This place has great food. I have ordered the shrimp and grits with creole gravy a couply times and it's always tasty. My husband always orders a steak and it is cooked to perfection. My sister orders the fish and I must say, next time I go, I'm going to get the fish. It is awesome. The service is inconsistent, but never terrible. I would definitely go back.

Everything about this place is great! Very friendly service, good atmosphere and yes.... the food is delicious! Since I am not very good with seafood, my favorite dish is wood grilled chicken and yams; it's finger-licking!

Copelands of New Orleans gives us a little taste of New Orleans here in GA. The food it spicy and it does resemble cajun food. The atmosphere in the place is good and the bar is a cool place to hang out while your waiting for a table...and you will have to wait.

I'm new to Georgia and have tried almost every restaurant in Kennesaw since moving here. I've been to Copeland's of New Orleans on Barrett Parkway three times and they have been outstanding each visit.

I've had lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch and have been so pleased every time. We're greeted warmly upon our arrival, seated promptly and assisted by a waitstaff that knows the menu (how refreshing!). Not only is the staff great to the adults but they treat my 4 year old like a princess....every time!

The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone. I recommend the Sunday Brunch since there are various choices of Eggs Benedict and the cheesy grits are a treat. I described the biscuits to my best friend as what it must be like to bite into a cloud. They literally melt in your mouth and they're served with lunch and dinner as well. For lunch the wood grilled chicken breast with mashed sweet potatoes was a dream.

The atmosphere is lively but too loud . You can actually have a conversation over your meal on a Friday night.

This place is the complete dining package...try it out!

Pros: Excellent service, knowledgeable waitstaff, terrific food

8 of us in all went on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated promptly. The waitress was fabulous getting our drink order and bringing a little something special per her Mother's request for our 3 year old Granddaughter to eat while we decided on our food picks. The food was wonderful, hot, beautifully prepared and came to us quickly. Dessets are out of this world. We ordered 3 to share and had leftovers, they were enormous. The whole experience was a total enjoyment. Large portions and fairly priced. Highly recommended. We are planning on traveling to the Atlanta area again this summer and this is on our must do list.

Pros: Quality, enjoyable experience

Cons: Nothing

Copeland's isn't my favorite restaurant but it's not my least favorite, either; it falls somewhere in the middle. They offer cajun-inspired dishes and the specials are usually pretty good. I love their ranch dressing. It's definitely a nice change from the American restaurants lining Barrett Pkwy.

Pros: Good Food, Nice Service, Different Cuisine

Cons: None

The food is pretty good for the price point, but not exceptional. Service is good. The atmosphere is friendly, a bit loud though. This is a great place to go with a group of business colleagues for drinks and dinner, but I wouldn't go for an evening out with my husband.

Fast dine-in service for a busy lunch crowd. I've had both tuna dinner and the sesame seared tuna lunch. Incredible value and really tasty! I'd eat this every day of the week, if I could! The biscuit that came with it was also quite yummy. If you don't have the time to sit/dine, try calling ahead so it's ready for pick up.

Pros: lots of parking, kid friendly menu, reasonable prices

Cons: Generic cajun food - who cares, it's tasty food!

As a former Louisiana native I have to say that by no means is copelands good creol or cajun food i would never recommend eating there to anybody looking to try louisiana cuisine.

What a great place. The new dinner for two promotion leaves you feeling like you have been fed like royalty. There is so much food, and it is so good. The Spinahc and Artichoke dip is the best, and I don't like spinach or artichoke!!
I recommend the chicken etoufee and Mikes Fudge cake. Both are not to be missed.

Customer service could be better. Have had good wait staff and have had bad. They could be more attentive and more friendly. Sometimes they look put out if I order my meal or ask for more water.

PROS: The dinner for two deal
CONS: customer service
