Taqueria Del Sol

Okay, so, whiners need not get in line here. Yes the line is long, no they don't do takeout. No they don't do dessert. Or coffee. They do great Mexican fusion. They do it EXTREMELY well. It is so good that yes you have to wait. Suck it up. Get a margarita to drink in line. Take a deep breath. Order everything on the menu. You won't be disappointed.

I don't have a review for the Howell Mill location but let me tell you how HORRIBLE, the one in Decatur is. The line is generally long, so I've tried on occassion to get food to go. Not a good idea here. They ARE RUDE individuals here. They usually say you can only get three items and I cannot wait o you until the person before you has their food. So, right I cannot take your order. Well They can shove the order because I will not be coming back. RUDE / RUDE. It's my money and if you don't want it, fine. Taqueria Del Sol in Decatur - SUCKS!

I love this place! Fun experience. Don't be intimidated by the long line outside the restaurant doors -- it goes quick.

Their fish taco is actually pretty good. You can afford to get several of these little soft tacos. When you order a soda for a drink, they give you a cup with no refills. So drink slow. These have alternative drinks, including a selection of beers.

I love this restaurant - it's casual, different, the food is consistently yummy and reasonably priced. You stand in line (sometimes for quite a while), order your food, find a table, eat and leave. It's quite a little cycle. There's no lingering here! However, if you know that going it, that's part of the charm! My favorites are the fish taco, the fried chicken taco, the corn chowder and the queso dip. SOOOOO good!
