My experience with the Music Room, Inc. in Rome, GA was not a good one. Where I came from you are only as good as your WORD. I rented a snare drum set for my son in middle school. I was hesitant to rent an instrument because he was undecided what he wanted to play. At the school meeting the gentleman said you had absolutely nothing to loose by renting from them. If in the first 12 months you decided you no longer wanted to rent from them, you could simply return the instrument and you would receive 75% of your cost back. I did not rent that day because my son was undecided. I called the store and spoke with someone and they verified what I had heard at the meeting. I went into the store and the clerk at the register also verified the same. We rented the set for 6 weeks then returned it after paying for two full months of rent. When I returned the set the clerk said he had never heard of receiving a refund of 75% before and I needed to call the accountant on Monday. I waited until Friday to call and spoke with Heather. She said I had misunderstood. Apparently I misunderstood THREE different times and three different people. I do no consider myself a genius but I also am not an idiot. I had three people tell me the same thing BEFORE I rented from them. Suddenly when it came time to refund, things changed. Just beware when renting from these people. Obviously the are not as good as their WORD.
