Magic Wok

I stopped by Magic Wok on the way home one day, ordered at the counter, and decided to just wait there for about ten minutes. The owner's son, who was probably six years old would NOT leave me alone. He kept asking questions, throwing his toys around (one hit me) and was seriously annoying. Children are children, I get that, but not at your place of business...and I don't really like kids, so this was bad for me. Not to mention that the owner left her son in the dining room with me the whole time. Leaving a six year old with a stranger is a wonderful idea...

But, to the food. Its awful. Dry rice that had probably been in a warmer all day. Beef that was a white-ish gray color and smelled horrible (the taste was even worse) and crab rangoon, which tasted frozen at best. I thought it may have been a horrible experience just for my visit, but then I found reviews like all of these on this site and I changed my mind. Never again will I eat there.

ate there w/ family during a visit in 3/22/ 2009. When I informed the cashier that the tofu was bad he showed me the container that the tofu was in. It had an expiration date that was 3/15. Assuming he would realize the tofu was old and reimburse me for the 3 dishes I purchased - was I wrong. He and the owner, a woman refused. I called the police. When the police officer arrived he said I was his 4th call since (10/08) he's been on the police force in that area . Even w/ the police there she refused to reimburse me for the 3 dishes. My lost $29.00

Possibly the worst service I have ever had in my life. Wife and I ordered Hun-an Beef and Thai Red Curry for delivery. The dishes we received were IDENTICAL. Called the restaurant back thinking we got somebody else' order. Was rudely informed that we got what we ordered; Hun-an CHICKEN and Chicken curry. Fine, perhaps there was a mix-up when we ordered. Thing is, whatever meat they put in the dish smelled like fish, tasted like fish, and looked like imitation crab meat. If that was chicken, it was not like any chicken I had ever seen. I went back to their location to show this lady that we were delivered the wrong food. In any case, Thai Red curry and Hun-an chicken should look and taste different, right? Lady called me a liar and YELLED at me to get out of her restaurant. I told her all I wanted was my money back, they could take their food back. She absolutely refused. At that point I gave up, left the food on the counter and went home. I hope they appreciate the $22 donation I made to their bad food fund, as I will never, ever be back.

Not sure what the other reviewer was smoking but this place has great food. All of the food is cooked fresh to order and delivered even in the early morning hours, Its always the small family run joints that have the best food. This place is a single family operation. They know their customers by names and they have some of the best Chinese food around.

This is probably the worst Chinese restaurant ever. I first came across this place when they had placed their take out menu on our door. A friend of mine came over and noticed the menu and had warn me to never eat here. Assuming we don't share the same taste when it comes to Asian cuisines, I thought I would still give this place a shot. My husband and I had ordered some kind of stir fry for pick up delivery. I took a few bites out of my food and noticed the pork taste a bit off and the veggies weren't fully cooked. I was sick to my stomach and decided to quit eating. About 30 minutes later I threw up all that "great" food. Next time, I'll listen when someone warns me to stay away.
