4 Stars: Good Cakes - Expensive (by Brittany W.)

I got a cake from them a few weeks ago. The cake was good. The staff was helpful. The service was fast. I did think that the cake was a little too expensive.

3 Stars: Disappointed (by BSuber)

From the Decatur location:
I bought 2 cakes this past weekend for a Happy 40 & 50 Birthday party and really wanted extraordinary cakes for such an event.
When guests saw the Piece of Cake box, they were excited...but when they tasted; their excitement deflated, especially with the chocolate.
I was also unhappy that they refused to pipe 40 and 50 on each. I get it, there "above" that; but for $80+ I expected to be accomadated.
I really wanted the strawberry cake for my birthday, but I think I may hint for a Publix cake instead....at least their acommadating & consistent.

3 Stars: Cake is good, everything else blows! (by Tina K.)

Rude people answering the phone. Also, didn't answer my email inquiry (had to call). Even with the the high price, they do not decorate the cakes or write anything on them (which is strange because most people order birthday or special occasion cakes and would like something written on them...) The cake is good but I find that a lot of them taste the same. A bit overpriced, only returned for another visit out of convenience. Will not be going back after another rude encounter.

5 Stars: Best Cakes in Atlanta! (by ATLshoegal)

Piece of Cake is the best place to get cakes in Atlanta for any occassion. The red velvet and white chocolate are my favorites. They have a huge selection of flavors to choose from. It is also conveniently located in Buckhead and Roswell. I recommend Piece of Cake to everyone.

3 Stars: OVERSWEET/OVERPRICED, and did I mention? OVERFREAKINSWEET?? (by buckheadman)

This was my first time here as a recommendation from a friend.
It's right in the heart of Buckhead easy to get to location and easy to find parking.
But to be honest, even though this place probably uses high quality ingredients and has great customer service, ultimately, it's about how the cake tastes, and I can't give it 5 or even 4 stars. The cake is the sweetest thing I've ever eaten, and cakes aren't supposed to be overly sweet. Try going to like a German bakery or Asian bakery where the cakes are lighter and a lot less sweeter than your typical American cake which is loaded with heaps of sugar.
This review comes down to the cake and taste, and as a result, I'll no longer be going back to this place. Maybe if it were a little cheaper but probably not because the sweetness is overbearing.
There are many other places. I can't really recommend this place to anyone.

5 Stars: Thank you for your Piece of Cake. (by klynn33)

Most of us born before 1980 may have fond memories of our grandmothers and their made from scratch cakes. Every time I bite into a Piece of Cake delectable---NOSTALGIC. Almost every year for almost ten years I would by either a carrot cake or a red velvet cake and it's like tasting it for the first time with each bite. Thank you Piece of Cake for the memories and your existence. My condolences to those of you that didn't have a grandmother that baked a cake from scratch or do not have a Piece of Cake locally.

5 Stars: Spectacular (by Ramila N.)

The best cakes i have ever tasted, hands down. The cakes taste like homemade cakes and the icing is d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!. The place is very clean and they make a variety of bakery goods! Look nowhere else for a birthday cake.

5 Stars: Piece Of Cake (by maria d.)

My husband ordered a big cake for my birthday last year at Piece Of Cake and it was so delicious. I usually dont like cakes and icings but their icings are incdible. they are so soft and the taste are not too sweet. I love this place. Since then, We always go to this store to get a cake whether I am just craving or an occassion. I highly recommend Piece Of Cake place to everyone.

5 Stars: Bakery (by Hina B.)

This is one of the best bakeries in the Atlanta area. Their cakes are really moist, and have the most unbelievable cream cheese icing. I would highly recommend getting a cake for a special occasion from here. They don't do wedding cakes, but you can get several different cakes for a party. Their white choclate cake with cream cheese icing and their choclate chip cakes are the best!

4 Stars: unbelievably good cakes (by Ginny D.)

Piece of Cake has wonderfully rich, delicious cakes. I'd highly recommend the Peanut Butter layer cake, the Caramel layer cake and the Red Velvet layer cake. Oh, and the White Chocolate layer cake. We've never received a bad cake.

They do not have sugar free or fat free cakes. These cakes are meant to be savored (and the price reflects it).

The 9 three layer cake will feed approx 18 people and the 10 x 14 sheet cake will feed 20-25.

PROS: these are rich, delicious bakery cakes
CONS: expensive

4 Stars: The Cake Makes it Worth it (by quintnnate)

I have to say the cake is soooo worth it. I have ordered from A Piece of Cake numerous times and everything is exactly the same....the very best cakes but the rudest service as well. I don't understand why everyone is so mean in there, the smell is heavenly and the cakes taste awesome, maybe they aren't allowed to eat them. But, don't let that keep you away from here, I can't even tell you which one is my favorite because they are all great. Strawberry is probably pretty high on my list. Why are you still reading? You should be ordering a cake by now!

4 Stars: Don't walk - run! (by atl_cyndi)

I found this spot about 3 years ago and have been going ever since. The staff is generally friendly but the cake products speak for themselves. It's the best cake I've ever eaten (next to G'ma's of course). I would recommend the white chocolate cake...once you start, you won't want to stop eating it.

5 Stars: A Dream (by candyskye)

I love this place! I highly recommend the Orange Dream Cake although the Strawberry cake is also a favorite. I work for the City of Atlanta and each time there's an office party we order a cake from here. There's no doubt about it, this is one of the best homemade cake places that's reasonably priced here in Atlanta. The smell alone will keep you coming back.
