Having had multiple cats, we have been to AECNF more times than most. One is a donor cat for our kidney transplant cat. He had emergency surgery for swallowing a construction staple. The staff was excellent in all aspects. BooBoo did

I took my cat Penelope in thinking it was her time, and yes she had to stay the weekend but come Monday Morning she was greeting me when I picked her up. I'm amazed that the staff that works here is as calm and as caring as they are, it was a madhouse of people and pets all wanting the same amount of attention and wanting it right now! From the Receptionist, to the Nurses and the Doctors, all had it under control and never lost their cool!!!

Wow, I had a nightmare experience at this place. The very first person to greet me was this RUDE woman who yelled at me AND the receptionist and made me fill out forms that were unneccessary ( all the needed info had been given to them over the phone before I arrived). So, needless to say, I was already aggravated. Then, she snatched my kitten from me, and stormed off to the back. I asked if I could go back with the kitten, and was told "No". Then, a couple in the waiting room had made the hard decision to euthanize their dog, and the freakin VET came out from the back room and walked out to the parking lot and euthanized their dog RIGHT THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT!!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. Next, the "doctor" (who looked more like a tech) came out and supposedly "diagnosed" my cat, which I later found out was an innacurate diagnosis. After spending 5 minutes with me, the "doctor" left, and I asked the receptionist if it would be possible for me to see him again because I had more questions, and she said "No". WHAT!?!?! ... I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So THEN, (the list goes on and on) I told the receptionist I would just ask her my questions. I began asking her about different medicines I am familiar with that may help my cat's worms. "Nothing will work but this one" she says, very snippy. "Well what about (insert medicine name here)?" I say. "I JUST SAID NO." she says. My eyes bug outta my head. I'm about to reach across the desk and strangle her. But I resist. Going to jail doesn't sound like fun today. But really, this place is the most vile, disgusting, unprofessional thing in the world. The customer service is crap, and I'm pretty sure there are laws against euthanizing a dog in the parking lot. Geez. Do yourself and your fur kids a favor: Walk - NO RUN!!!!! TO A DIFFERENT ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! I never want my precious babies lives in hands like these EVER, EVER AGAIN.

Excellent experience! Caring staff, Dr. Roberts is superior, kind, and sensitive. Expensive, but worth it. Clean room, facility, and did not smell at all. Completely recommend for emergency care and I have been to others and there is no comparison!

The staff is very patient and understanding, the vet gave me a chance to make choices about my kitty (he had a urinary tract infection and could not urinate). My kitty was taken care of very well and they communicated with my vet so that my usual vet knew what had happened. I would use this emergency center again. They are open weeknights, weekends and on holidays.

I phoned this emergency clinic upon a strong recommendation from a friend well-connected in Atlanta veterinary medicine circles. Like almost all emergency vets, this clinic's website states that they provide consultation over the phone to determine whether an ill or injured pet needs to be seen. However, after posing my question about my sick pet, I was told that no information could be given over the phone because I might misunderstand it or have missed something. My only option was to bring my pet in--an impossibility because my pet was staying at another clinic (a non-emergency clinic) overnight and could not be picked up until morning. I was condescended to at every second of the call, with liberal doses of words like "iota" and a snotty tone. This clinic's actual vet services may be top-notch, but if you can't get past the self-aggrandizing receptionist, you may never know (and it may be too late for your pet).
