yourself but also learn something - they hold pre performance lectures at every show (Optional but great!). Also - arrive ON TIME! The show must go on, with or without you!
Parking is about 5-10$ in various lots around the civic center but the marta station is only 2-3 blocks away - Tkae marta is my suggestion!
