Big Shanty Museum

I love to travel to the North East because everywhere you turn you are facing something old and historical. We don't often get to feel that way here. The Big Shanty museum offers so much information about where we live and what this area went through in the Civil War. So much of it had been destroyed and learning about the area really allowed me to appreciate it so much more. I love sharing it with my children so they can grow up with appreciation for the land they live on.

IF you want to teach your children something about history and the significance of the wars, then you need to take them here. The admission is very reasonable, and kids are half off.

Bring the kids and enjoy some interesting historical exhibits while learning about Kennesaw's role during the Civil War. The museum is full of interesting displays and artifacts, and the staff will help you learn more about local history. It's definitely a good stop for a family that's interested in the area's history!
