I'm really glad to have and support the Chattahooche Nature Center. My kids enjoy the activities there, and especially the night time events during Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Very reasonable prices for the experience delivered to the kids.

Another reason why Roswell is such a nice community.

This is a beautiful retreat from the every day hustle and bustle. Very nice place to take your kids and family for a weekend out to enjoy nature. Highly recommend for nature lovers.

Located along the banks of the Chattahoochee River, the Nature Center is home to a variety of woodland and wetland critters. Hiking trails, a river boardwalk, live animal demonstrations, life in a log can all be experienced here. A canoe trip down the Chattahoochee River is a wonderfully relaxing family activity.

PROS: Admission is just $3 for adults and $2 for seniors/kids 3-12

Growing up in Roswell, I frequented the Chatahoochee Nature Center often for field trips. This is a neat spot located across the street from the river. They have various wildlife including birds and other critters indoors. There are paths and boardwalks on the marsh as well. A neat spot for kids on a restless summer day!

Its near our place and we like to go there everytime we need to go out and cannot afford long trips. My one year old seems to enjoy roaming and looking at wild life there.

We went to their night hike event around helloween and it was a great experience. They had people dressed in different costume, and it was very educational.

I have a 2 year old & 3 year old & they both love this place. It very affordable & just near than any other place. We ususally take a small walk & they see animals birds reptiles & butterflies. Later we go to the riverside park nearby for lunch & feed the ducks.

PROS: Perfect morning out & shaded walk
CONS: difficult to walk in some places with stroller

The Nature Center off Willeo Road is so close to the city, yet makes you feel so far away. The walking trails are serene and well- marked. I've never felt uncomfortable alone there, which is a plus.

    PROS: serene, comfortable
