Wow...where to even begin. We have been going here when we need a quick photo done for the kids. It's been "good" but nothing "great". Our last appointment was on 2/21/13 and it was a disaster! I called corporate the next day and relayed the experience and was told that the Regional Manager would be informed but have never received a follow-up call. I will never spend another dime there and will actively tell all friends, playgroup pals and work associates to go elsewhere!
1) They made us wait for 30+ minutes while our photographer walked around clueless. There were 3 "photographers' (i.e. young inexperienced people with a camera) and two other customers.
2) As soon as my daughter, 1 yr old, fell against the kids table - she decided it was time for us to be called back and start taking pictures.
3) My 1 yr. old bit her lip on her fall and was bleeding profusely. I had to ask for an ice pack and then no one bothered to ask if she was ok. Just a basic human courtesy.
4) The girl taking pictures just sat on the floor and I took on the role of posing the girls and trying to make them smile. As soon as we had a flash of smile she would miss it because the camera was resting on her shoulder (not in front of her eyes)! DUH!
It was exhausting to tell the girl to "get ready" and "Put the camera in front of your face" multiple times.
5) Then another associate asked if she could help and the camera girl told her to leave. It was obvious that these two associates should not be working together.
As a sales manager, I work with customers (good, bad and ugly) all day. If I was relayed these type of concerns about one of my sales reps. I would be on the phone PRONTO to the customer. But, it has been almost a week and Portrait Innovations has not called to check on my daughter (she is fine) nor follow-up regarding the experience.
Now if I can just get them to STOP sending me daily emails to buy their crap!

The people there are nice enough when you walk through the door. They also seem professional and take decent pictures. I have no problem with how they take pictures. The problem I have is after they are done taking the pictures. At best, in my experience, only half the pictures are even worth looking at. Granted, its a tough job working with children, but they should not EXPECT you to love each shot. As we narrowed down which pictures we wanted to keep the SALESTOGRAPHER became EXTREMELY agitated. I couldn't tell if he was put off because we didn't like certain pics or because we only had three poses left that we thought were worth paying for. We chose two poses in the end and he barely said a word to us when we left. They must work on commission, thats all we can figure, because they ALL act the same. Or maybe working with children all day rubs off on them. In the end a little courtesy goes a long way. My next rant is to corporate.

Like everyone else..I love great deals. When I heard the $9.95 package was back I jumped on it. I've got 2 yr old twins and we usually take them once a yr to picuture people to get their pictures taken. I scheduled their appointment for 2pm on Thursday. We got there at about 1:50 so they told us to take a seat which was fine. Come to find out there were 3 people in front of us!! By the time we actually went back it was about 2:20..(by the way, their waiting room only holds a toddlers attention for like 10min). So we go back and I inform them I have a change of outfits for them also. So, they took their pics in their 1st outfits and told me to change them and that we're going to the other room to take the rest. After changing the boys, I step out and the place is PACKED!! They ended up putting someone else in the 2nd room so we had to wait....???? Hmm..about 10min go by and they come and get us..while the photographer was bringing down the backdrop, another employee steps in the room and asks if that was our 4th backdrop. The photographer nods and I turn to look @ her, she doesn't say anything else until I turn back around and mouths something to the photographer so I wouldn't hear. He just nodded and she walked off. I told him not to even worry about this last pose. That kind of upset me. It was like she was trying to rush our session because they ended up getting busy. So, while viewing our poses, I went to pull a chair out to sit down. Their phone was ringing and an employee ran, and jumped over my chair to get to the phone! VERY RUDE!!! She didn't even apologize...and the guy showing my poses to me kinda laughed (like a nervous laugh) and goes.."wow"...I was very disappointed. I picked my poses and was told they would be ready in 30min. So, we went to get something to eat and came back in 30min. My pictures weren't ready. I had to wait another 15min. And by then, more people had come.
This was my first time at portrait innovations, and it will be my last. While they are MUCH cheaper than Picture People, thier customer service sucks. As much money as I spent at that place, I expected a little better experience. They overbook to the fullest which, I guess, stresses out the employees. My experience was not a good one, which is sad because it was my first time there.

I have visted this P.Innovations three times each time giving them the good old benefit of the doubt. Ok my appointments are always on a Saturday and I try to get the first or earliest appointment because of that. I know the holidays are approaching and like me everyone wants pictures of the little darlings.

My appoint. was at 10:20, when I arrived they informed me that it was at 10:50. So they jacked me on my time. I have a 6month old that I have to get ready for pictures - trust me - I did not confuse my time - Oh yeah I had the confirmation call as well stating 10:20. Anyway, we did not get our pictures made until 12:35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They always overbook, They always run AT LEAST one hour behind, there is always a screamiing crowd with no where to sit, the front desk people are downright rude and the photographers are basically inexperienced, overworked and under a lot of pressure to SELL, SELL, SELL the big packages.

Why do I go you ask? Well the 9.95 package is an unbelieveably great deal if you have the willpower to buy just the package! They take 60 or so pictures so there is a great variety to choose from. Like I said - I have a baby I cannot afford to spend $200.00 on 6 month pictures. Then it took almost 2 hours to have them printed......So Pictures literally took all day Saturday!

So I guess if you are willing to go through the hassle of having the pictures made it is a great deal. Truthfully, I do not think I will return to this location, it was just too traumatizing for everyone!

I have told many people about portrait innovations, because I love how you can go home with your photos the same day, however after my recent experience I will NOT be returning. I was so shocked by the attitude of the photographer helping me. I had just a few photos that for some reason didn't print the same as the others. I asked since they were going to be reprinted if I could get a different pose which I had purchased as well. When I got home I noticed I was missing a pose. I went back to get the photos I was missing and she wanted to argue and tell me I wanted to switch out my entire 9.99 package and another set which is why I was missing a pose. I made clear I only wanted 3 reprinted. Instead of giving me my missing photos, she made me go home and get my 9.99 pose to throw away and reprint all the photos in the first pose that I had + the ones I was missing. So instead of reprinting 3 she reprinted about 15 sheets, plus she through away the $9.99 package AGAIN. Plus they will never tell you how much something is, they always say it depends on the package you get, then if you don't get a certain package it cost $30 t get photos in black and white.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I had some senior pictures taken at Portrait Innovations a well as a more recent family photo. The prices are very cheap but honestly you get exactly what you pay for. You pay very little and you get very little in return. The pictures are quickly taken without much thought or preparation. Our family photos came out very dark with very little contrast. She also tried to put us on a black background when I was wearing a black shirt so I ended up looking like a floating head and arms! However, the package deal we got for the family photo was only like $15 for a bunch of sizes and prints of one picture of our choice so I guess you can't really expect anything too great for that price. You get the pictures back immediately after they are taken but unless you're just looking for a really quick half-decent photo, I would recommend going somewhere else that will actually spend some time on your pictures and actually make them look good. I wish she had at least taken the time to quickly adjust the brightness and contrast before sending the photo straight to the printer.

I have a senior in high school and we decided to have his senior pictures taken at Portrait Innovations instead of one of the more expensive places. The pictures were great!! They did a great job of helping him pose (he hates pictures) and of suggesting outfits for him to bring. The best part was that we got to customize our package so he got the pictures for his friends and I got them for family. I am very pleased and will be using them in the future.

Note: if you want christmas pictures, book your time well in advance, I forgot and couldn't get in!!

I have used this Portroit Innovations four times now and am about to return for my fifth time. It can be chaotic if you go at a busy time of year such as Christmas or on Saturday, but I try to go during the week, during the day and have never had to wait long on these occassions. The staff is great with kids and the picture quality is great for the price. The 9.95 package that they offer is great to give to family and friends. I recommend them to everyone. The biggest plus is that you get your pictures back in 20 minutes!!

This place is just OK. They run a pretty good special that is ten bucks for a good bit of photos. Of course, its only one pose but you do get to decide which one you want! The photographers are not so great, however. The place is also a bit chaotic and may be too much for your little one to handle if you are trying to get that perfect photo! There are children running around everywhere! If you like cute props, they dont have many props at all. One good thing is that you will get your photos back in about ten minutes so you dont have to wait for them. The photo quality is also pretty good too. If you buy one of the larger packages you can enhance your photos with black and white, or borders, etc..

PROS: Good value
CONS: chaotic

Portrait Innovations is located in the Avenues of West Cobb. They take a minimum of 65 pictures per session. The pictures are digital and are viewable within 5 minutes. The order process is a little daunting the first time because of so many options but once you figure it out, it is so nice to be able to customize the package. The staff is helpful for the most part and after a short wait you can walk out with the pictures.
