This is the second time that I've been and I get more and more disappointed every time I go. I ended up going with some family in town but could've just saved the money.

This tour was interesting and informative. Great look at CNN around the world and you really do get to look behind the scenes. My husband and I enjoyed getting to see the news be filmed and broadcast live while we watched from above.

Pros: informative

Cons: no photography on the tour

The famous CNN Center offers insightful tours of its facility and newsrooms, even allowing you to take part in studio audiences of some shows. The tour is a great idea for student groups or even families. The tour price is reasonable, and it?s certainly easy to find the CNN building!

For $12, this is not worth it, I might pay a couple of dollars at most. The tour takes about 50 min to an hour. About two thirds of the time is spent standing around waiting. Of the remaining third, half is spent watching videos that don't really give information that the average person doesn't already know. In fact, most videos just say how great CNN is. The rest of the tour consists of looking at the newsroom from a location that is hidden. This was the only part of the tour that was enjoyable, but NOT worth the price paid. There is not really anything in this tour that you cannot see at your local news station; and they would probably give you a tour for free. I would recommend walking into the building to see the inside (which is free), but skip the tour.

PROS: Tour guide was friendly
CONS: not worth the money, most of the tour was spent standing around.

CNN building is one of the best buildings and the tour is remarkable and worth spending $10. you can get the feel of the environment where the news is read all about the world and you might at times can catch a live telecast going and the best i loved was when I volunteered to get the feel of the weather maps...IT is always better to book the tour otherwise it gets full.

I'm personally impressed with this CNN studio tour in Atlanta downtown. The first time I was there with my husband and we really enjoyed it. Not a long queue, especially on a weekday. It's quite detailed, brought us to see different parts of the studio, the news room too. After that, we have been bringing family members and friends who came to visit. They enjoyed that tour too. Really worth the money! Very educational too!

I was very happy with the CNN tour. Informative and interesting. The tour offers you a behind the scenes look at the operations of CNN. A bit expensive but very different than a typical museum/tour. You will come away from the tour learning more about how they produce the show and the chance to participate in the CNN Live show afterwards. A great time.

We went here with school and it is a neat place to find out how the news is made. You get to see a control room (not a real one but something that looks like one) and learn how the news show is put together. You get to see the real studios, too. And learn about the teleprompter they use to read the news. And find out about the blue screen background. It takes about an hour. And then we got to eat in the cafeteria there, too.

If you are going to take this tour, be sure to make reservations because tours fill up and without reservations you could be shut out. It costs $10 per person to tour now, so it's a bit overpriced. But its a great way to see behind the scenes and you may even be able to see a live broadcast in action. There is a lot of walking, so wear your walking shoes! I liked when they show you how to do newsreading from a prompter and how weather maps are shown on the news, and they let volunteers try it for themselves. You will also see how people gather news from various news sources and get it ready for the teleprompters. It's actually really interesting, and I'd highly recommend it for any aspiring anchormen/anchorwomen!!!

This tour would be good for children, and might be worth 50 minutes of an adult's time if it were free, but $10 is a huge waste of money. The one interesting thing is being able to stand behing a glass looking down at the newsroom,

The CNN studio tour is an excellent opportunity for those wanting to pursue a career in the media. Although this tour does not take you inside the news rooms, you still have a wonderful opportunity to see what's at CNN and how everything works.
