Old South is a Smyrna classic. People have coming here for years to eat their delicious barbecue , Brunswick stew , and more ! You can dine in or get it to go. They also can help you feed a large group.

This small, family-owned barbeque restaurant offers a big eating adventure. Everything here is delicious. The decor is basically nonexistant (the building used to be a home,) but you'll be too busy enjoying the food to care.
PROS: great food, good value for the price
CONS: small, limited seating

You simply must try the brunserwick stew. It's funny how the older I get, the more I need to eat bread with it. Not for the lighthearted bbq eater. It is serious about warming your internal organs. GREAT STUFF! Every time I go home to Atlanta, I bring a gallon back to Houston.
