Gato Bizco is very small; when you're here you get VIP service. Biscuits here are better than that place across the street. The Senor Sparky, a spicy egg dish is enough to feed a crowd, but they'll make a half order if you ask. Pancakes are also good here.

A small quant location that provides consistently good service and food, Gato Bizco stands out among strong brunch competition in Atlanta. Located across the street from the over crowded Flying Biscuit, Gato Bizco wins in food quality, price, and timeliness hands down in comparison to its near neighbor. It likely pulls ahead as one of my favorite spots to brunch in Atlanta. Note: They do not serve alcohol so be prepared to skip to mimosas or bloody marys, but I have witnessed them bring out the chocolate syrup is you order chocolate milk.

I feel like if you wait for over an hour to eat at a restaurant at the very least your server could smile at you and pretend to be nice. In some ways serving is like acting. If you're in a bad mood or having a bad day you can not let it show at your table. It is your job to ensure the customers who PAY YOUR SALARY a pleasant experience. Maybe some people like servers who are snobby and think they are "all that" just because they work at a funky little cafe, but not I. With that being said I will not be going back to Gato Bizco and I would suggest to the servers there that maybe they should consider other professions that don't require interacting with people.

A nice surprise! Had heard about Gato Bizco over the years but never managed to wake up in time to beat the crowds. Located directly across the street from the Flying Biscuit, Gato Bizco is small, 4 booths and 7 stools. "Cross-eyed cat" in Spanish, this gem has been open for 8 years. Named appropriately since everyone that's ever worked there has an affinity for felines. The menu includes breakfast dishes, lunch & entrees with a southwestern twist served all day which means from 9 AM - 2:30 PM. The food is good and prices so affordable. The place is a bit run down and grungy. The customers are diverse. The staff is eclectic and amiable. I only wish the tattooed lady chefs who cook in view of patrons were more jovial. They almost appeared bored or unhappy to be there. Despite that the food is tasty and portions are just right. Omelettes have great flavor as did the biscuits and sausage. Orange juice was fresh, don't order a large unless you are going to share. Definitely a great bet if you're in the neighborhood. A must try.

Pros: breakfast, unique vibe, value

Cons: small & no alcohol

Editorial from

Candler Park?s other breakfast joint located across the street from the ever-popular Flying Biscuit, Gato Bizco outshines the competition with soulful renditions of diner favorite. Omelets are stuffed with good, hippy accoutrement…
