They have to be the worst property management firm on the planet. Slumlord says it all. We moved into one of their homes in fall 2010 and have had nothing but problems from day one. The house had not been cleaned or painted, was damaged

Thes are teh worst people in the boro to rent from!!!! I should have known better when the list of availabe rentals was sooo long! It was my fault ot sign a lease on an apartment i had not seen but the staff claimed to had lost the key to that particular apartment and showed me one identical. It smelled awful and was filthy! There were holes in the walls. I mean holes big enough to stick my head in and had the nerve to rent the place like that! I had a leak in the bathroom that would leave puddles of water on the floor and they never fixed it! They are friendly until they get your signature on the lease and then its "welcome to the twlight zone! The rudest people I've ever encountered. DO NOT RENT FROM PERIMETER PROPERTIES YOU WILL LIVE TO REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family and I lived in one of their properties for 11 1/2 months, which was the length of our lease, not the usual twelve month lease. The service prior to renting from them was wonderful, the staff was helpful and kind. Once the lease was signed that all changed. We immediately recieved the $200 dollar pet fine. We had previously spoken to them about our pets, and made arrangements to pay the pet fees. Our air conditioning didn't work properly and was finally told after numerous calls that "sometimes if it's very hot outside it just doesn't SEEM as if the air is working". Then in winter our heat went out completly, and we were forced to heat our home with the fireplace and firewood for several weeks, due to their lack of diligence in fixing the heater. I have 5 children, and we were forced to heat our home this way, unbelieveable! We may not have been perfect renters, our rent was sometimes late, but we always paid the late fees w/o any complaints. We had planned on fixing the damages my special needs son inflicted on the property, but after such horrendous treatment, I refused. Now we have been sent a bill for over $3000.oo. If you ask me, the name of their game is get as much money as possible, then treat the renters as inhumanly as possible. If we were giving them money, they were pleasant, but if we were calling about something we needed fixed, forget it, we were subhuman. I filled out a report when we moved in, in regards to all the damages that wwere already there, not that we inflicted, and then because of my lack of insight, we were charged for all the damages we listed. Also, "Carol" the manger flat out told me that because my dog had puppies, she thought I was running a puppy mill. When in reality, I was just waiting until the pups were old enough to be given away, to do so. Also, I was never given a full 24 hours notice prior to them showing my rental unit, I would get a call around 5 pm and be told that by 9AM the next morning they planned to show my place. If I refused, or asked for a different time, I was told I would be fined with a non compliance fee for not allowing them to show the property. I only wanted more time to be able to remove my dog from the property, as he doesn't like anyone who isn't family. It was a safety issue, and I was trying to be a responsible pet owner. If I wasn't there, they had planned on coming in anyhow, so I had to miss classes some days due to their inflexibility. Due to the limited amout of absences from class allowed, I was actually kicked out of college thanks to Perimeter Properties because of having to be present when they showed the home. That was the one time I was actually able to speak to her when requested, the rest of the time she was "too busy" or "not in the office". She was never accessable when needed. The staff at this place are young, insolent college kids, who are taught by the "manager" to treat everyone with disrespect, in my opinion. Never rent from these people. It will be the worst mistake ever.

My husband and I have been living in our apartment since January 2010. They are very nice and sweet to you until the moment that you sign the lease. After that, it becomes a fight to get anything fixed and you are never treated as a human being. We moved in shortly after we were married and we are going to school on scholarship. We have never had parties at our apartment, we have kept the place clean, indeed much cleaner than the state it was in when we moved in, and we have always paid our rent. For the past year, we have actually paid our rent 6 months at a time.
We have remained good friends with the tenants that lived in the apartment before us. They came to us two months after we moved in and showed us the bill the Perimeter Properties sent them. There was a $150 charge for them having to repaint a bathroom (neither bathrooms were painted when we moved in, which was obvious by the push-pin holes clearly visible in both bathrooms) and at the bottom of the list was a $250 charge simply labeled "???" We agreed that that was ridiculous and they decided to go to court with them which lasted for months.
Us on the other hand have had our fair share of grievances with Perimeter Properties, the least of which being the multiple armed robberies and we, ourselves being burgled by another Perimeter tenant. Anything needing to be fixed takes ages! The last straw, however, was because we didn't pay our $350 non-refundable pet fee the moment we set foot in the apartment with our family dog, we incurred a $200 pet violation. It's in the lease, I can understand that. What I can't understand is that they failed to tell us about the violation and all the late charges it was accumulating for over a year! We are now facing being evicted. WE cannot get in any kind of contact with the Property Manager "because she is too busy" or "She is not in the office." The girls behind the counter have always been sarcastic and rude to us and others, but now we have become something lower than human. We were outright told that they "didn't have time for this." when we began to try to see what was wrong with our account. Here we are a week later with $500+ in charges facing eviction, no financial aid for 10 more days, and all that we can get out of them is "The charges stand'.

I have rented through several property management groups in Statesboro while I have lived here. I am a single female who is not a student here. I was needing a temporary apartment for a couple of months while waiting for my home to come open. I ended up stumbling across a woman who needed someone to sublease only for a few months and decided it would be easier that way. This was an absolutely terrible decision. In my few months living there, the toilet malfunctioned running up an $800 water bill after I called daily to try to get it fixed and they kept giving me the run around. Next was my air conditioning unit which quit working mid summer and they wouldn't come see about that. Next was a girl who had the wrong apartment busting the window and being told if I had the police report I would not be held responsible for the damages. I went and got copy of police report and went to the office, with the girl who busted window saying she did it and would pay for it, and they told her they would have to check with whoever and for her to come back. They then started harassing me about the window and saying I had to pay for it which was not what they originally said. Next was them just coming into my apartment without giving me any kind of notice or even knocking to show it to potential renters. Icing on the cake was when I had my apartment professionally cleaned and they said they couldn't give me a deposit back because I never paid it to them, and on top of that they said I never paid my first month's rent either. SO, THEY LET SOMEONE MOVE IN AN APARTMENT WITHOUT GIVING THEM ANY MONEY is what they were claiming. I fortunately had the reciepts on their company letterhead and took them back to them to which they said I made myself and the employee of theirs who signed the receipt and took my money no longer worked there so that was not enough proof that I paid. After a long battle with them back and forth, to which the Owner or Manager or whatever she calls herself would never respond to calls and was never "in the office" or was "too busy" or whatever else BS excuse I finally just gave up on getting the deposit back. A few months after I moved out I received a bill about the damn window, but suddenly that was the only balance left on my account. I refused to pay that as well and threatened legal action if they contacted me about anything again. This place is horrible, the apartment I rented was rundown anyway, and I deter everyone I hear talking about renting from them. I have heard so many horror stories about them and most of the time they are brought up in Statesboro is about how they tried to screw someone out of money. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

Rudest staff ever, specifically "Property Manager" and "Leasing Assistant". I contacted the Better Business Bureau about problems I've had with Perimeter: a lack of communication, being treated rudely by "Leasing Assistant", and absence of simple maintenance.
I've been so personally offended so many numerous times: I had no choice but to contact the BBB.

"Property Manager" called me and asked me why I contacted the BBB. After explaining my side of the story, she defended Perimeters reputation. I was expecting an an apology not a confrontation. I did not receive an apology nor do I think she listened to a word I said.

She then told me that they have never received complaints... well, perhaps they haven't read the terrible online reviews & seen their low rating (typically less than 2 out of 5 stars). Keep lying to yourselves Perimeter.

After this, I am absolutely nervous and worried about my lease with Perimeter. Save yourself the trouble and don't even bother with them.

DO NOT RENT! RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. Our house and yard were NOT cleaned before we moved into the house, even though we called multiple times and they were very snippity saying "It will be done." But it was never fixed. They are super nice when you look at houses, but the minute you sign a lease they are complete bitches and completely unprofessional. A tree fell on our house and they left us without power for five days, when it could have been fixed in two. Our water heater also busted and leaked all through the bathroom and hallway, it took them over three weeks, several maintainence requests, and multiple phonecalls to get them to work on it. Unless you live in the most expensive, most desired rental properties, they take FOREVER to fix things. Again, DO NOT RENT! Don't let them fool you!

BEWARE!!! RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF AND SHODDY RENTALS UNITS AHEAD!!! I have lived in my current apartment for over 4 years. Less than a year ago, my unit was purchased by Perimeter Properties, and it has been the absolute worst renting experience that my husband and I have ever had to endure. They do not send maintenance personnel to your unit in a timely fashion, they are not flexible when it comes to showing your unit to potential renters, and the manager "Carol" is the epitome of a rude and careless superintendent over these units. I manage a multi million dollar producing business locally, and if one of my managers spoke to people and tried to bully our clients/customers the way that she does, I would fire them and never think twice about it. When I asked them why I was only getting a 32 hour notice that they would be showing my home to others along with letting them know that I have a pitt bull and wouldn't be available at that certain time to take the dog from the home, I was instructed to, "buy a crate, they don't cost that much!" I kept my cool, and explained that I would be happy to let ANYONE come into my home, as long as it coincided with my work schedule so that I could remove the dog and my firearms from the home because of safety purposes. I was again talked down to, scorned, and treated like something less than human. Just the other day, when I was speaking with Carol about the recent string of armed robberies and home invasions in her rental properties she instructed me that, "Everywhere has problems, times are hard, you're not going to be able to get away from it!" Please, save your condecending tone and unprofessional attitude for the next poor sapp that walks through the door. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS OR IT'S UNITS TO ANY DECENT PERSON!!!!! This just in! It has been 24 hours since I posted my original review of this business and the owner and the manager came to my apartment and confronted me about posting this review online. I was bullied, belittled, and threatened with "libel, slander, and terroristic threats." So, it goes to show that if you rent from these characters and speak out about their abuse and neglect and inability to provide quality customer service, they might show up at your door to point fingers in your face and accuse you of criminal allegations just because you excercise your right to review their business unfavorably. I was also threatened to have my business' name tarnished by the manager stating, "How would you feel if I posted a bad review of (Place name of my business here) online for everyone to see?" After asking if she had ever had an unpleasant experience with my business she retaliated with, "I don't go there." What does that tell you? These are unreasonable and dramatic people who WILL NOT treat you with any respect regardless of how good of a tenant you are. Again, I tell you, BEWARE!!!

This place is horrible. Our apartments were bought from them in the middle of our lease and it was the worst experience ever. It took them 7 months to fix a leak in my bathroom. The toilets upstairs were leaking into my bathrooms and I had mold growing on my ceilings and sever water damage, and they wouldn't come out to fix it. I had to call the city marshal to have it fixed. Then the manager of the rental company called me and asked (rudely) why I called the city marshal. I will NEVER rent from them again, it takes months to get anything done.
