Free Spirit Salon - An Aveda Hair

I have gone to the Free Spirit Salon for several years. To be honest and quite frank if Adrian were to leave the salon tomorrow his clients would follow him. No questions asked. Adrian is hairdesigner who loves his profession and it shows in his flawless work. His passion for his profession is so very apparent when you first meet him. He is confidant in what he does and is never afraid to try the latest and newest styles. Adrian makes sure he is up to date on every hair style and hair coloring techniques. Very often he will fly to various seminars with in the USA but also Europe. His unmatched talent, impeccable manners and professionalism make me call him the Michaelangelo of hair design. I assure anyone out there that he has earned that reputation. I have lived in Paris London and New York. Hopefully he will remain in Atlanta. New York would surely embrace him............I may have to follow him.

I have been seeing Adrian for about 15 years. He has taken me through very short hair to long hair. I feel I have a personal connection w/ each member of the staff members. I enjoy the pampering I receive each and every visit. I drive 50 miles each way to see Adrian, worth every mile. My color and highlites get so many compliments. Please visit Free Spirit, all sylists are fab.

I have been a client of Adrians for many, many years. He gives the best haircuts and color based on what works for you. The services are customized for the individual's needs and preferences. I trust him completely to keep my hair looking fabulous and healthy at the same time. On the rare occassion I have been out of town for an extended period or had no other choice but to go to another salon - I was completely dissatisfied with the outcome. In fact, I have had to have Adrian and his "team" undo the damage that other stylists have done. I highly reccommend him - he is an expert at what he does.

I drove 16 miles from Lawrenceville on the recommendation of a friend who is a long time client of Adrian's. The trip was worth it! Adrian explained what he would like to do with my haircut and showed pictures so there would not be any surprises. His attention to detail and artistry is beyond any experience I've ever had in other salons. I love everything about my haircut and styling. Paula is a talented colorist and gives a relaxing shampoo. Adrian also did a massage of my neck and shoulders. I've lived all over the world and this salon is by far the friendliest. Everyone I saw leaving the salon looked fabulous! I'm so pleased, I booked all my appointments through the end of the year because Adrian is very busy. It took three weeks to get the appointment I had today. They are an Aveda salon and will even touch up your make-up after the hair styling. Great experience and very happy new client!

I was referred to Free Spirit by a friend. I have super curly hair and can often be apprehensive at a new salon. The entire team, including the owners, made me feel at home. They came over to introduce themselves and oftered me coffee and tea at every opportunity. As for the color and cut, Adrian was absolutely fabulous! He cares what you think but will interject his professional opinion. My hair has never looked so good. Adrian had incredible attention to detail and spent a lot of time on my haircut to make sure it was perfect. He was also incredibly honest about the products I should and should not be using but there was no high pressure sales pitch. I was blown away by the experience. They are truly a unique group of people that seem to love what they are doing.

Pros: You will feel like a celebrity!

Firstly, I have never ever written a review for anything, but my experience was so wonderful that I had to give Free Spirit Salon a 5-star review. I am naturally a brunette, but wanted to go blonde and was looking for a salon to get it done professionally so I looked around and decided on this place (they have a coupon on the website for 50% color or highlight with purchase of cut and style). I booked an appointment with Reina; though my appointment changed 3 times, I am so glad I decided to still go here. Reina was such a fabulous colorist, and knew how to make the haircut and color work for me, even being as low maintenance as I am. I have never loved any hairstylist or cut before, but before it was even all done, I LOVED it. And all of the stylists that I came in contact with were all so friendly and helpful. You will not regret coming here.

Well let me start by saying I first went to Free Spirit because it is an Aveda Salon and I love Aveda products. That is where the love ends though. I have never written a review before, but I had to spread the word about this salon. It turned out to be the worst color job done to my hair and the most I have ever paid to get it done. Please do not waste your money or time. Victor, the owner of the salon did my color as well as the cut. My highlights have never looked this bad before. I still have really bad roots showing. I paid extra to have a "senior stylist" color my hair to make sure it would turn out well, and it was worse than if I would have done it out of a box myself. The overpriced "cut" was trimming the angles around my face which took him no more than 2 minutes. Did I walk into Great Clips and not realize it?

I moved to the Alpharetta area a few months ago, and have now visited Free Spirit a couple of times for highlights and a cut. Reina is incredible! My highlights are beautiful, my cut looks exactly the way I wanted it to, and I even went to her for my prewedding haircut. Plus, she's a great conversationalist and gives the best scalp massage ever! The entire staff is cheerful and helpful. All in all, every experience I have had with this salon has been wonderful!

I recently received a cut and style by Allison and was extrememly happy with the style she recommended for me and her great service! The salon was beautiful and everyone was really friendly and helpful! My mother goes there as well for a cut and color and Allison always goes above and beyond for her as well! Keep up the good work!

If you are looking for a new hairstylist let me recommend Jessica. I saw her for the first time last week and she did an amazing job on my hair. We spent time before the cut discussing what look I wanted and produced exactly what I was asking for. No need to travel to Buckhead anymore! The entire staff was kind and friendly. As for price. As always, you get what you pay for! Jessica was worth every penny.

I loved this place! I just moved here from New York and was looking for an Aveda Salon that was close to my house. Reina did such an amazing job with my hair. She was inventive, asked a lot of questionS, and seemed to really take pride in her work as an artist. We had the most awesome down to earth conversation and viola! my cut and highlights came out fantasic! No one has ever made my hair look this good! Go to Free Spirit and ask for REINA!

I moved to Alpharetta, Ga.from Fla. a year ago and needed to find a barber and found Free Spirit Salon a gem of a hair styling shop. Victor & Sandy are great owners and also lived in Fla., so we had lots to talk about. All there stylist are a fun loving group and all real pro's. They even make great Cuban coffee for me. What a winner...you will love them.

You're in for a real treat here. After too many years at overrated, larger salons, I got finally got wise and found one of Atlanta's real jewels. Free Spirit is truly a friendly and fabulous environment of talented and warm stylists. Seek out two of my personal favorites - Adrian and Tammy. Adrian is well worth seeing even though you should plan to wait a while for a first appointment. He's nationally recognized with an amazing "eye" - and he is a total "original" in every way. Tammy is just as talented with many years of experience - she's meticulous, and most importantly, she always "gets it right" . Together, the two of them arguably make up Atlanta's top design team.

My husband and I have been customers for many years and would not think of going to any other salon. The staff is fun and friendly, but take their jobs and the clients satisfaction quite seriously. Victor and Sandy run a first class business and strive to make your visit a pleasant one. I have recommended Free Spirit to numerous friends and they have all become regular customers.

I love this salon! I've been going to this salon for years and am always very satisfied with my highlight and cut even though I've had different people work on me. There seems to be a great deal of communication throughout the salon. The owners are very down to earth people. One is a stylist (Victor.... he did my hair) and his wife Sandy manages the salon. She keeps the salon running very professional and is always very friendly. I will continue to go to the salon and would recommend any of the staff. Most of them have been there for a long time. Oh, and did I mention that it is beautiful.

I've been going to this salon for years. The staff is friendly and always greets me with a smile. The owner, Victor, has given me a great cut every time I've gone. A little out of the ways, but definitely worth the drive.

Victor is the owner of this salon where I have gone for years. Victor cuts and styles my hair and I recommend him to everyone who asks. Your hair is important, and it's certainly something I don't trust to just anyone, Victor makes me feel comfortable, relaxed and I always leave his chair with a huge smile on my face. I pick up all my Aveda products at Free Spirit too, they have a tremendous selection and the prices are great. My husband goes to Victor too, and he is even more particular about his hair than I am...that says a bunch!

I have been going to this salon for years. Victor and Sandy own the salon. While Victor is friendly, talkative and a wonderful sylists with his clients, his wife Sandy is rude. As an owner, Sandy should welcome each and every customer with a smile. She will not say hello unless you speak to her first. She walks heavily and quickly around the salon without smiling.

There have been times that I feel extremly uncomfortable entering the salon.

Everyone should get their hair done at Free Spirit! The customer service was absolutely outstanding. I was offered drinks and magazines, and I only had to wait for a few minutes before my stylist was ready for me. Once in the chair the stylist was cheery and paid attention to every detail of what I wanted. They even offered a binder full of different styles and cuts that they could do if I wanted! My hair looked absolutely beautiful and I will continue to keep going back to Free Spirit. Just for fun I have tried multiple stylists and I can say with confidence that every stylists there is very accomplished and I would reccommend any one of them! They also have a new section of the business called New Spirit for people who don't want the high end prices of a top end salon, but still want the same results. The New Spirit staff is basically just new staff that are being trained by the higher end members. I have had my hair done by these staff members as well and the quality and service is just as good! I fully reccommend that everyone go to Free Spirit!

I got a haircut and highlights last week, and the stylist took the time to ask lots of questions and really understand what I wanted before she began the work. She really listened and gave me exactly what I asked for. I can highly recommend Kristine to anyone looking for a professional who listens to what you ask for.

I was a client of this salon for 20 years. They made a horrible mistake with my daughters hair the week before graduation. They did not offer a refund and my stylist who owned the salon never even called me to offer any words of apology. The problem with this salon is there is a lot of horse play between the stylists. When I was trying to show my daughter's stylist a hair style he just glanced at it and was to busy "teasing" amother stylist to pay attention to what I said. .... the result was that he cut my daughters hair off completely leaving her to look like an onion head for graduation. If that was not insult enough....they had total disregard for us as clients. For 20 years we paid they over $150 a month....but I guess that a $30,000 client was not worth their time.

I have always hated getting haircuts because I was never satisfied and I never knew how to explain what it was that I wanted, but I have had my hair cut twice now by Cynthia Arango at the Free Spirit Salon and they are honestly the 2 best haircuts I've ever had in my life! Everywhere I go I get compliments on my hair, and honestly, both styles were her own creation...she just looked at me and said "let's do this" and I've yet to be disappointed. Not only is she extremely talented but she's one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life! The salon environment was very nice and the entire staff was friendly, but Cynthia was the best and I'll probably never let anyone else cut my hair ever again!

While visiting family in Atlanta, I was in desperate need of a hair cut and color. Always having used Aveda products in the past, I found this great Aveda salon. I stopped in and was blown away at how beautiful the salon was. I was immediately greeted by their staff, and lucky for me they were able to accomodate my needs without an appointment. I have never left a salon with such a feeling of relaxation, pampering and most of all loving my hair. I would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone. Friendly staff, beautiful salon, relaxing environment. I only wish they were located where I live.

I'm a 27 year old man who cares about his appearance. I have lived all over the country and travelled the world. Joel, the stylist I see at this salon, is the best I have ever been to. The staff in general is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant and laidback. Since I returned to school, my budget doesn't stretch as well as it used to, and the price is moderate, but nonetheless an excellent value.

I recommend scheduling at least an hour of your day for a standard shampoo/haircut. The stylists all give outstanding personal attention to their clients, which means that sometimes your appontment may start 10-15 minutes late, but when it's your turn, you will receive the same kind of attention.

I tried this place out of desperation when my old hairstylist left the business and fell in love. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and very capable with any kind of hair. LOVE IT and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for reasonable prices and excellent service. A great value.
