I have lived in Canton for 44 years and R & M is the best sandwich shop I've eaten at and working in Atlanta for years, I've eaten at a lot of different places...whether you want cold or hot freshly made hoagies or homemade soup or chili or homemade desserts. My all-time favorite sandwich is the hot steak & cheese hoagie...the many layers of thinly sliced steak and white cheese and onions cooked over an open grill with lettuce on a long hoagie bun are out of this world...you can add mushrooms too! My favorite memories are when I was at Cherokee High School and we had senior privileges which allowed us to leave campus for lunch...we'all would go to "the hoagie shop" (R & M). I hope it is around for a long time and I love the old building and atmosphere inside.

We have only been in the Canton area 3 years and this is by far the best sandwich lunch spot we have even gone to. It is always busy so you know things are always fresh. R & M has the basic hoagies and some original recipes too that are super. They will make it any way you want it. I cannot say enough about this place.
Breakfast are cooked to order. Rather limited menu for breakfast but always hot (especially the grits). Yes it is in an older building but its clean.

Everyone I have every known in Canton had eaten at this sandwich shop- when you say hoagie- you think DeLuca's- there is no better sandwich shop anywhere. I have not lived in Canton over 15 years, and I still crave their roastbeef hoagie- and make it a point to stop in when ever in town-

This place has been around forever. They have great historical photos and documents from around Canton on the walls. The staff acts like they know you and the sandwiches are more like homemade than impersonal diner. It looks old because it is - but you have got to give it a try.
PROS: Good food, great staff
CONS: Limited menu, older dining area
