4 Stars: LOTS OF ATTENTION (by PAMELA S.)

The doctor who saw my cat , twiggs, was so gentle when he gave her shots, she did not even know it was happening. He explaines everything to me from the get-go. After it was over he even gave us samples of some feline products to take home. A real nice place.

PROS: gentle
CONS: long way from gainesville

5 Stars: Comfortable, Caring & Confident (by wendy W.)

Dr, Stump is the best she has treated my cat like he was her own, she is extremely gentle and concientous to you and your pet, go the extra mile with top of the line service and the best doctors around. my cat has been going there since he was a kitten. The office is a remodeled home and my cat feels so comfortable there he gets out and explores the fireplace and bookshelves. This is absolutely the best place for declawing as they surgically remove the claws which is less likely to cause future problems and is less painful. Also they are very reasonable and never throw in hidden costs.

1 Stars: They love cats, but love your money more (by RubberBaby B.)

Recently my cat became anemic and obviously did not feel well. I took her to the Cat Doctor, who recommended the $800-900 full bloodwork.

Now, she had a flea infestation, and it was pretty clear that was the cause of the problem. Unfortunately, I fell for the $900 bloodwork.

Guess what? A thousand dollars of tests, and the vet could not tell me anything at all. She did say that it *MIGHT* be because my cat has worms, so I took her in and paid another $150 for worm shots and pills.

Then, I took her to an emergency clinic, who gave her a shot of some fluids and a flea-killing capsule. She bounced right back, and after a couple days recovery time, is 100% fine again.

So, at the Cat Doctor, I blew around $1200 and got no value at all. Completely wasted my money. At the emergency clinic, I paid $340, but got X-rays and a healthy cat.

Ironically, the Cat Doctor actually charges more for a simple office visit ($100) than the emergency clinic charged for an emergency room visit ($80).

Bottom line? I would go to a different vet, and take your cat to a specialist clinic if the vet cannot help.
