we have eaten at Wang ll many times and have not had a bad meal EVER!

The waitstaff is friendly and helpful and they have recently started serving those huge Chinese soup bowls. Try the spicy beef soup.

Wang is the only good Chinese restaurant with 50 miles of Hilton Head from where we come.

The owners and staff came from Flushing NY (originally China) and their emporium compares favorably with NY or LA eateries.

The BEST place I've found for Chinese food in Savannah! Lots of veg options. Check out their authentic Chinese menu (you have to ask for it). Great veggie steamed dumplings and the General Tso's Tofu is to die for! Friendly and helpful staff.

Having eaten at Wangs and not gotten sick I would like to point out some interestiing points in the review concerning giardia.
Having grown up in the pacific Northwest I am familiar with Giardia and its symptoms. However there are some points to make about contraction, such as-
Giardia is often called the "swimming pool" disease because it can be passed between people in water , especially fecal contaminated water. Rural and mountainous areas are more prone. You can carry Giardia and not be affected , but can still transmit the parasite. Which usually clears up in several weeks.
-The symptoms of giardiasis do not appear in those infected for between 7 and 14 days. ( making their 2 day eating expeirence unlikely to say the least, chances are much better they picked it up swimming 1-2 weeks before) It is also difficult to culture (grow and identify) in the lab. That
means many people may be infected with Giardia before the source is known.
Lastly- Anal sex without a condom increases your risk of contracting the parasite since it thrives in fecal matter, as well as unclean water, and soil.

My husband and I ate at Wangs ll (on waters avenue in savannah) in May this year and 2 days later we both became very sick. This included nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue. I became so ill that I got to the point of passing out and not being able to stand on my own. My husband took me to the emergency room and I was diagnosed with two different types of bacteria and a PARASITE!!!! It's called GIARDIA!!! I couldn't believe it! This parasite lives in dirty water and undercooked foods. I am 100% sure this came from Wangs ll. I have reported this to the health department and hopefully they are looking into it. I am writing this almost 4 weeks later and I am still sick. Sure they are friendly but are they clean? My husband and I never eat at chinese restaurants because we are paranoid about their cleanliness, but we took a chance on Wangs ll, and I will never ever ever eat there or any other chinese restaurant again. I have pretty much ruled out most restaurants after this! I missed several days of work, I lost 10 pounds and after taking antibiotics I could still have this thing inside me. JUST STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I gave them one star because they make you pick something.)

The last time I went here, it was with a group of 12 (we called ahead) and we each ordered something different and sat around a round table in the back and enjoyed a Chinese culinary feast!! The service was friendly and accomodating ( there were some people with dietary restrictions in our group) and everyone was extremely satisfied at the end.
We are talking of doing it again soon.

Wang's II is a local staple that does not need any introduction to Savannahians. I have always liked the place but until I tasted their lobster that I did not know how good they actually were. The friendly waiter told me to try the lobster because "the Chinese know how to do lobster" so I ordered one and it was heavenly.
