I have been going to the clinic based on necessity and convenience a few times and since Dr. Salinas has joined their facility, I really must say that he is the best doctor that I have been to, hands down! He was very professional and was able to determine what my condition was and prescribed me the medication that was needed and my condition cleared up immediately. Dr. Salinas was very warm hearted and made me feel like he was concerned.??

I was tired of going from one dr to another based on the insurance I had. I went in very reluctantly based on my experience with drs. and specially because it was a clinic and not a regular doctor's office. a friend recommended dr. Walker but because she only sees patients on Thursdays I couldn't see her. Dr Salinas was very friendly and warm and explained everything in detail, I could even say he cared for my well being. I just found my primary care physician.??

While not everyone I know is familiar with the term "doc-in-a-box," it's one my family has used, well, as far back as I can remember. There was the time I broke my arm in the Rich's dressing room (that's a whole other story) and we went to the one that used to be in the strip shopping center with Mellow and Sherlock's Wine at Brookhaven. When my dad got bitten by a Brown Recluse spider while cleaning the gutters and we went to the same spot. When . . . you get the idea. We are all fans of the quick-and-easy alternative to the big ER's. Today, I needed to avail myself of medical treatment due to a nasty faceplant on slippery stairs after a succesful sales call (but that's another story, too). While the very nice stylist from the salon I'd just pitched ad space to helped me up from the wet parking lot and picked up my belongings, and my phone was thankfully scratched but basically unharmed, my shin was not. The cut looked serious and deep enough to possibly warrant stitches and the enormous goose egg beneath it was even uglier and more worrisome. Fast forward to my visit to Piedmont Minor Emergency (the 5 Stars are not only for the service I've gotten on today's visit as well as for my trip last summer to their travel clinic prior to my trip to Brazil, for all my shots, but the fact that this is the most conveniently located doc-in-the-box I know of). The staff was friendly, helpful, and I got seen quickly. I was self-pay and the cost for an office visit, $100 upfront, was clearly posted. Uninsured, this is much better than some situations I've encountered. The nurse was efficient but friendly and Dr. John Salinas saw me promptly. Honestly? He was in the patient room faster than my busy OB-GYN or GP usually are (I love them, too, but . . . ). He was super nice, examined my leg, told me that I had a choice- yes, it was deep enough of a cut that I needed either stitches (which would cause "track" kind of scars given the way the cut is) or I could go with the newer, adhesive-tape style version that tapes the cut together as close as possible for seven days. I told him I wanted whichever would be better health-wise and risk-of-infection wise, and didn't care about the scar since I'd have one either way. He went with the bandages since they were less expensive and he knew I was self-pay. He did an x-ray to make sure there wasn't a fracture and explained it would take awhile for the melanoma to go down completely. I was tape-stitched, Neosporined and bandaged up in about an hour from start-to-finish, including wait time and x-rays. Total bill? $95 on top of the $100, so $195. Really, not bad. I give the people and the care two thumbs up. - From Carrie

I had an outstanding experience with Piedmont Minor Emergency Clinic. Today I was treated by Dr. Anthony Mills. I have suffered from Gout for about 15 years. The attacks while not frequent do occur every 12 months or so and are very painful. I used the clinic because it's fast and easy and I can get a hold of the neccessary medication to alleviate the pain quickly. For 15 years whenever an attack would happen I'd see a doctor who'd tell me that a range of things could trigger an attack and that I needed to lose weight. Fair enough but I have lost 45 lbs. in the last 6 months making the mystery behind this attack all the more perplexing. In addition doctors had always told me that taking indomethacin for a 5 to 10 day period was the best way to treat the attack as opposed to colchicine. What a difference a doctor makes! Dr. Mills gave me more information on this condition than all of the doctors I have seen for last 15 years put together! He informed me that the best way (and fastest and most effective) was to take the both the indomethacin and colchicince together at the same time and while the indomethacin will work to take away the swelling and inflamation the colchicine would work to reduce my uric acid levels (the cause of the gout in the first place). In addition he told me the I would not need to take the meds over a preiod of days but rather the solution of taking the two together would cure the attack in just 1 day after 1 or 2 doses leaving the rest of my meds for future attacks so I don't need to go to the doctor every time this happens which obviously makes a huge difference. Lastly he informed on what will trigger attacks. It wasn't so much my weight or what I was eating or drinking but rather a combination of things all at once out of my routine that "shocks" my system resulting in an attack. Kudos and thank you to Dr. Mills for not only better treating my condition but also taking the extra time to inform me on why it happens how to better prevent it from happening in the future explaing to me the nature of the condition and more than anything else saving me future money and time by reducing doctor visits and prescription costs in treating it. I'll be forever thankful Rick D

I went in to have a cut looked at and get a tetnus shot. I recieved a bill 8 months later for $200 listing "surgery" when nothing was done at all in that nature. They also charged me $10 for gauze, $20 for antiseptic, $200 for an office visit, etc . etc. On top of it all, the service was mediocre, the office is a dump, and the wait was excessive seeing as though there was only 1 other person in the waiting room. My daughter and I are from out of town. When she became sick during our visit I wasn't sure where to take her. I thought of going to the nearest ER but I knew that would take forever. I asked the receptionist at our hotel where we should go and they suggested this place. When we got there we were greeted by a very nice receptionist and the nurse who took my daughters vitals was very kind also. The doctor on staff was very attentive to her needs and had a wonderful bedside manner. Overall I was VERY pleased with our visit. I would suggest this clinic to anyone.

My father was visiting and fell ill during his stay. He has heart issues and other ailments due to being older. He was having trouble breathing. It was recommended to me to take him to this clinic. It was Saturday evening at 6:00. We checked in and he was seen within 20 minutes upon arrival. The nurse took his vitals and calmed his anxiety. He was very anxious due to the breathing problems. After the physicians exam and x-rays he was diagnosed with pnuemonia. He was treated with some oxygen and given a prescription. I can't tell you how pleased I was that someone like the nurse on staff was there and took such great care of my father. So thank you. I would recommend anyone to Piedmont Minor Emergency Care

My daughter and I visited this clinic for a travel consultation to see what vaccinations we needed for our trip and to get the ones we needed. I received 3 vaccinations and was charged $490.00 for myself and $435.00 for my daughter who received 2 shots. The so-called consultation from an obviously clueless and incompetent doctor cost $125.00. The cost of a nurse to give the shots was $30.00. The clinic was shabby and the entire experience made me furious.

I had a test done in this facility a year ago and my insurance company was asking for information relating that test. I went three times to the clinic and also left many messages to the manager Ms Ruff. She did not have the courtesy of calling back to discuss what I need it. BAD BAD BAD SERVICE. There are hundreds of clinics around town. Please go somewhere else.

I went three times to the clinic and also left many messages to the manager Ms Ruff. She did not have the courtesy of calling back to discuss what I need it. BAD BAD BAD SERVICE. There are hundreds of clinics around town. Please go somewhere else.

Cons: Bad service

.

Went there for what I knew was an ear infection in July. Doctor maintained to the contrary: You only have wax in your ears! Days later, many visits to an ENT specialist who has amazed at the misdiagnosis, especially since I had prefaced my visit with what I thought I had. Since then, billing nightmares, incompetent staff, bitchy administrative assistants who can't even copy a simple file. I'll be filing with the Georgia Medial Review board, as well as with the local insurance commissioner.

STAY AWAY!!!!

Pros: Only place in Buckhead for emergency medicine

Cons: Totally unprofessional staff! Billing Fraud & Incompetence

This place needs to be shut down!!! Please file a complaint the with the GA Medical Board before someone is seriously injured or (assuming this has not already happened!). This is the most careless group of doctors and staff I have ever witnessed - this place needs to be closed!

Where should I start? 1) After waiting for 2 hours they gave me the wrong injection; I recieved the typhoind vacine instead of a tetanus shot 2) I realized during check out that I received the wrong injection 3) I had to wait another 45 minutes to get the shot I specifaclly came in to recieve. 3) At check out, they tried to charge me $100 for the typhoid shot that I recieved becasue of their mistake. 4) The receptionist, office manager and the doctor all refused to remove the charge and not once did they even apologize or admit to making a mistake.

Pros: Very caring Staff

I have been going to the clinic based on necessity and convenience a few times and since Dr. Salinas has joined their facility, I really must say that he is the best doctor that I have been to, hands down! He was very professional and was able to determine what my condition was and prescribed me the medication that was needed and my condition cleared up immediately. Dr. Salinas was very warm hearted and made me feel like he was concerned. The other times I was there before with the same symptoms, I was mis-diagnosed and given the wrong medication by Dr. Roth and Dr. Walker. My only other complaint is that the clinic itself is not very hygenic and I would suggest that they invest in retaining an interior decorator so that you feel that you are not in the hood and create some ambiance.

Pros: One Of The Best Doctor's Of This Clinic

Cons: Dr. Roth, Dr. Walker and Poor Bedside Manner

I just found my primary care physician.

I suppose it must be all about the doctor you happen to see. Apparently doctor roth is on the rude side, but I happened to see Dr. Salinas, who could not have been more friendly or personable. I did have to wait about an hour, as they were unusually crowded. The staff was friendly and competent. Dr. Salinas came in within 10 minutes after I was taken to my room. He checked me out and I was given a prescription and was out of the clinic within another 10 minutes.

I have actually been to the clinic several times over the years. I usually have been treated pretty well and it definitely seems like the secret is in getting the right doctor. I wish Dr. Salinas was there full time but I suppose you have to take your chances.
