Went into Salon 1050 and was warmly greeted by Lora (? spelling). Stylist listened and assessed my needs, then started cutting. Got a great, should-length cut, which fit my cowlicks and styling preferences. Will go back for a cut and color next time. Just needed a while to like the cut before coloring. Price for cut, shampoo and styling was reasonable verses nearby salons. Friendly atmosphere, it seems like a family-type salon. Free coffee while you wait (good for my morning appointment). Overall experience was very positive and would recommend to anyone seeking a new salon or stylist.

A friend of mine visited this Salon and asked if she should get an all over color. After she was told that her hair was dull and drab and convinced that she should color her hair a bright shade of red, it took them 5 hours to complete the task. Personally, I thought her hair already looked great in the the first place. She got home and then realized that the top was a brighter shade than halfway down to the bottom. She asked numerous people if it looked that way to them as well and they all said "yes." She called and made another appointment and asked to have her hair match the bottom to the top, which would have been very easy. She showed up to the appointment and the stylist did not bother to show up until 30 minutes late. Then when getting there, the stylist and the owner both physically and verbally assaulted my friend calling her "blind" and told her to "get out." Being in the Customer Service Industry myself, I have never heard of something so awful. Due to the amount of salons in the Atlanta area much less on Piedmont Rd itself , this salon should be the last one that anyone spend a dime in or step a foot in! This behavior is unacceptable!

When I left Miami I was terrified that I would never find another person that could cut my hair. I have difficult to cut hair. But then I found Agnes and I was saved. She has given me the best haircut of anyone I ever had, ever!

The price may be a little higher than the haircut chains, ($20 for a shampoo and cut vs $8.95 for just a cut, etc.) but I think it's well worth it. The haircuts I have been getting have been consistently excellent.

I thought I'd find a new salon when I moved to the mountains, but I keep managing to get to Marietta every five weeks for another cut from Agnes. Agnes has been cutting my hair for years, and that long term relationship is what keeps me coming back. My haircut is $20, and Agnes, better than anyone, knows how to navigate my cowlicks to do a haircut that suits my lifestyle. It's a good little salon convenient to where I used to live but good enough to bring me in from Ellijay.

When my mom and I walked into the Parlor Salon, the people there seemed friendly and reasonably good at what they did. What followed was the worst color job of my life, for $180 dollars, no joke, just for hair color, not even a cut! We booked an appointment with an older lady with short brown hair. She was going to give me two colors of highlights to take the red out of my hair. While she was doing the highlights, she had hair in front of my face over half the time and more than once scratched my face with the comb. She could??ve invested in a few plastic clips to hold the hair. When she put me under the heater, large black blobs dripped from the cheap white paper she used to hold the color on my hair. They dripped down my face and into a pile on the smock. I was lucky they didn??t get through the material. She came by, checked the heater, then turned it up to an unbearable heat, searing my forehead. When she finally rinsed off the color, the ??light brown? highlights she was supposed to be putting in turned out to be blonde. She put in a toner and sat me down again to wait. It fixed it, but not entirely. She wasn??t even cutting my hair, so after she rinsed off the toner, she blew my hair dry. She ripped at my head with the brush, and I don??t know how, but she made it rattier with every brush instead of straighter. When all was over, I tried to be polite. We had come here because my mom had been a customer a few years back and found it to be cheaper than our current salon, Intrigue Salon and Spa. I figured maybe seventy five, eighty dollars. Boy was I wrong!! I couldn??t believe my ears when I heard her say ??That??ll be $180?!!!!!!!!!! $180 for two colors of highlights. Not even a haircut. I sat there, dumbfounded, thinking maybe she said eighty. I??ve been ripped off traveling in other countries, but here in my own community?I just can??t believe it. I paid them. I left. And I will never set foot in that salon again.

Don??t go there expecting a cheap haircut, and don??t even go there expecting a nice expensive haircut. They can??t do either. If you want nice, go to Intrigue Salon and Spa, in Merchant??s Walk shopping center. I went there before and regret ever going anywhere else. They give a good haircut and coloring for MUCH LESS than 180. If you want inexpensive but decent, go somewhere like Great Clips. All you??ll get from the Parlor Salon is cheap service for outrageous prices.

I get a great cut at the Parlor. It is reasonably priced compared to what most of my friends pay at other salons. It isn't difficult to get an appointment either. Also, it is next to a Publix. So, you can combine errands!
