On Augusta 1st, 2007 I made purchases at the Target store at Robert C Daniel Parkway $300.00.Most of the purchases were clothes for my son. I explained to the cashier I would be bringing back what did not fit that night or the following day and I asked her if I needed to give her my debit card or if it would be OK to write a check. There were no signs posted on check writing policies. The cashier reassured me several times there would be no problem getting a CASH refund the next day if I wrote a check so, I wrote a check. The next day we stopped at Target to obtain a refund for the clothing that did not fit. The cashier at customer service advises me she cannot refund my money because I have written a check and it requires 12 days to clear the system. I explain that HER clerk told me differently. She makes no attempt to contact the clerk. I explain this is Target's error, not mine and they need to resolve it. She calls "Corporate" for an exception. Corporate also denies the refund. I ask to speak to a manager. She declares SHE is the manager. She is in khakis and a red polo shirt. Three more requests later and we find she is not the store manager. She calls "Jeff". He is dressed like her. He declares he is the STORE manager. I am not allowed to have his last name. He listens to the first three seconds of my plight then picks up a corporate customer comment card and shoves it in my face and informs me to contact corporate. I ask him to show me where Target's check policies are located, and why are they so entrapping, and he demands I leave the premises. I tell him that he needs to have some compassion, research the error, and make an exception for the inconvenience. He has none of these policies posted for customers to view and his cashier advised me incorrectly. I explain I will not leave without a refund. He gets very ugly towards me. Then he walks away, taking all the cashiers with him. He leaves me standing there. He then calls the police and has me escorted out. How humiliating. "Jeff" NoLastName just does not care. Apparently Target is Private Property unless you are spending money with them. If Target screws up and does not want to deal with an irate customer, they walk away, and have them removed from the premises. Corporate policy. NEVER AGAIN will Target get one dime from me.

I love our Target. There is never a problem finding parking. The aisles are big and well lit. They have a pretty good selection of items. The layout is pretty self explanatory. It is a great place to shop.

I really like our Target store for unique and different gift ideas. The prices are fair and you get good quality for your money. When I want something a little more for a gift, I always think of this store.
