Tabernacle

I saw the Pet Shop Boys here for the 1st time they were here in Atlanta. They chose the Tabernacle and it's an experience YOU NEVER FORGET. Of course, I was not in general addimisson "seats" more like "setting"--no way. I was in the balcony closest to where you could the the boys the best. I have seen them since but the Tabernacle was the greatest--AND THEY ARE BACK OCT.19--RUN AND GET TICKETS, THEY PUT ON AN UNBELIEVABLE SHOW, VISUALLY AND MUSICALLY. Thanks Tabernacle, you're the best venue IN TOWN--PERIOD!! There is no sub.

PROS: Beautiful, FANTASTC lighting & superb pounding music.
CONS: Seats & more Seats, but it makes since. The Tabernacle is the BEST!!!

It is entirely true that the venue does not have many seats - there are seats on the balcony levels, but not on the floor. However, this is perfect for some shows - the kind where audience expects to go wild, dance, mosh and the like. The view from balcony is pretty decent, and that's where comfort is. There are bars strategically located along the main floor and on the balcony level. Bathrooms on the second level are not very large and usually have huge lines, but there are also often-overlooked bathrooms on the bottom floor, with more stalls and usually a lot fewer people (I'm speaking from female perspective, here).

The Tabernacle is a place were a lot of concerts are help. It is kind of an interesting place but they need to make some additions. There are no seats and it is very crowded. Also there is no smoking. It gets hot very quick because it can get so packed. It does not look all that clean. They do have some great concerts there tho.

The venue is a pretty neat place, and overall I have had good experiences here, though there is never enough seats and if you are at the stage level, good luck getting out.

This is a neat venue to watch a show. I'm much happier on the higher levels where I can sit down, be close to a bar, and get a good (albeit from above) view of the stage. Also, there's no smoking.

The air-conditioning system needs to be fixed, though. It can get pretty hot in there.

CONS: A/C doesn't work well

I just wish this place had seats. I went to a concert here and had to stand in heals the whole time! I wish they would have at least stated they don't provide seats in the venue, that way I would have been more prepared.
