Peak contracting not only re-roofed our home but also several of my friends to our complete satisfaction. There was an issue (which has been resolved) regarding one of their manufacturers that unjustly put a lien against some of the homes when the lien should have been put against the supplier that sold the shingles to Peak. Peak paid the supplier however the supplier did not pay the manufacturer. In our litigious society one can sue anyone for anything... I would indeed recommend them.

Unscrupulous, unethical, and incompetent. They claim to "beat" any other bid by $100 only to add extra charges later. They actually put charges on my credit card without my authorization. Would not recommend !!!

I had a troubling experience with this firm, as did many other homeowners. In early summer of 2007 I had storm damage requiring replacing my roof. Within 3-4 months of the job being completed I was notified by certified mail that a lien had been put on my property because Jeff Buffington/owner of Peak did not pay his supplier. Apparently, the supplier can put a lien against the homeowner because the "property" (which are shingles in this case) are still technically owned by the supplier. In other words, I paid Jeff in full but he did not pay his supplier and as a result, I have a lien aganist my property.

After several phone calls to Jeff and attempts to have him do the right thing and get this lien removed since he has been paid, I have gotten nowhere. Additionally, I am told by the roofing supplier that my home is not the only one that a lien has been placed on since Peak apparently did this to several homeowners.

I am being forced to now file a case in court against Peak to get them to pay their supplier-amazing! when all Jeff has to do is get things squared away with his supplier. What kind of contractor leaves the very customer that paid them in full in such a bind.

I tried to apply for a refinance and until I pay this lien I am in limbo. Jeff is aware of this and has not returned my calls and does not seem to care about the mess he left in his wake.

You have a choice in hiring your next roofing contractor, just don't use Peak or any business Jeff Buffington is affiliated with or you may find yourself backed into a financial corner like myself.
