This library is good about having lots of things going on. On any given day, you can find a lunchtime lecture, a children's activity or a book discussion group. We have also borrowed DVD's and videos for free. They are older movies, but cheaper than a video store.

PROS: childrens section, activities
CONS: long wait for new releases.

This library may not have the widest selection (Especially non fiction) but there are other acedmic libraries in the town that may make up for it. On a positive side, ACCL has a decent slection of vidoes and books on tape. My favorite is the comfy reading area and the programs they have.
ACC library always has something going on. Throughout teh year, there are movies, lectures and even puppet shows. During the summer, they have reading clubs and kids programs that are really great. For instance - this year they are doing a huge party for all the kids that read 100 books and in the past they have done a mystery book club/program for adults with fun prizes like A gift certificate for free pizza!

This is the Athen's area library and its really pretty nice. The building is nice inside and seems to be always be pretty tidy. The checkout and information desk is located directly after entering (and the info desk is where you sign up for your card). Just to the right of the entrance are several bookshelves where they place all the new fiction and non-fiction books and also the magazines. There's 2 full stories of books and reference materials. Computers and Internet Access are located upstairs (as is another information desk).

After check out books can be renewed online at the web site and you can also reserve books online, as well. Be aware - late materials do result in monetary fees so make sure you return or renew.
