Eagle Eye bookstore is everything an independent bookstore should be. There's nothing better than a down-to-earth, fun, for-real bookstore with employees who love books.

I buy a LOT of books for my mother, who is basically a speed-reader and has an insatiable appetite for books of all types and description. I long ago ran out of books to give her that I had already read, or that I knew anything about. So I went on a search for the type of bookstore I knew and loved back in New England - the type where you can walk in and say 'what do you recommend?' - and instead of looking annoyed the employees will happily help you. I went to 3 different independent bookstores in Atlanta with no luck. They were friendly and all, and I have no complaints about them, but just didn't quite know what to do with me standing there asking them to help me choose books.

At Eagle Eye I found what I was looking for. While they're perfectly content to let you roam on your own around their packed-to-the-ceiling stacks of REALLY low-priced and REALLY good condition used and new books, when I asked for advice the woman there came around the counter and immediately led me down an isle. I knew right then I had found the right store. I told her my mother's likes and dislikes, and she went up and down the isles, pulling out books and stacking them in my arms. I told her I wanted 10, and she kept going - keeping count - finding a wide variety of things I never would have thought about. I got all 10 books for around $50 (??!!?? - would have cost me $150 anywhere else!), and you can *barely* tell most of them were used. My mother liked the choices - including one I thought for sure she'd hate but that the Eagle Eye woman was convinced she'd like... sure enough, it was my mother's favorite, and I went back to buy myself a copy to see how I went wrong.

Anyway - here's what I love about the place: they're laid back and friendly, they have a TON of great books at ridiculously low prices, they will order or find whatever they don't have - but first they will *call other independent bookstores in town to tell you where you can find it right away*, they have fantastic author signings and events, they have fairly regular 50% off sales (which are nearly obscene in how cheap things are - I bought 6 books at the last sale and paid $16), and when you ask them for advice - they are happy to help and know what they're talking about. Couldn't ask for more than that!

Eagle Eye has a large selection of both fiction and non-fiction books. The shop is neat and well-organized, and prices are better than most used bookshops in the area.

Customer service is great and the selection is very good. It is much more pleasant to visit here than the "big" bookstores. Prices are very competitive and the sales are even better.

I always visit Eagle Eye for the best customer service - personable and knowledgeable on most subjects. Prices are competitive with other small bookstores and much less expensive than the "Big Box" stores like Barnes and Noble.

I went on the midnight release of harry potter and the whatever, most recent book. The employees stayed late to put on a magic show for the kids. Here is refuge from the mainstream, and shelter from barnes and noble.
