I have purchased 2 sets of tires from this location and I received OUTSTANDING customer service and competitive prices each time. The staff is very knowledgeable. I never had a bad experience on any of my visits; I have worked with different employees on each visit they were all friendly and knowledgeable. Plus complimentary WiFi and refreshments while you wait :-)

A a matter of fact there was a mistake made with my purchase that I didn't realize until a couple of weeks later-the staff and management made sure to correct it and went above and beyond to make it right.

First bad experience:
I went in to test my car battery, which was a few years old, but no evidence of any problems. They came back from testing and said, "It's shot." I agreed to buy a new one, and sat down to wait. I'm waiting and waiting. Finally after about an hour and a half, they come tell me the guy is on his way over with one. They never said they didn't have one to sell me in the first place. After it was installed, I asked to see my old battery so I could see what rebate was left on it. They couldn't find it! They brought me into the work area and showed me a bunch of ancient batteries, none mine. I believe my battery didn't even need to be replaced.
Second Bad Experience:
I bought 2 tires there, then a few months later, needed to replace my other two, so I went back and bought 4 new tires, but was keeping the first two that were only a few months old. Everything was great and they were very nice. The manager was not there at the time of purchase. The manager came back in time to write up the sale. He naturally charged me for disposal of 4 tires, thought I was keeping 2, so should only be charged for 2. Natural mistake, because he wasn't there in the beginning, so natural to assume I replaced all 4. Anyway, he started offering me oil changes and other stuff instead of just writing a new credit card ticket. He was getting very angry - turning red. I could see his employee seemed afraid of him, and I myself felt that he would like to hit me. I just wanted him to write a new ticket. He finally did it, and scolded me to tell him next time before he writes the first one. How do I know he's about to make a mistake? The new ticket took 2-3 minutes to produce. I don't know what other trouble it causes him, but he was about to go ballistic, and was very rude to his employee while I was standing there. I called Kauffman's customer service line to tell them, but I don't think they cared at all. I think the manager was probably friends with the representative I talked to. This guy kept control, but barely. What if there had been a real problem?
I will still use Kauffman Tires, if fact Ilve had a couple good experiences in Decatur, but will never risk being in the company of the psycho at Oak Road and Five Forks.

I purchased 4 tires from Kauffman Tire on Oak Road in Lawrenceville. As I was driving home that evening I noticed a clunking sound from the driver??s side wheel. The weight had fallen off. Well you would think it would be simple to take the car back and rebalance the wheel. I took the car back on a Saturday they told me they were too busy and if I wanted to leave my car over the weekend they could get to it on Monday. The other choice he gave was to come back on a weekday before work and it would take about 15mins to balance the wheel. So, I leave and come back on a Friday at 8:00AM when they first open to try this again. I was told that it would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to do the work. They explained that the long wait was due to work left over from the previous day, and that there were also 2 people in front of me getting their tires rotated balanced. This is not acceptable because if the work was done correctly the first time I would not be wasting my time going back and forth to get the wheel rebalanced. My advice to Kauffman is if you are going to have your customers wait hours for service at least get Wi-Fi access installed so they can get some work done while they are waiting, that way you are not completely wasting their time. I will never do business with Kauffman Tires again.

I took my car due to a nail on the tire and not only did they repair it for free, but they also rotate tires at no charge and they did not push me into buying anything. I'm very impressed by this company. I would definetely recommend this to anyone who has problems with their tires.

I had a leak in one of my tires they had patch it up and 2 days later I was back it turns out that I needed a new tire since they patch it instead of changing it they gave me a new tire
