Impulse Salon

I just saw Ashley at Impulse recently and was very impressed! I am European and have been searching for an edgy, modern stylist for almost 12 years. I have been in the Atlanta area for a little over 3 years now and haven't found anyone outstanding... Until coming to Impulse. The staff was friendly and the service was outstanding! Ashley gave me an excellent cut and color service! Highly recommended!

When I moved to Atlanta, I dreaded finding a new stylist. Everyone I worked with was going to salons inside 285 and I just didn't want to go there. Then I found Lauren. This is the best cut and color I have had...ever. She rocks!

Staci is the sweetest cutiest little thing. She colored and cut my hair and i've never felt like more of a princess. I love my new due and it was just in my price range. GREAT SERVICE! GREAT SALON!

I used to go to Staci at a salon in Buckhead, but she recently moved to Impulse in East Cobb. The Haircuts and Colors have always been wonderful with Staci, now, its even better. The Buckhead place was a start-up, very unorganized and inefficient. It wasn't her fault, but there seemed to always be a problem. Now, at Impulse, things are perfect. Fast service- everything aways works, and it's a MUCH MORE cute salon. I always have fun during the hour or 2 I spend with her. Go see her, you won't regret it!

I was refered to Zahra by a friend. I went expecting a good cut and highlight for my daughter's wedding. I not only got a great cut and highlight which I was expecting, but the experience from the time I arrived till the time I left was warm and inviting. I felt like I was with family and someone who cared about the way I looked and overall helth of my hair. I got so many compliments at the wedding.

I recently moved from texas and was so nervous about finding a stylist. I am extrememly picky! From the minute I walked into impulse i was at ease. LEAH was amazing for both cut and color and highlights. It has been 3 weeks now and both still look amazing.....Leah made for one less thing that I have to worry about in the relocation....and the to me is priceless!!!! I would recommend LEAH to everyone. I feel like I should post a pic to show everyone how amazing my hair looks!

My stylist Lauren just moved to Impulse Salon and she is awesome! My color is always fab and totally natural. She has a real eye for finding the perfect color. She is an amazing sylist. I am so confident with her that I can sit in the chair and tell her to do whatever she thinks looks best, and it always looks amazing AND she's got all these great product secrets like Kerastase's nectar thermique. OMG, what did I do w/out this stuff?! If you're looking for your new stylist, check Lauren out, she's the REAL DEAL! You will not be disappointed~

My stylist Lauren just moved over to Impulse Salon and I would never want to go to anyone else! She consistently has given me the best haircuts I've ever had! She really listens to what I want and always delivers. I'm very particular about my color and need it to look natural because of my profession and she does a great job giving me exactly what I want. It seems like she really loves her new salon and I know she will thrive there.

I just found this incredible salon tucked away on Village Pkwy off Johnson Ferry. Lauren was my sylist and she was excellent. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and listening skills were evident. I do not think I have ever been more comfortable with a stylist. My hair cut is perfect and I can't say enough about the color. Lauren chose highlights and lowlights and my hair has never looked better. I am so thrilled and wanted to pass this along to everyone.

I've seen Lindsay for a while, and have yet to be disappointed! It's hard to find a stylist that listens to what you want and works to get it right! She listens and works with my hair to get it exactly right as I have "difficult hair!"

I had my 1st appiontment with Lindsay this past weekend and was thoroughly impressed. I have been living in Atlanta for 4 years now and JUST found this place I liked! The front office staff was quick and attentive and offered me a drink or a snack. Once I met with Linsday we sat down and she listened to what I had to say about my hair and then gave me her professional perspective on what her thoughts were. I really appreciated her listening to me and also giving me her 2 sense. She showed me around the salon. I got my hair washed and HEAD MASSAGED then she gave me a great cut, showed me techniques on how to actually make my hair look like she did it and used great products! I will definitely go back for that kind of service and expertise AGAIN!

I have been going to this salon for over 3 years. I absolutely love the salon because they are always extremely professional and I always feel like I'm their most important client. I also think of their product Kerestase like I do a food group. My hair has never been healthier.

Ashley is my stylist and she is very talented w/ color. If anyone out there feels the need for some blonde or maybe some peppered in low lights, she's awesome!!

She's also very personable and fun to talk to.

I have been getting my hair done at Impulse for about 9 years and discovered Caroline about 2 yearsago. She gives a fabulous haircut and has also done a great job with my color. I recently changed from very blonde to a darker brown and Caroline spent alot of time making sure I got what I wanted. She also has done straightening for my college age daughter as well as color and cut. My daughter won't go to anyone else!

I have been a client at Impulse Salon for 7 years. Through the years I've used more than one stylist and they all have done a great job on my hair. I must admit Leach and Erin are my favorites. Without fail, they focus on me and what I want and need during my appointments. They are ALWAYS current on styles, new cutting techniques, coloring and products. Each and every time I leave the salon I feel great. Until Impulse I never understood what it meant to measure a good haircut by how it looks between cuts. I recommend them to all of my friends. Great job!

After 10 years of cutting my own hair I finally gave up this past week and decided to let someone else have the burden. I was so nervous about selecting a place and a stylist since it had been so long and I am new to the Atlanta area. I also wanted an updated look and not some old lady style. Thanks to the wonderful reviews on City Search I chose Impulse and made an appointment with Caroline this past weekend. The wait time was great. Caroline listened to what I wanted and took her time perfecting my look, but it didn't seem like it took forever. In the end I truly have the perfect cut. It was just what i was looking for and she styled it amazing that day. The good news is, a few days later without all the fancy styling, it still looks great with almost no effort. That is especially important to me as a working mother with no time for styling. Everyone was wonderful and put me at ease, even the woman who shampooed my hair. And despite having saved money on this sort of thing this past decade, i will definitely be splurging at Impulse with Caroline in the future. Well worth the expense.

Recently, I brought my sister to Impulse to get her hair done as a surprise gift. Her hair was very gray. Erin was our stylist, and she did an amazing job of picking a color and matching my sister's skin tone. My sister looked 10 years younger. Thank you Erin for turning my surprise gift into something really special.

She got done quickly and we had the best conversation. The salon's over all vibe was great, and yes I would recommend Impuls eto everyone and especially Leah for the best color and cut I have evr received!

I recently saw Joi at impulse and her attitude and of the other girls was unacceptable. I dont know how they have been in business this long they are the rude, stuck up and she didnt even do great hair . i would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

I changed salons about a year ago and started using Zahra @ Impulse. She is absolutely the best. She colors, highlights and cuts my hair in less than 2 hours which is 2 hours less than any other salon. Her personality is infecftious and I truly enjoy coming to the Salon. I have had more comments on my color and cut since Zahra started doing my color and cut. The Salon is so professional but yet not stand-offish at all. Everyone is so friendly. I wouldn't trade Zahra and her assistant Sarah for anyone. They are the best!

After receiving a not so good cut at another salon, Impulse Salon and Caroline came highly recommended. I went this past Saturday and came out feeling like a whole new person. My cut was corrected and my ongoing color issues were discussed. I feel like I have discovered one of Marietta's best kept secrets!! I went ahead and booked my next color appointment right then.
Great atomsphere and I intend to discuss the products when I return. Also, the salon is a good distance from my home but I feel the trip is well worth it for the satisfaction I got.

I heard about the salon through two friends of mine who see Shawn, after she cut my daughters hair I had to make an appointment for myself and I'm so happy I did. She gave me exactly what I needed and I've made my next color appointment with her and can't wait!

I am so excited. I went to Impulse to try someone new. My appointment was set up with Caroline. I was extremely nervous and I told her that as soon as I met her. Caroline immediately put me at ease. She listened to me rant and rave about nerves, my hair, and what the girl I used to see did. She listened and made great suggestions about what to do and I LOVE MY HAIR. I dont know what kind of magic dust was sprinkled over my head but my hair has never looked so good. I made a color appointment and I am returning next week. Loved the experience and the service.

So I have been going to the same h airdresser for years and she retired. I was soooo nervous bc I am so picky about my hair. I was recommended to Leah @ Impulse and I thought I would give her a shot. I AM SO GLAD I DID! She made me feel comfortable and did an amazing job! Leah at Impulse is the best for color ever! She did exactly what I wanted and I would definitely go back to her.
The overall experience at Impulse was so comforting and vibrant. Everyone was so sweet. Anyone in need of hair care go to Leah or try the salon its beautiful!

I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone! Everything was amazing including service, personalities and the atmosphere. The only downfall to my experience was my stylist Neely She was great but at times I felt like she was rushed and could have been more thorough. Other than that I will be returning to Impulse with a different stylist to experience the unique atmosphere and service that was provided to me.

Impulse is a busy place with many friendly faces, during my visit i was greeted by a host of wonderful stylest's with many unique talents. i was treated special by all of the employees and recieved without a doubt the best haircut of my life, i recomend this salon to anyone looking for quality cuts with well trained professionals. the atmosphere engulfs you right when you walk in the door with a clean neat lobby and a cheerful hello from whoever may be working at the time. Impulse hair salon rocks my socks and you must be foolish to go anywhere else for any of your hair needs.

I would like to comment on the rude opinion of allstar44 about Impulse salon and her comments about one of the best hairstylists in town, Lindsey. I'm sure most people know to consider the source with allstar44. She probably was always 44th in everything she's ever done. Impulse has a number of talented hairstylists and I don't recall a single time I was there, in the past 8 years, that the salon was DIRTY. As said by the previous comments, allstar doesn't know what she's talking about.

I came on here to write an amazing review for my girls at impulse and when I saw the comment below I was shocked!!!!The below comment is the most untrue statement ever. I have been going to Impulse for 9 years and have never come across a salon like it. I have seen multiple stylists there and every single time I have been more than happy. Hairstylists are not magicians, they can only work with what you have. I want to defend my girls and I DO TELL EVERYONE about Impulse and how amazing it is!!!!!! I just recently heard about Impulse Salon through one of my friends and have now been there for color and cut twice. I saw Shawn and was highly impressed. I have had a few bad hair experiences else where and was a little reluctant at first, but when I saw the finished product I actually got emotional, it's so beautiful. I absolutely love it. We all deserve to treat ourselves! So I decided to go see Ashley at Impulse. I was referred by a friend who also sees Ashley. I could not be more thrilled with the entire experience! I got a one of a kind cut and color that is just what I needed! Ashley is a very original, free spirit who customized my look in an artistic way!

Impulse is very upscale, fabulous, stylish salon that I highly recommend. I have been coming to see Joi for years and I absolutely love her! She always knows what is in style and what looks great for me! I love coming to the salon because I truly feel at home. dirty salon. awful front desk. i went to see lindsey for color and cut. the blonde came out way too ashy and not uniform, and the cut was not what i had asked for. even worse is that i waited 20 min past my appt. time until someone bothered to let me know she was running behind. the shampoo bowls were dirty, and the place looked like it's falling apart. i now have to grow my hair back out before i can get it restyled!!! i will never go back or ever recommend anyone to this salon.

Brandye did such a great job on my cut and color. I have curly hair so going to the salon has always been a nightmare, but I am always optimistic that I will find a great stylist and FINALLY here she is. The cut makes my curly hair curlier and when I straighten it, it is fabulous and funky. The color is to die for and the prices here are very reasonable. I LOVE YOU BRANDYE!

Zahra at Impulse Salon is wonderful!! She's the best stylist/colorist in Atlanta. My hair always looks and feels so silky and soft after she cuts and colors it. Her assistant Sarah is also great!

I recently came in to see Ashley for a cut and color. My hair has NEVER looked better! She is absolute Gem in this salon! I have since referred all my friends and family! I love my experiences at Impulse. You get the best shampoos and the best cut/colors. I use to run a salon and am very picky about where I get my hair done. I have been going to Lindsey for my cut and colors for the past year now and it is honestly the best cut and color I have ever had. She makes the color look seamless and she can get the best natural blondes I have ever seen. Getting a good natural blonde that does not break your hair is normally pretty difficult in most salons. But Lindsey is awesome at color. Even if you want something a tad funkier she can do that as well. Her cuts are amazing as well. When she cuts you do not see any disconnects or harsh lines. I am raving about Lindsey b/c she is the only person who has cut or colored my hair there but all the ladies seem very nice and welcoming. You feel like you belong there from the moment you walk in. This salon is also great for male hair cuts, my boyfriend goes every three weeks! The prices are great and the location is awesome. I would recommend this salon to anyone and I have!!

Zahra is the best colorist in Atlanta, and she also carries the Keratase product line to make your hair healthy and shiny. Zahra truly knows clients (we are known as friends) and can get you that look that you have always wanted. You will feel 10 years younger and have the bounce back in your step. I have going to Caroline Merrill for over 3 years and I am never disappointed with my haircut. In fact last summer I ventured into a new cut and had someone else do it on a whim. Wrong move on my part. Went back to Caroline and she perfected the cut and then helped me learn how to style it correctly. Since moving to Atlanta area in 2003; and trying different stylists, Caroline has been the only one I would ever trust to cut my hair.

The salon is in a convenient location and parking is free.

I have been to Dawn for over 10 years and she is the best there is! Nealie and Dawn have cut my kids' hair and done a great job (the kids are both teens). Leta is also great. In fact, you can't really go wrong with any of the stylists. They are all pros and do a great job. Impulse is the best salon I've been to and that includes good ones in the Atlanta area and in the Chicago area.

I was truly amazed at my results and the way she gives you beautiful hair! I love the Kerastase Product Line. I have had rave reviews from all my girlfriends, who are now going to Zahra and buying Kerastase. If you truly want healthy hair, you have got to go to this wonderful stylist. She will rock your world! This salon is the place you want to be for hair care services and products.

I love Impulse Salon and I LOVE Dawn! And if you can't see her, there are several other wonderful stylists in the salon -- Neely is one too! Dawn cut 4" off my hair at my request and it looks incredible. No fear of going to short hair here -- she did an amazing job. And then I also needed a few hilights but really wanted them to blend and she mixed conservative color that looks great! Also, the best part is that you can see Laura for facials and waxes in the SAME building! Skin Care by Gabriella shares space with the Salon and it is SO nice. Laura is very sensitive and knowledgeable about skin care and awesome on the eyebrows! I have seen Dawn for YEARS and been to Impulse dozens of times. The staff is always down to earth and very helpful. A+

I have only been to Impulse Salon twice and the results are absolutely amazing. An acquaintance recommended I see Zahra after seeing how damaged my hair was. My hair is thin, naturally curly and very frizzy. Years of drying and flat ironing had totally fried my hair. Zahra helped my hair so much just on my first visit - she cut, colored and highlighted my hair and recommended Kerastase products which are fabulous. On my second visit she applied Keratin Complex Hair Therapy to straighten my hair. It is the best thing I have ever seen. My hair is so soft and manageable. It takes me about ten minutes to dry and no flat ironing is required. I am 42 years old and I have never been this happy with my hair. There are no words to express how awesome Zahra and this product are. Zahra is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and everyone at the salon is very friendly and makes you feel so comfortable in their salon. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone.

In regards to the Keratin Complex Hair Therapy - anyone considering it - I say go for it. I have done the Japanese straightening and there is no comparison. My hair looks healthy and is soft. People would be amazed to see what a difference this product has made on my hair that was so damaged.

Zahra is the best color specialist at Impulse. Her cuts are always great!! If you go, you have to ask for her. You will not go to anyone else, because she makes you feel truly spoiled!! She takes the time to truly get you the best results. She also has the best keratase products to make your hair rich, conditioned and shiny! I love cutting edge color, and Lindsey's color design can not be beat. She listens to my needs and has great suggestions and new ideas each time I come in. I've been going to her for a little over 2 years, and I will trust no one else with my color. The cut she gives me is also amazing. I am not very good at styling my own hair, and she has me on minimal products with maximum results! The other stylists there are excellent, too. I have have shampoo/blow outs with Brandye and Zahara also, and have loved the result! Thanks Impulse!

This is not your average hair salon-funky, exciting, and eclectic group of professionals who truly love where they work-and it shows with every head of hair that walks out. Excellent prices, fantastic haircut, wonderful vibe, I have found my Utopia! Erin's passion for hair really shows.
