In response to the review: Vista window film offers a seal failure warranty for a period of sixty months. If you were still inside the warranty period, Vista would have paid for your window replacement up to $500 per window. It clearly states that on the Vista Residential Warranty Form. Was this situation brought to Augusta Sun Control's attention? We have been installing film for over 33 years in the CSRA and rarely do we see seal failure warranties.

We had this business put window film on all our double-pane windows several years ago and it was great --- filtered the sunlight nicely, cut down on our summer cooling bills. Within a couple of years, though, the seals on our double-pane windows started failing and, after replacing four of them at about $150 each, the company that makes the windows told us it was because the window film was concentrating heat on the inside pane and stressing it until the seal failed.

Sure wish we'd been told about this in the beginning! The window film used is called Vista, but it'd probably happen with any of them.
