Good food, pretentious wait staff. Nice and quiet, good music. Prepare for aggressive cougar crowd on Wed/Thursday nights. Wonderful brunch, great place to take special guests. The stuffed Pork Chop is always a favorite.

What a wonderful repast at Aqua Blue ?? we belatedly (due to my health challenges) celebrated our Anniversary there last evening, and couldn??t have been more pleased with the delicious food, and the terrific service!

I chose the Calamari appetizer ?? superbly tender with sweet chili sauce = yum! For main dish, every bite of the Lobster Ravioli was a scrumptious experience?. real lobster chunks were cradled in delectable home made, melt in your mouth ravioli, swimming in a luscious cream sauce, which the fabulous chef was kind enough to modify to exclude ??shrooms & fennel (dietary limitations) for me!

My finicky hubby raved about the shrimp spring rolls ?? I actually could see the shrimp bulging out from across the table! He also appreciated the trout, with both baked potato & fries. Even the bread selections were delectable ?? especially the focaccia & corn breads.

The service was exceptional ?? Meghan was a dear ?? they should ??clone?? her - she produced a lovely surprise for our anniversary! Even tho I thought I??d explode if I took another bite (she graciously had previously boxed up half of both my appetizer & entre), I just had to sample the molten chocolate cake with touch of crme freche & strawberry, and my hubby appreciated the ice cream compliment. A fitting topping to our fantastic evening.

It certainly was worth every mile (we live up in the north GA Mountains), the three month wait to celebrate, and every penny! We can??t wait to come back for another go, and we discussed which sets of our guests we??ll want to treat to this marvelous feast soon!

My husband and I were visiting from Savannah a few weeks ago and came here with friends. It was really great. We were seated right away and had a wonderfully cozy and intimate seating area. No yelling across the table required. The food was awesome; never before had I seen or imagined fried green beans but they were wonderful and the highlight was the sushi. Beautifully prepared and gobbled up quickly. The service was also very good, never waiting or looking for help but also not hovering or interrupting. I am sure we will be returning here on our next visit to the ATL.

We recently had friends in town and were looking for the perfect spot that has everything- great sushi, entertainment, drinks and something for my "allergic to seafood' friend. We found the PERFECT PLACE- Aqua Blue in Roswell (off Holcomb Bridge/GA 400). From the outside it looked crowded, but as soon as we walked in- we were seated right away (we did make reservations). The service was incredible from start to finish. Adam was our server- he was always there when we needed him and was very knowledgable about the specials and how each menu item was prepared. We started with an appetizer trio that is very unique -& so incredible (calamari, a barbeque that is to die for and fried green beans with a special dipping sauce). Our friends raved about all three items. The mixed drinks and our bottle of wine was fantastic, but the main courses were the highlight. Between the four of us, we had the gorgonzola filet, the sea bass (which I highly recommend) and 2 orders of the BEST SUSHI you can get in Atlanta. Each of the managers came to our table to make sure everything was perfect. We will definately be back. The atmosphere is great for couples, friends, office parties, and even families (we took our kids there as well and they loved it). If you want to impress friends from out of town, this was the place to go.

After paying too much to dine at one of the lackluster restaurants in "Old Roswell", my girlfriend and I stopped by Aqua Blue for a casual drink and conversation in what I consider to be the most "downtown chic" environment, rising head and shoulders above the strip mall mentality that prevails Outside The Perimeter. Our bartender was very attentive and made us two of the most perfect Extra Dirty Martinis I've ever had. Not only were they delicious but they came in a martini glass that could have doubled as a fish bowl! We drank one each and were feeling absolutely no pain. My girlfriend begged, in a vodka induced slur, that she absolutely had to have another. I counceled against it but calmer, I should say sober, heads did not prevail. We had a great time. Great service and felt like we'd been downtown even though we never left the "burbs". Our hangovers the next day are the stuff of legend and I haven't seen my girl touch vodka since, but I applaud Aqua Blue for a job very well done! They also have awesome sushi!!!

I went to Aqua Blue for the first time recently on a Thursday night. A great place! This restaurant/bar has live music where everyone gets down on the dance floor. It generally caters to older crowds (40 and up), and is also a great place for people watching (nothing is funnier than an eighty year old man trying to boogy with someone half his age). Our group was an age range of 25 to 30-something. Needless to say we got free rounds of drinks from the guys there. Great food, and good drinks at a reasonable price (they have an awesome wine menu). Service was fast and good too!

After a tough day on a client visit, 3 co workers and myself came here for dinner. It was quiet yet upbeat, and had something to offer everyone's palate. The sushi was fresh, light on the tongue, and stayed intact. Fish were grilled to perfection, and the tenderloin was like butter.

My husband and I have eaten at Aqua blue at least a dozen times over the past 8 or 9 months, sometimes with our children and sometimes with family members or business associates. We have never been disappointed! The food is stupendous. The service is very efficient and even on busy nights we have rarely had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. We have never taken anyone there that didn't love it. We strongly recommend this restaurant! Be sure to try to calamari!

Our reservation was for 7:45 pm; however, running late we called. They then moved our reservation back to 8 pm. At 8:15 pm we were still waiting. The first time I asked when we would be seated, I was waved off by an employee working in the front. Nodding his head arrogantly toward the bar he dismissively said, Go grab a drink. At 8:25, I approached this person one more time. Yet again, he told me to go have a drink at the bar. I told him I was not interested in doing that. He then rudely muttered something about my being late and that I had some nerve to be complaining. From there the conversation devolved into a heated, intense exchange whereby this person actually got in my face and invaded my personal space. Naturally, we left NEVER to return and will discourage anyone else from ever eating there.

Working in Alpharetta there are many establishments that cater to large groups for company functions. I find that many are chains and lack any real character; I found this to be untrue of Aqua Blue. The staff had personality, the menu was, although what you'd expect, seasoned with a few nice surprises. The sushi, being a huge sushi fanatic, was delicious and fresh. They were able to provide excellent service to our group of about 20 (sometime picky - myself included) people. I am sure no one went without a drink or food for a minute. Excellent!

We were greeted very warmly by the host, but had super spotty service after that. The sushi was overall delicious, we enjoyed a rainbow roll, but the shrimp tempura roll was a bit soggy, probably due to it sitting around before the waitress got around to bringing it to us. My husband ordered the special risotto and could not finish it. It was greasy, clumpy and overly salted.

My recommendation, sit at the sushi bar and enjoy what they do best, thus avoiding slow service and bad entrees.

We have been Frequenting Aqua Blue for 2 years now and love the friendly atmosphere where we are treated like family. Whether we are at the bar or in the dining room it is amazing how well all the staff know their food and wine. The calamari is to die for and the sushi is superb. You can go in and always be greeted by the same staff members who remember your favorites you enjoyed times before. It is a beautiful atmosphere to go and feel like you are at home.

A big group (16) of us headed out to the 'burbs' when the NBA experience was in town- in order to avoid a long wait. What a nice surprise this place turned out to be! Cool vibe, great drinks, good food. Our waitress did not know the menu that well- but the wait staff as a team took great care of us. This place is a don't miss if you are in the neighborhhod.

It was our first time dining there. I have to say, it was a very very nice. Aside from the noise (expect it at a Restaurant/bar especially on the weekend) it was a very nice dining experience. Our waiter, Travis was great!! Attentive enough to keep fresh drinks on the table but not harassing. The calamari was excellent, as were the entrees. They were very accomodating as we brought in an outside dessert for our friends birthday...they kept it cold and even brought it out with the candles on it. Excellent service and the food...amazing!!!! The atmosphere was a change too...not your Chili's or Friday's crowd...or maybe they were, just grown up.

Aqua Blue put on an amazing New Years Eve party. There was a DJ playing all kinds of music new and old, and the people that stayed till the peach dropped were given a glass of champagne for a toast for the new year. I dined during the 9:30 seating and i enjoyed my time very much. Thank You Aqua Blue.

The service was sporadic and on one occasion rude and terse. Only the house salad and fried green beans deserved mention. Although the dressing on the salad erred on the sweet side. The noise level warranted ear plugs and the Edison beer was flavorless. The accompanying proclaimed beer-battered onion rings could have come from The Varsity and no one but your cardiologist would know for sure. And for all this talk about large portions, the sandwich was adequate but left no thoughts of a to-go box, real or imagined.

Ok, the place is way cool looking, the variety of food good. Nice bar scene. And the sushi is so fresh, beautifully prepared, and served by people who know. Plus a great variety of special sushi. o the reviewers who love that horrible Soto, come here. Oh yeah, and they have the best fois gras in Atlanta! However, on my last visit, regrettably, they got cheap and cut the portion in half! They lose points for that!

This is a great place to dine, etc. BUT, I do not feel that they deserved "Best place to be seen" on this site. I feel that this is not their category. I'm not sure how they won - but, they should stick to food - which they are good at and not try to sabotage this category as they have obviously done.

Dining at Aqua Blue is an experience. On one hand they have better sushi than Haru Ichiban and Soto combined. On the other hand I was served grilled asparagus that was luke warm and so woody that it was inedible. It is a fun place to dine from the perspective of an avid voyeur as the bar set seem to have such an interesting take on fashion, but often times the decibel levels coming from there drown out the entire restaurant making conversation impossible. The wait staff are "forgetful" if you're a single diner: you won't get bread and you'll be lucky if your water glass is ever re-filled. The corn muffins are super, as are the biscuits you get in the bread basket at brunch. The AB Fish and Chips has great tempura battered trout, but the waffle fries were bitter and overly fried.

What a beautiful restaurant! I tried out this local Roswell restaurant on a recent Thursday and found it to be the answer to Roswell's restaurant question: Where can we get great sushi, great steaks, and over the top seafood at one spot? AQUA BLUE! Pick your food based on your mood. They even have sandwhiches (they call them "very big sandwiches") that are big enough to share. Thanks for our new spot!

I had the oppurtunity to visit this restaurant on a recent business trip to the area. I was extremely impressed with the food, service, and decor.

The staff was attentive and knowledgeble. They knew exactly the correct wine to reccomend with my meal.

It nice to see a restaurant of this caliber in the burbs. I will definetly make the extra trip from downtown next time I'm in the area.

I spent Valentines day here, a day late. We were given our own booth, with high wals so that we had complete privacy....a nice touch. The food was great, I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend had salmon, and she loved it too. But the best of all? The Creme Brulee (spelling?) for dessert! Awesome! A 10!
