I really like the food here and have had some pretty good servers the many times that I've been there. The best thing at this place is, obviously, the cheesecake! I love, love, love their cheesecake. It has this buttery pecan crust that is magnificent. I have tried almost all of the varieties and cannot pick a favorite. I have 5 favorites!

My husband, mother, and myself all decided to eat here for dinner one night. When we walked into the restaurant and put our name in they told us it would be about a 30 min wait. We were happy with that estimate and decided to sit and wait. (Take note we were 3 of 5 white people TOTAL waiting in the waiting area)

After about 45 minutes went by (and we still hadn't been seated at a table) my husband went up to check on the status of a table for the 3 of us. The girl at the front told us that they didn't have any tables open and that it would be a little longer. My husband said, 'ok' and sat back down next to me. About 2 minutes later a group of 3 African American people came in and walked up to the booth. They asked how long the wait was and the girl (who was also African American) asked how many they had. He held up 3 fingers and she seated them immediately!!! We had been sitting there for almost an hour and was told minutes before they came in that there were NO tables open for three people!

My husband was FURIOUS at this point and confronted the girl at the desk. She completely ignored him like he wasn't even there! We decided to walk over to CPK and we were greeted immediately, waited 5 minutes, sat down at a table, and had the most wonderful server! (who was also African American). My husband wrote a letter to Cheesecake Bistro's corporate office telling them about our horrible experience and they NEVER replied.

Obviously they don't care about their company or their customers. We have made a vow to NEVER eat there again and to tell everyone we know about our AWFUL experience.

Pros: Location

Cons: Everything

I recently had lunch here and it was awful. The food was good, but the entire front of the house needs a makeover or at least an intense deep-cleaning. First off, they were not busy, yet several tables remained dirty for most of our time there. The wall next to our table had something splattered all over it. There is a strong smell throughout the restaurant, like old food. Maybe they need to shampoo the carpets? The smell was so bad that my boyfriend couldn't even eat his meal. We ended up taking it to go.

The service was not very good. As a 21-year veteran of the restaurant industry, I am a good tipper. I generally tip in the 20-30 percent range, depending on the quality of service. This girl got 10 percent from us. I don't know if she was new or just not good at her job, but she did not seem comfortable talking to us at all. She wasn't rude, just seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. The service was slow too. Maybe her fault? Maybe the kitchen? If she was still training, somebody should have told us and we would have been more understanding.

At least one of the servers had his pants hanging halfway down his butt. I can't believe management lets him get away with that.

The food itself was good, no complaints there. I had the BBQ shrimp linguini and my boyfriend had the chicken marsala. Both were tasty and we took them home to eat later. The price was fair too. They have lunch-sized portions at around $10 a plate.

This was my first time at this location and it will be my last. I have had good experiences at both the Buckhead and Vinings locations, so I figured the Atlantic Station location would be good too. Nope.

Cons: dirty, dirty, dirty, clueless wait staff, poor management

Being a full figured woman, and I do mean full, lots of places don't make enough room for us anymore. Seeing as it's not "politically correct" to be fat today!! However, the people made sure I was comfortable. The waitress checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed, and the food was outstanding!!! The manager that evening seemed to be very observant and did his best to accomodate EVERYONE!! Not just the "snooty" crews or the ones that looked like they have money. That means a lot today, especially in a world that caters to the well to do.
The rating of 2 1/2 stars has got to be a disgruntled customer who just didn't get their way, because my experience was WONDERFUL!! Keep up the great work and ignore the HATERS!!

Service was slow, wait was long. I don't care if it was a Sunday evening. We had mentioned a group of 10-12 would be arriving about 7PM, and they put us in a "party room" in the back that wasn't even ready for us. The salmon was ok, once I patted all the grease off of it. Not thrilled with it. Most annoying was the slacker staff, though.

With high hopes and a hungry belly me and my boo were excited about what looked like a wonderful dining place;however.

If you like waiting twenty minutes to be greeted then this is the place for you. After the ordered was taken we never saw our waitress again. We hope she is ok. The food that never came was delicious. There is far to many good dining choices in atlanta so don't lower your standards.

I've been to this restaurant a total of 4 times. Twice I've sat in and the other times I've called for pick-up orders. I've been very satisfied with their food, but the service is just okay. For the main part, everyone does their job. I don't look for the waiters and waitresses to entertain me. I've always received my food in a timely manner and everyone is respectful.

Everything could be a little better.

After waiting 45 minutes for a table for two and then being seating in a corner, sharing a booth with a college graduation party we were ready to just walk out and go eat somewhere else! Our waiter brought us two appetizers because he thought that was all we were ordering for dinner. So, after waiting forever to be seated, we waited for our waited to return so we could place our actual dinner order! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Go to the Cheesecake Factory!! They have more friendly, and they have better food and cheesecake. You also get what you pay for at the Cheesecake Factory. Our meals were small and very overpriced at the Cheesecake Bistro!

Do you want bait and swith tactics, well Copeland's is the King of it (or full of it) when it comes to their final check, you never know what you are going to get. I'll never eat there again or any of their chains. The management team should get a clue. Nice going on sneaking in the 18% tip on dining in with no coupon, etc. If you are a tourist visiting Atlanta.and want a real Cajun experience in metro Atlanta, please do yourself a favour and avoid this place and go to Papa Duex's..... You'll be thankful you did...

This place is alright. The food was okay and the fact that they are open late gives it appeal. If you go on the weekends (Friday & Saturday nights), it gets really crowded and you can expect a long (read + 1 hour) wait to sit and just as long to get your food. There are so many people and with the music blasting, it feels like you're in a night club or bar so forget about having a low-key conversation. Also, because it's so busy, it takes a toll on the visuals (cleanliness) so you may have to step over something on the floor or wait for the tables to get cleaned.

It's my own fault for going to such a popular place on a Saturday eve after a concert! Anyway, most of the staff were pretty friendly but a little haphazard in their service and the hostesses could use some customer service training. My quesadilla was actually really good but, everyone else I was with complained that the prices were kind of high for food that was good but not great. While not as good as my mom's or grandmother's, we all agreed the original, dulce, and carmel creme cheesecakes were worth the wait. The music was a nice touch though a little loud for dinner conversation. It did give the place a cool atmosphere. Not the cheesecake factory but it'll do. I think next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll go when it's a little quieter just to see if it's actually better.

In spite of the negative reviews we had found online, our party of eight decided to give Copelands in Atlantic Station a try. \We were in the area and liked the looks of the Brunch menu. From the time we entered until we left, the experience could not have been better. We arrived at noon and it looked like half the seats were already filled. The hostess was friendly and sat us as soon as they were able to re-arrange the tables for our party. Our waitress, Tameka, was prompt, courteous and knowledgable. The drinks and food arrived without delay and everything we ordered was delicious. We somehow managed to avoid ordering the incredible looking cheesecake that was on display near the entrance. Someday, we'll go back just for the cheesecake. We all would highly recommend Copelands. A great place to dine. As a former restaurant owner, I tend to be fairly critical, but found nothing to criticize at Copelands at Atlantic Station yesterday, January 24, 2009

I wouldn't recommend this place under any circumstances . I went there with my friends back in june, the food was horrible, service was bad, and what made matters worst they over charged my credit account. I used my credit card to make my payment and left my tip in cash 2 weeks later they recharged an additional $ 15.00 to my account. Please make sure when you eat out and when you are using your credit card that you don't leave any blank space at the total in your receipt, because that's exactly what they did to me. I will never go back there again.

We went to this "bistro" yesterday for lunch and it is by far the worst place we have visited in recent time. First, the hostest was very rude and it took quite sometime to seat us, although we were just 2 and the place was empty. Our waitress was more interested in talking to her fellow waitress than to us and it took forever to have our order served. The place was really noisy and half of the noise was from the staff people, talking loudly, and basically being unprofessiona. I asked her for our check as soon as I could and she even took forever to do that. Even though the food was not terrible, it was nothing great. We decided to never comeback there as it was nothing special with very bad service. If you happen to be around that area, just keep walking.

I came to this restaurant for a business lunch soon after it opened I believe it was back in 2006. The experience was not so great, it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and over an hour to receive our food. However when we did receive the food it was excellent, wonderful. I told my boyfriend how good the food was, I was even willing to withstand the long wait. That was quite some time ago. My boyfriend and I happened to be in the area last night so we decided that we would eat here since he had never had a chance to try it. When our pager started buzzing we were led to a table that was missing a chair. There was a bench on one side, but the chair for the other side was missing! When we were seated after someone hunted down a chair. We noticed that there was a platform that held a large decorative column. This platform was strewn with trash (used packets of equal, dirty used napkins, pill casings). My boyfriend and I sat there talking but after a while we realized that no one had come by to take our order or even bring us drinks. When someone finally did come he was really nice but by that time my boyfriend was looking at me like I was nuts for recommending such a place. I figured that at the food might make up for some of these shortcomings but I was dead wrong. The food was terrible. the restaurant is filled with lots of very loud, very "interesting" people. I understand that they can't choose who patronizes their restaurant but don't come here if you want a nice quiet dining experience with good food & service.

Went here for a lunch recently with my job. Our group was about 15 people. They had to put us at 2 different round tables because they didnt have any long rectangle tables. So we didnt really eat as one big group. My suggestion is they get rid of the circle tables to that when big groups come into eat, they can push 2 tables together to make one. Also the service was a lil shakey. But all in all the food was good. Nice ambience and scenary. A little expensive though. I would take a date here, not a large party.

I have gone to this Copelands location several times for both lunch and dinner. Everytime that I have gone, the service has been prompt and personable.

The dining room and restrooms are always very clean.

The menu is diverse and offers quite a few good deserts. The food always taste wonderful.

The prices are resonable for both dinner and lunch for a family of 4.

The food is great. The sweet potatoes and the fried bow tie pasta are great. Great variety. It's a great taste of New Orleans. They dim the lights when it gets dark outside. It's a little dark in there. Otherwise, it's great.

My wife and I went to this "very nice restaurant" because it had been recommended by a mutual friend. She had said that the food was terrific and the service was good. We knew we liked the locale. It came to a crashing halt at the host station. There we were greeted by pompous, disrespectful hosts who make you feel as though they really have better things to do than take care of you. When we were shown to our table, the host departed as I was asking him a question about a better table. He did not wait until we were seated, nor did he answer my question. Rather, he just sauntered off to do whatever it was that was urgently compelling his attention. Thank GOD for the wait staff. They were polite and prompt, courteous and attentive. The food was good; not fantastic, but plentiful. My experience with the hosts rather puts me off and I do question whether or not I would return.

Obviously, the restaurant has potential, but it will take corporate making some substantive changes in its personnel for this good spot to become great. If ones first impression is a lasting one, it would seem appropriate to make those front of the house changes. But the reviews I have read, tell me that this is not about to happen. Too bad! What a waste!

Pros: plenty of food, easy parking, great location

Cons: hosts, hosts, hosts

THE FOOD HERE IS GREAT!!!! VERY TASTY AND GREAT PORTIONS. THE SPINACH DIP AND CHICKEN SKEWERS FOR APPETIZERS ARE SO DELICIOUS! THE DESSERTS ARE THE BEST!!! ENTREES ARE SOO YUMMY! DRINKS ARE GREAT AS WELL! BARTENDERS AND SERVERS ARE FRIENDLY FROM MY EXPERIENCES. THE BAD PART IS TRYING TO GET A TABLE ON THE WEEKENDS, AND THEY DON'T TAKE RESERVATIONS. I ADVISE YOU TO GO EARLY. IF DINING IN AROUND 8-11 P.M., THEN I SUGGEST YOU EAT A LITTLE SNACK OR SOMETHING BEFORE YOU SIGN IN FOR A TABLE.

This is a disastrous dining experience. The Servers are incompetent. The management is incompetent. We were seated at a filthy table and when a staff member asked another staff member to clean the table, the one cleaning it had a very nasty attitude and got mad at us because he had to clean it. The manager , Sean, and the corporate offices did nothing about our experience; not even a free coupon or piece of cheesecake. Everyone is incompetent. This is an extremely gheto establishment. See for yourself. Instead of a Cheesecake Factory knockoff, you'd be better served (literally and figuratively) someplace else. Don't spend money at this joint.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a night on the town without the kids by visiting Atlantic Station. After doing a little shopping, we noticed the enourmous line outside of Copeland's and decided that it must be worth the wait, so we wanted to try it. We were WRONG! It was not worth the wait (2 hrs to be exact). To begin with, we were famished, so my husband ordered an appitizer of hot wings, which came out cold, without celery sticks or the dressing of our choice. We questioned our waitress who replied "don't shoot the messenger, we're out of bleu cheese dressing". When we asked to see her manager (Sean), He and She both mysteriously found the dressing and celery sticks. It was all downhill from there. My husband wanted the lasanga, which was no longer on the menu, and they were out of his second choice (meatloaf). Our food was okay, but by no means anything to "brag" about. We were very dissapointed with the entire experience, and when we voiced our concerns to the manager, upon leaving, he gave us a grim smirk, indiciating to us that he really could care less. My advice, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME, there are better resturants, with better food and BETTER SERVICE!

Very bad experience on a Saturday night! Upon arriving, the host said the wait would be 30 - 45 minutes. He asked for our mobile number to call us when our table was ready. We walked around outside, shopped a little. It was really cold outside, so after 45 minutes, we came inside and got drinks from the bar. Checked in with the host who said we should be called in a few minutes. 15 minutes later checked again and was told we are the next table of 4. 15 minutes later checked with the host and was told that they called, but got voicemail. Since they didn't know how to reach us (even though we were standing 10 ft. away) they gave our table away. We had no missed calls and they had the number written correctly. We asked to speak to the manager and the host at first refused!! 10 minutes later the manager seated us with no apologies.

Our waitress was nice, but don't order anything tricky. When she asked if we wanted appetizers, we ordered the Seafood Platter and explained the table will share it. This is not listed under appetizers. When she brought our drinks we made sure she put in the order and confirmed she did not. She thought we wanted it to come out with our dinners. One of our orders was wrong. A chicken dish came out and was missing the chicken.

When we finally ate, the food was good and the portions were huge! But the restaurant was freezing! I ate wearing my coat and draping my husband's coat over my legs.

After such an unpleasant experience, I will not return and do not recommend this restaurant to others.

Ok, so I have been here quite a few times and I have not been dissapointed. The food is good, sort of along the same lines as the cheesecake factory, but slightly different. Of course the cheesecake is main the reason why you come here to eat and that its in Atlantic Station. I have had to wait some times to be seated, but a crowded restaurant is a good sign!! You must order a slice of cheesecake even if you are full take it home with you. I recommend the banana foster cheescake...so creamy, it just melts in your mouth!

Went there last Friday night for dinner with my husband and toddler. The service was pretty decent, considering all the tables our server was handling. We ordered an app, salad and shared the fried seafood platter (which was huge) then ordered dessert. All in all a good dining experience, not sure if its romantic though since it was kinda loud in there. Would def go back.

I lunched at cheese cake bistro for my birthday and every thing was great. We were seated promptly and besides subtle snares from our waiter who thought that we were taking too long to decide what we wanted. I highly reccomend this little quaint bistro.

I'm a long time Atlanta resident and like the Atlanta Station area and had heard good things about this restaurant. We came in on a Friday night and were told it would be about 20minute wait so we went to the bar. Several groups came in after us but were seated before us. An hour later after several trips to the hostess, we were sat. The host that sat us, was aloof and borderline pompous as he ignored our questions and polite conversation. The WORST part of this is that the element is TERRIBLE. There were large groups of young PUNKS running around the restaurant screaming and yelling (BTW, everyone in our party was 25-30 so it's not like we're old and 'out of it'). I would NEVER go here again...bad service or poor food is one thing but they were just plain dissrespectful and of do not cater to a quality clientel.

Me and my friends visited Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro for lunch today. The wait wasn't bad but the service was HORRIBLE!!! The area manager got into an arguement with every one at our table because I wanted to change my order (the appetizer was extremely soupy). He refused to serve me anything else unless I kept my salad. Needless to say we left the place and will never return. I would not recommend anyone to this restaurant.

I was not impressed and we had to wait 90 minutes to get seated. The food was not good at all. The food needed more seasoning to me. My pasta was dry with little flavor, my daughter's food was very dry and we asked for sauce but it didn't help. My husband did not like his food at all and said he would never return to this restaurant. The food is average but I would not recommend to anyone. I really wished we would have went someone else to eat.

I've eaten in dives and some of th best spots in town. This is the restaurant straddling the midpoint. I stopped in and ate at the bar (which was uniquely iced) but the food was nothing special, the bar service was okay, and rest was just middling.

Didn't wait to long for food, drinks were a little over iced, value as okay.

I'm normally witty in these reviews, but this spot was just so...so restauranty.

I've been here twice and it's a blatant rip-off of The Cheesecake Factory. The huge menu has a few interesting items (the chicken po-boy with blue cheese fondue is very good), but most of the food is typical chain-quality. Also, do not come here for the cheesecake because it is nothing special. Finally, the building has had some AC/heat issues. The waiter claimed it was because of the lofts above the restaurant taking all the energy.

I was warned about the service at this place, but thought I would be fair and give it a try anyway. We were seated very promptly, but waited 20 minutes before someone acknowledged our existence. The restaurant wasn't even full. I order a bloody mary and that took another 20 minutes. By the time we received our food, one plate at a time, with 5 minute delays between each entree, we had been there almost an 2 hours. Too much time for lunch!! Not one apology for the slow service.

I went to Copeland's last night for dinner with my two children. We had the usual 15 minute wait for a table - no big deal. Then another 15 minute wait for our drinks after the order was taken. Then a 45 minute wait for our food (which consisted of a bowl of soup, a sandwich and a bowl of plain pasta with butter).

The waiter was embarassed and asked his manager if he could give us a free dessert. I told him that each of my kids would like a dessert, but the manager wouldn't allow it. We got one for free. Woohoo. That really made up for the fact that it took 1 1/2 hours to feed the kids dinner. PLUS it was $50 with the tip (refer above to what we ordered -- ridiculous).

We took clients who had been told it was super. Beautiful room but after that it was a waste of money. Below average service. Bad food. (When I asked where my soup was and the waiter said "they're making another batch now" I knew there was a problem.
My clam chowder was warm milk with leeks and no clams). Desserts were pretty but Sara Lee is better. We wont be going back.

Doesn't matter if you're with a date or with a family of 10, this place is great! The food is amazing and service is alot better than most resturants these days. It's in a perfect location in Atlantic Station and appeals to many different crowds. You can either dress up or down but one bad thing is the WAIT and they don't take reservations! You better call ahead or youre going to be waiting at least an hour but it's all worth it!
