Smith foods has an advantage over the larger chain supermarkets in that it is small and you can run in and pick up an item or two and get out very quickly. Since it is not in a shopping center, but rather has it's own parking lot, traffic is less of a hassle. I occasionally stop there to pick up an item or two that I need for the night's meal if I don't want to have to drive across town to Kroger, Publix or Ingles. The prices usually seem pretty good. On the down side, the store doesn't seem as clean and well organized as the national chain stores. The selection is more limited, though they have all the basics. And the produce doesn't always seem very fresh. They do accept manufacturer coupons.
PROS: Good for quick stops for canned goods & packaged foods
