Very good apps and entrees. Friendly service and reasonable prices. I loved to go here for lunch when I was in the area. The pizza and wings are delish.

Took the kids and wife to the new location. Holy Cow! Night and day from the old place. There must be 70 more seats.

We ordered a Greek Salad, Margarita pizza and finished with some Gelato. Very, very good. Easily one of the best in Atlanta. The salads are always huge and the gelato was a big thumbs up from our daughters. As one poster commented, they don't have a liquor license yet. The girl behind the counter said they'll have it by the end of next month. That didn't seem to affect the crowd. It was full. Lots of children but also a bunch of couples.

Parking could be better. It got pretty crowded in the lot but we parked downstairs and walked up the backside of the building. It was actually more convenient than parking in the front. The neighborhood finally has the place it has waited for.

Stopped by to have dinner with a friend. The pizza came out lighting fast. The restaurant just moved and the new building is larger and more accommodating. They don't have their liquor license yet.

My bride and I recently visited St. Angelo's new location next to Blacksonte's Steakhouse in Smyrna. WOW! They have 10 times the space and a PATIO!!! We ordered a large, a medium and 5 honey bar-b-que wings. Their wings, expecially for a pizza place, are quite good and they are VERY meaty!

Won't subsidize these prices for the toppings I received on delivery; I tried this place for the second time (despite the same experience in September, 2010). Here on 1/1/12, the story was the same: scant toppings for a very pricey

I fell for the Dominos ads and had a coupon. The next day I had to order St. Angelos to get the taste out of my mouth. :-) They have really good pizza and salads (that's all I have tried) and inexpensive lunch specials.

We order from St. Angelo's Pizza, at least once every 2 weeks. The delivery service is great and always on time. The pizza is delish, and we're equally impressed with the salads. Definitely check this place out for delivery service, if they deliver to your area!

To me, this is the best pie in the ATL. The owner is a stand up guy. The black dude with the rasta hat also knows his game. I read a few reviews on here that nitpick about things like unmelted cheese and dry crusts and nonsense... I've never had any of those problems. However, if I did, I'd be a proactive consumer and remedy the situation in the shop, not go home and write a sideways review to make up for my lack of initiative. ;-)

I have to say, after a couple of visits to the new place, I miss the old location. The new one is prettier, larger, cleaner and has dumb ebay movie posters on the wall. I like the hole-in-the-wall feel.

My sister-in-law has been raving about St. Angelo's for months, so last week my husband and I finally caved in and passed over our neighborhood pizza place and went the extra mile to St. Angelo's. We ordered a veggie pizza- and while the ingredients were fresh (well, considering that half of the 'fresh veggies' were straight from a can- green olives, black olives and artichokes- maybe I should rethink that) the dough was incredibly undercooked.

The middle of the pizza was just a doughy mess and the cheese wasn't even melted in places.

The Greek salad was great- but again, I didn't go there for salad.

We won't be returning any time soon. There are just too many other pizza places in Smyrna/Vinings that are at least better than 'average'.

I'm sorry. I wanted to love this place. It is right down the street from me and gets great reviews but everytime I order it's way over priced and I can get better pizza at Papa John's. We had a large pizza and wings delivered. Delivery girl was very sweet but the pizza was soggy, wings were soggy all for $40!! Not worth it..Probably good after a long night of drinking..

A friend recommended St. Angelo's and happen to be in the Vinings area and dropped by for lunch. Picked up a big pizza to take back to the office. It was SO SO SO good. The best pizza I've probably had in Atlanta.
I chose the Barbeque Pizza because I use to love that at California Pizza Kitchen....no comparison. Crust was great and pizza even better overall. TRY IT!!! Real wood burning ovens and the taste of that is beyond heaven.

Bleh pizza, bleh service, and bleh atmosphere. Sauce is too sweet; crust is too dry. Pizza was overcooked, and staff was underwhelming. Definitely not worth a drive, which is what we were foolish enough to do to try it based on the reviews. If your car breaks down in the parking lot and you're hungry, you probably won't be too upset if you ate here.

The food here is excellent!! Definitely NOT "fast food" pizza (a.k.a. Papa-Dominoes-HUT). Too bad I don't live in their delivery area! Every time I am there I can hear the employees having a good time. People who like their jobs make great food, I guess. They need a bigger store with a patio!!

love the food - no feel for apprietating good repeat customers, totally lack friendly feel & customer service.. hours are not reliable, shorted marinara sauce on last order... they could be great if hours were reliable & customer service was better... too bad, not sure if they would have made up for the shorted sauce..... they closed 1/2 earlier than thier stated hours so I never got the chance to see if they would have corrected the shorted sause... i ordered from a more expensive, more reliable pizza place that values good customers & good tippers! Examples of good customer service: New York Pizza Exchange & De Vinci's Pizza have the best customer service!!!

Citysearch has served the Pizza Public well. The reviews and comments on Citysearch have lead me to St Angelo's and Blue Moon Pizza. THESE ARE THE BEST PIZZA JOINTS IN ATL!. If you like thin, crisp crust with a great cheese blend and fresh spicey meats this is the place for you. I first stopped by for a slice and turned around and went back for a "take out pie". I live in Alpharetta but it is worth the 30 mile drive to get the best Pizza and Salads in North Atlanta. This really makes it tough, St Angelos or Blue Moon? I have a tough time deciding so I just go to both as often as possible.

After reading the reviews here and after getting bored with all of the usual pizza places my wife and I go, we decided we should go on a pizza adventure; find a new great pie. So on Friday night we left our downtown condo and headed towards Vinings. The place is located in a small strip mall and was surprisingly smaller than I imagined. When we approached the door, we saw a group of 6-8 guys sitting around a freshly delivered 18 inch hand tossed pie. My wife and I looked at each other and asked the waiter what style that was. It looked amazing. We placed our order at the counter as there is not full table service. I got an order of 5 x-hot wings and we ordered our "test" pizza(the one you order that is basic enough to give you an idea of its quality), NY hand tossed pepperoni and pinapple. We sat down at one of the booths and got comfortable. It was a nice vibe, busy enough, but not crazy. My wings arrived first and very quickly. Delicious. I always order them extra crispy and these were perfect. The X-hot was not crazy hot, but just perfect heat for a pre-pizza app. The pizza followed when I was was on wing 3(i love that I can order 5 since any more would be a waste with a pie coming) and it looked loaded and delicious. The crust was a golden brown unlike any pie crusts I have ever seen. The first bite was great because we both knew it was worth the trip. The toppings, crust, cheese and sauce were all perfectly balenced. Bottom line, it was a great pizza. It was a style all its own and better than what 99% of what other places try to do. NY's will not think it is NY style and I cannot speak of the deep dish. But if you just want a quick delicious meal, this is a great place. We will be back for certain. And we will be bringing others. Right now, this is our #2 pizza place behind Shorty's, though I can see it being tied for #1 because the menu looks like it has some gems to be mined. BTW, our meal cost us $20.20.

St. Angelo's is a super, family-friendly, community-oriented pizza place with fantastic food! They participated in Preschool Adventures this summer and was rated among one of the top locations from the moms and children participating in our program. (Preschool Adventures is a local program that brings moms and their preschool-age children together to interactively explore, tour and visit with the people and places in the community.) St. Angelo's was very willing to take part in Preschool Adventures and opened their doors to our children to come in for a pizza-making demonstration. They even allowed the children to make their own pizzas! They were great and lots of fun with the children. Our visit was simply fantastic and the owners and managers at St. Angelo's are first-rate.

The slice was so hot and delicious I could'nt believe my total was $4.00. I had to get a togo box and I couldn't stop eating it through out the day. I am hooked now that is my permanent lunch spot.

The guy standing behind the counter spoke so softly and completely refused to look up at me. It took me awhile to realize that he was actually speaking to me. I didn't see anyone else at the counter so I figured that he must be talking to me. I just guessed that he asked me what I wanted. I didn't hear what he actually said. I asked for the lemon pepper wings. He said something else and I couldn't hear him so I must have said excuse me I didn't hear you about 3 or 4 times before he with a long drawn out sigh said loud enough for me to hear would you like ranch or blue cheese with that. I asked for ranch and went to sit at one of the tables knowing it would be 10-15 minutes to cook. There was only one person in the restaurant and she was already eating her pizza so I didn't anticipate it would take long to receive the wings. WRONG!!! I sat for 30 minutes in the restaurant until a guy (not the guy who took my order) who was washing up in the back noticied that I had been sitting there for a long time went to stand where my wings had been sitting for awhile and brought them out to me. I thanked him and went out to my car only to discover I had the wrong order. I had hot wings not lemon pepper. I had to go back and wait another 20 minutes to get the right order. I tasted the wings and they were okay. Definitely not worth the hassle it took to get them.

We just moved from Alpharetta into the Smyrna area and got a little spoiled with some of the pizza places up there but most didn't deliver. We did a lot of carry out. Well, we got delivery last night from St. Angelo's after reading an article and it was very impressive. I spoke with the owner (Sean?) for 5 minutes on the phone and he was very nice and funny and told me if I enjoyed the experience as a first timer to write a review on Citysearch. As promised, here is our review:

I wouldn't say it was the best we've had in town but definitely worth a top 5 or 10 in Atlanta.

The 2 pizzas, wings, and greek salad arrived around 7:30 as we were getting excited about the Falcons game. It took about 35 minutes. The pizzas were hot and we tried the straight cheese and the works pizza. Very good. The cheese was great, the crust was above average for delivery in terms of crispness, and the sauce and toppings were commendable. The wings were hot and we enjoyed them thoroughly. The greek salad was very good. The lettuce and toppings were generous and their house dressing is very good. All in all, this was a great experience. We recommend you try them and see.

The sauce was horrible!! tasted like Ragu or something....not nearly enough cheese on there.......the place was a dump, not clean or maintained.........wont see me there again.....!!!

We have actually been going to St. Angelo's for over a year. I bring my two girls and occasionally my wife will accompany us when she's in the mood for pizza night. For the girls, every night is pizza night if they had their choice. We get delivery every once in a while but mainly we will either pick up or dine in.

So, we stopped by last Wednesday night and the counter guy suggested we try the new chicken tenders and the white pizza. Wow! The tenders are unreal. Kelly ordered plain, Maddie ordered the medium and I had the Garlic Parmesan. When I commented on them to the counter guy, he said "Write a review at Citysearch!" so here I am.

The wings are outstanding, the pizza is outstanding. The salads are huge and fresh. We were really proud that our local pizza joint won the Citysearch award last year. Now they have taken it up another notch with these chicken tenders. GREAT JOB ST. ANGELOS!!!!!!

This place is small, but amazing. Their food is incredible. Best pizza in Atlanta without a doubt. Try it out and write a review. Like some other guys said they have a chef in there now and things can only go up from there, hopefully they'll open up some more locations that'd be great

The pizza is fantastic... like another person said they have a chef in the house now, and the food just keeps getting better. It's a terrific atmosphere, and I'll definatly be going back... Best pizza I've had in Atlanta to date!

Cons: limited seating

The food was great before, but I've notice that there's a chef there now, and he really seems to know his stuff... and their Pizza is now INCREDIBLE... I probably eat there almost 3X a week! I've been to Chicago, New York, and Seattle, and have had the best pizza in all three cities, and I'll just say they have some serious competition.

The pizza I got was ok, nothing super special. The girl that helped me was rude, and told her co-worker to take my order so she could go have a cig. Thats great service.

I go past the Atlanta Rd exit (they've really gentrified that area!) on the way home & decided to stop & pickup a pizza to take home - to Douglasville. This was about 5 o'clock, and nobody else was there. It didn't take 10 mins to cook, and it was still warm when I got home. I liked the crust, and the sauce wasn't too sweet. Very good pizza. FYI, it tastes the same as Sammy's Pizza in Douglasville.

Saw the blip in the paper and tried them on a couple of occasions. We actually live in Austell but this will be a trip we'll take every so often. The place is small and busy.

About the food. We did slices and hot wings the first time. They were very good. Second time around we did a pie and half salads. Also very good. I would recommend the house salad and a slice. Service was good. They need more space and after reading the reviews on this site that seems to be a common theme. It reminds me of the time Bellas had the smallish space and then opened the larger space. They'll need to do that eventually. We'll be back again.

This was the first time I ever went to St. Angelo's and I will never go again. I ordered a Chicago style pizza, with mushrooms on half. They gave my pizza away to another customer. I had to sit and wait another 30 min for them to make my pizza. When I got home with it the pizza was covered in BBQ sauce and not what I ordered. I ordered a salad as well. I find it hard to believe that a whole salad feeds 3-4 people. A whole salad at Everybody's Pizza feeds 3-4 people and is cheaper and tastier. I did receive my money back, but I would never go back again. Several other customers were upset as well because their orders were messed up.

After living across the street for over a year, I am finally putting a review on here. Just know the food is great. The place is always busy and it's definitely the best in town. Try the works pizza or the doughboys. You won't regret it. It's small and tough to sit at luch but dinner is usual pretty easy to sit. Most of the hubbub is delivery guys going in and out of the door.

We moved to the Smyrna area from Roswell and looked online for restos and found the #1 rating on Citysearch. Checked it out and what a great call and well-deserved recognition for Best Pizza. I've had better up North but this is the best place I've found here. We've been there a couple of times now. The pizza and wings are excellent. My wife loves the greek salad with their house dressing. Admittedly, service was a tad on the slow side but friendly. There was a line out the door which was a pretty good sign that this place can make pizza. Waves of folks kept coming and going with carryout. The place is small because it seems to be more designed for delivery/takeout. There are ooths which my wife and I just enjoyed sitting and people watching. Didn't meet the owner but maybe next time. Have fun.
