The Scene
Named after the owner's dog, Manor, who is notorious for being fickle, this women's clothing boutique manages to fit a bevy of goods into a tight space without being cramped. The store's fashion-conscious collection is a mix of popular brands, such as Blue Cult, Red Engine Jeans and Poleci, and lesser-known, more affordable designers.

Suiting a range of occasions, it stocks casual dresses, tight-fitting T-shirts and trendy pajamas. Locally made artwork and jewelry give women another reason to swing into this shopping center bordering the Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods.

Tickled with the Fickle Manor!

by F M.

I can count on the Fickle Manor for fun accent frocks and great jewelry. Earlier in the season, I bought a sassy sweater coat by miss me and a beautiful chocolate brown cashmere wrap that have made my fall wardrobe. More recently I purchased a pair of Jamie Diane earrings that earned me countless compliments, over the holidays! Needless to say drop in often and I always enjoy my shopping experience at this fashion forward boutique. I am pleased recommend this spot to friends and family.

Fickle Manor is fickle...at best

by Lisa F.

I had read the other 2 reviews on the Fickle Manor and was really excited about shopping here. This store really did not meet my expectations at all! The saleswomen were not helpful as previously mentioned. In fact, the girl working barely looked up from her important task at hand-which was filing her nails- to acknowledge my presence in the store. Only when the phone rang and she began chatting it up with one of her friends did I hear her speak. I will never return here. The clothes were no different than something you can find at the cheap teenage stores, like Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe. And they were overpriced. Save your money and don't bother with the Fickle Manor.

Cool Accessoried

by Nikki G. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 725

The Fickle Manor is located on the outskirts of the Virginia Highlands Neighborhood and carries great treandy clothes and my favorite - trendy PJs and Jewelry. The staff is nice, can help you find most anything, the prices are decent and there is always something new. Make sure to check back in with them frequently - they have GREAT sales (some are end of season sales but others are not really predictable)

Funky Boutique

by Suzy W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,036

My kids love this shop. Tons of funky clothing and beautiful artwork. Last time I was there I purchased beautiful handmade necklace that gets me many compliments. I also don't mind the low prices and excellent customer service. Tell the girls at this place what you're looking for and who you're shopping for and they will find you the perfect gift.

Best Style in Atlanta

by Scottya

Guys, if you want to shop for your girlfriend, wife, fiance, etc, this is one stop shopping. I have never bought something at the Fickle Manor that my significant other did not absolutely completely love. JJ got a style all her own, and trust me, it will look fantastic on your girl. Give it a shot. I promise you will be back!

Pros: Very hip shop, hip clothes, hip accessories, and hip owner!

Cons: Cons? Are you kidding me. This place is incredibly cool.

The Fickle Manor always has the best selection of dresses! JJ really has an eye for good fashion. Whenever I walk in, my spirits are lifted by the colorful art on the walls, the funky sofa, the candy jar (always full of deliciousness!), and the assortment of dresses!

No matter the season, I always find pieces to accent and update my wardrobe. The Fickle Manor is a boutique that is actually affordable in this economy and with a terrific selection. The staff is helpful, with great gift ideas, if you need to pick up a little something for someone else? I really enjoy shopping this spot and want to recommend it to others.

Best Boutique in Highlands

by ekhippie1

Fickle Manor is absolutely the most fabulous boutique in Virginia Highland. JJ Tomlinson, the blond beauty owner, is a customer service diva. Her lines are well thought out and fun. You cannot beat the chic dress selection for the holiday and summer seasons! This hidden GEM is a must for your shopping extravaganza.

Pros: Fun ambience with no pressure sales staff.. great lines!

Great Customer Service-Nice Dog

by red8971

I stopped in The Fickle Manor the other day to buy something for my sister...Being greeted by the dog as I walked through, Manor, was her name, let me know right away it was not one of those uptight stores you go into. I do not know anything about womens clothing and apparel, so it was nice to find the owner very knowledgable of the different artists and designers displayed throughout the store and willing to explain the subtleties of each. There were a lot of customers in the store while I was there and she took the time to speak to everyone and answer any questions they had. I remember one lady in particular being louder and more demanding than everyone else and the owner could not have been more courteous to her. It was nice to finally see someone who genuinely cares about their customers individual needs. So I would highly recommend everyone stopping by The Fickle Manor and see for yourselfwhat a great store it is...If youre lucky you might even get to meet Manor.

I was so excited to finally find a boutique that has designers like Eva Franco and Alice and Trixie! All of the clothes that they carry are adorable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I am getting married soon and I was able to find my entire honeymoon wardrobe and the coolest jewelry all in one place. I highly recommend The Fickle Manor!!!!

Thank YOU!

by shopper71

I am a person that hates going to the mall, and have become very dependent on the boutiques that I frequent. I always have such a great experience when I go ito the Fickle Manor. I am greeted with a smile and I love seeing Manor's sweet face when I walk in the door. I never leave there feeling hasseled. It is such a laid-back shopping environment, where you can meander around and not feel like you are being followed the entire time. They have a wonderful selection of jewelry and clothes that you feel pretty and relaxed in. If I am in a hurry to find an outfit for a Friday night or a birthday gift for a friend....I know I will always leave there with something in hand that I will love. Thank you FICKLE MANOR for giving us a great place to shop at the last minute or days ahead! You are truly a great establishment in Virginia Highlands! Oh Yes...and thank you for not making me go to the mall.

Pros: No hassel

Great place to find your gal a gift!

by keithmcdamex

The Fickle Manor is a terrific place to go if you (like me) never know what to get your girlfriend. The proprietor (I think her name is JJ) is super sweet, patient and utterly helpful. The prices are affordable, the selection is strong and hip (so my girlfriend says!) and it is in a great part of town.

A great place to shop!

Pros: Selection, Friendly, Affordable

Great selection- poor service!

by kddl

I decided to stop by The Fickle Manor very last minute. I was dressed in sweats after taking my kids to school, soccer practice, etc! It was one of those days that my hair was pulled back and I had no make-up on- not looking my best. I was the first in the store and the last to be helped. I believe it was because of the way I was dressed that day- a mom on the go! However- I did by a cute dress and some accesories which I adore. My advice to the sales staff is to please not "judge a book by it's cover"!

Pros: GREAT SELECTION

Cons: not friendly

Hidden Jem!

by kfc382

I love this store, its farther down on N. Highland then most of the other shops but its worth every trip! They get new merchandise every week and I have a hard time sticking to my budget. The customer service is great, very attentive but not like they are trying to buy you. Great selection of very hip clothes ( I always get compliments!) and some perfect handmade jewelry. This is worth a look. I promise it will warrant many return trips.

Great Customer Service!

by adpom10

Today, last minute of course, I was shopping for a Valentine's Day gift for my fiance. The owner of Fickle Manor was absolutely wonderful. She provided excellent guidance and within a few minutes, I had a great outfit, with accessories, and, within my budget. Any of us, in any type of business, could benefit from following her example of customer service. It was nice to see.

Pros: Customer Service, Wide Selection
