My lawn is dirt. One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Run away!

Run, don't walk away from this company. Terrible experience for community board members, owners, basically everyone. They encourage you to setup automatic payment plans and then fail to appropriately notify you when the payment

Sentry Management is great! Our community is well maintained and the HOA fees are very competitive with others in the market. What makes Sentry stand out is the excellent customer service. Our neighborhood looks beautiful. I have 2 friends living in communities nearby that are managed by a Sentry competitor. While they pay the same amount in fees, their community looks terrible. They have repeatedly complained to no avail. They both have their homes on the market and are hopeful a home in my neighborhood goes on the market (we currently have no homes for sale, I??m sure in large part to the wonderful appearance and management Sentry has provided). Thanks Sentry.

Our community manager with Sentry Management is a delight to work with. Communication is very timely, attendance at our monthly HOA meetings always occurs, and oversight of our community is consistent. We recently experienced a problem with inconsistent and sloppy landscaping work from our contractor. Our manager was right on top of the problem ?? I??m not sure what happened but the neighborhood one again looks great. We are so pleased with Sentry.

For 2 years now, using their cumbersome HOA payment process has been a hassle. Last year, I paid the HOA bill twice...the website spit out an error code and I called 4 times to the accounting department to confirm my payment went through. I was assured it "probably went through." The multiple attempts to get a definitive confirmation were met with rude, unhelpful accountants. My payment DIDN'T get through, I paid a couple weeks later again, and now this year there is an overage charge on my account from last years 2 week lag in payment (the second payment).
I just called once again this year to ask why I had this charge, and again was met with a rude and unhelpful accounting department. I find the website terribly confusing, cumbersome, and hard to use. The staff are defensive and not helpful.

I moved to a neighborhood in Arizona managed by this company. In the 9 months I have lived here, I have seen what I understand is a continual decline in the quality of the neighborhood. I have even called and spoke to them to ask why there seemed to be no oversight or enforcement of the HOA rules. I had to contact them twice as they claimed to have never gotten my first message. Yeah, right.

The existing neighbors are fed up with the HOA and say they have allowed serious deterioration of the over all neighborhood. There are cars abandoned on the street for months at a time. Yet they say that despite regular inspections, they have not seen any cars that have been on the street for excessive time. How you miss cars that have been egged, have layers of dirt on them and cob webs connecting the bottom of the vehicle to the street is beyond me. Also, they seem to have missed a new neighbors moving boxes that had been thrown onto a common area for over a month. And finally, they do not enforce property upkeep for occupied homes. I have a neighbor that has never trimmed a bush, cut their grass, pulled out the dead bushes. Not to mention, pick up trash that accumulates in their yard. Then yet another neighbor, that parks their car on the gravel in a common area.

I even asked the person that claims to be the person responsible for driving through the area on a regular basis to look for bold violations. She said she had never seen any of the things I described. So I took pictures and e-mailed them to her of just violations on my street alone. Instead of admitting that they missed things, she turned her inquiry into, who I was. All she cared about was who was this guy complaining. Nothing has changed since. Based in my experience, I found little integrity in the people I spoke to. I would avoid this so company. We are already looking for another home in a better managed neighborhood

Average at best, I built my home in 2005 and have watched the neighborhood decline since. Moderate to litte communication from the management company, serious delay when they do communicate. Noticed we spend thousands of dollars a year on lawn care and pine straw and I still dont have fresh straw in my yard. I have my own lawn equipment and would love to take care of my own yard and home and keep my money every month.... No thanks let the homeowners run the property!!!!

This management company does nothing but use a major portion of your HOA dues for overhead to pay thier employess to sit on thier ass and point fingers in other directions and do nothing. HOA's are better off paying the bills themselves and keeping the money in reserves for expenses and repairs. They are un-responsive, un-organized, and have way too much overhead and red tape. Employees are overworked and don't keep up with budgets and just don't care.

Sentry Management in Atlanta, GA is the least cooperative management company with which we've had experience. They are often unreachable, they do little to assist with parking problems in our complex, and their personnel are incredibly unhelpful and unfriendly. They definitely take their role as a management company for granted and do not appreciate the fact that they are employed by the community, rather than dictators of the community. Advice is to consider a different management company.

I would advise any HOA to RUN not walk away from using this crappy management company. Our association was socked with a $95,000, yes you're reading correctly, water bill because the manager failed to get in touch with the city of Atlanta. Through some digging, we were able to determine that our developer and homeowners owed the association almost $20,000. This could have been caught by asking one or questions. In addition, we discovered a $16,000 tax bill that we have been asking for since February. We missed the extension date because the manager was slacking off. Now we have to pay our attorney to figure this out. The response from this guy's boss was that we should find another management company. What about an apology? What about accepting responsibility for leaving us in a somewhat precarious financial position. DO NOT USE SENTRY. Spend more money and find someone else.

They manage our townhome community and do a fairly good job, especially in those situations where you need to send your neighbor a violation of the covenants but don't want them to know it's you. Really nice and professional.
