Great people!! Great service!!

.

In May of 2010, I took my KIA Sedona to the Precision Tune in Douglasville to have the air conditioning repaired. They informed me the compressor needed to be replaced and I spent over $700 to have to replaced. I was told this cost warrantied the parts and labor for 1 year. About 2 months the air stopped working again. Unfortunately I have to have my car to get back in forth to work and had to wait until I could borrow someones car to get mine into the shop. Driving in the miserable heat the whole time, waiting. I dropped it off last night and now Scott is telling me its going to cost another $400+ to get it repaired because some a/c line needs to be replaced and that wasn't covered under the intial a/c repairs. I'm sure that if the correct procedures had been followed the first time and all lines and hoses checked they would have found that this line was leaking back then too and it should have been fixed with the intial visit! I would not recommend Precision Tune, nor will I ever return to Precision Tune, except to pick up my car this afternoon!
Terrible warranty, terrible customer service!
Precision Tune is lacking follow-up and follow-thru on the work they did on my KIA Sedona air conditioning. What greatly concerns me for women of Douglasville is patronizing tone the owner-Scott, took with me when he called me to try and fix the situation, not my car. I explained to him that I was very unsatisfied considering the amount of money I had spent in May to have the air conditioning in my car fix for it only to work a few brief months. He tells me he has the invoice/bill in front of him and they had apparently given me a great price on this compressor and I should be pleased with that, he also explained he could never give such a good deal in his Marietta shop. This comment, really got to me, I explained to him that he didn??t give me any better price than he would have given anyone else that came into his shop on that particular day driving that particular model of car. And if he did then he was much bigger issues going on, such as gender biases and race. I again explained that all I wanted was for Precision Tune to correct the mistake they had made in May, they didn??t replace a hose the needed to be replaced and they should now replace it with limited cost to me or my family. Scott made the following reference ?? ??Ms. Black if you bought four tires and then suddenly your speedometer stopped working, would you hold the shop that sold you tires responsible.? Apparently, Scott thinks women are completely stupid and that we think round rubber spinning things on the outside of the car control the speedometer?Give me a break! How is that relative? But I do believe that the hoses connected to the compressor which Precision Tune replaced, should have either been replaced initially or not go bad so quickly and yes, I??m find them relative to the air conditioning, which is what I wanted fixed in May. Again, you count on this post being copied to the Kudzu website, I have to protect the women of the Douglas County and the customers of the Marietta shop.

They have an oil change special on Wednesdays to lur in the suckers. They gave me a list of things my car "supposedly needed" and even produced a filthy air conditioning filter to get me to buy into their scam. When I challenged them on a few things they left a crushed soda can under my hood to rattle around.

They are theives! STAY AWAY!

Even though Douglasville is a bit of a drive for most people in Metro Atlanta for car repair, I find it worth the trip. The staff is honest and upfront. If you think your car needs a part that it doesn't need, they will tell you so. If you need something they can't handle, they will tell you. All the work is warrantied for 12 months or 12,000 miles, and that's not easy to find these days.

PROS: honest, knowldegable, warrantied work
CONS: Inconvenient location if you don't happen to live in Douglasville
