I am a former student of Tender Care Training School of Augusta, the best move I ever made. Upon graduation, I have worked for Caring Hands United-Augusta. Ogeechee Behavior Health. Did some private duties work, which open employment opportunities with University Hospice-Columbia Rd, Augusta. Tender Care Training School and their staff, are just SUPER! Ms. Harris you are a blessing to many students to start a great career in the Healthcare, in a short and affordable way. Ms. Hicks-my teacher, knows her stuff and is just a Angel to me. Now, I am the owner of my own medical clothing (mobile) business, and giving back to my school. By offering the student a opportunity to purchase their uniforms at a affordable way. Thanks Tender Care Training School, love you guys.

ok, first I do agree, for the price that they are charging the place shouldn't have to be uncomfortable for 4 hours, it just feels damp and nasty. The teacher that taught the PT takes his job a little to serious!! But it sounds good to get your certificate in like 4 months but in reality, employers wouldn't even buy that it was possible to earn a certificate in 4 months in Pharmacy!?? No. But some do get lucky but there is a lot of studying you have to do even once you leave

I was a past student of Tender Care, and I quite upset at the comment about " Sunday Revival" graduation . I enjoyed my graduation and found it to be inspirational. So much so that I plan to attend more of their graduations. Perhaps if a little word of God was put into programs like this then maybe more people would be more successful in reaching their goal. Keep up the good work Tender Care, and Thank you for keeping the Sunday Revival in your graduation.

Reviews are good, but everyone always have different experiences. I had a wonderful experience while becoming a certified phlebotomist. The staff had an open door policy and they really prepared me for my state board exam. I applied for a few jobs and I went on a few interviews, and I finally got a job at a local hospital. This is a field that you may have to travel away to be successful. I actually traveled to Atlanta, GA to do my clinical, and met a lot of great people. Also someone mention that it was like a Sunday revival. I can say I enjoyed our graduation a lot. We even had a 4 year old that did a selection and rocked the house. His name is Lil J.D. Ms. Harris is very thankful for what she has established and does not intentionally try to offend anyone, it??s just her personality, and she??s sweet as can be. I thank them, because I can not provide for my family. With the way the economy is, its hard trying to find a job especially in Augusta, GA. So you can??t blame the school, that something you have to take up with your local and state government.

As a current student of Tender Care Training Center I would have to say I would recommend this school to anyone. For one the faculty is very professional and ready to help you when in need. The difference between them and most schools there is someone with in the school who is willing with open arms to help you when YOU want or need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was recommended by a friend who has completed the phlebotomy class and has recently began her new job in a local hospital after completing clinic internship at Eisenhower Army Medical Center !!!!!!!!! We are both pleased with the faculty and I??m looking forward to completing my Couse and maybe taking the Pharmacy Tech program.

Do not waste your money here. This place is a joke. My wife took the Phlebotomy course and graduated in April. No one from her graduating class is yet to work in the field. The graduation was more of Sunday Revival than a ceremony recognizing the student's achievements- oh, they did serve cupcakes and punch. Its been three months and no one has recieved their graduation certificates. Then the state certification is not even accepted at one of Augusta's largest hospitals, issued out of the state of Maryland. The hands on to perform the "sticks" were pretend sticks. All together including tuition, lab coats, pins, candles for the graduation and other misc items, we shelled out almost $1000 with zero ROI. If I had the money & resources to hire an attorney I would in a minute. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Find someplace else and do your homework. According to my research, their NPA (National Phlebotomist Association) certification is not recognized by the State of Georgia. The State of Georgia recognizes only those of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologists, National Healthcare Association, and the National Center for Competency Testing.

I love my time there at tender care.I learned alot from them, even though the classrooms was small but the education that I recieve was A-1.the teachers was very professional and they prepare me for the real world of nursing.it has been almost a year since I got my certification and I am doing fine with my job in home health care and i loving it.the staff there at Tender Care really work with you to get certify. you must show up to prepare for your certification. It is a great school even though the classrooms were small but the training wasn't expensive either compared to the many other school in the area.

I wouldn't recommend this school 2 anyone in the CSRA. I have had several bad experiences & have met other students w/ similar bad experiences. I was interested in taking a class but I actually entered into a nightmare. The secretary who works the front desk does not have any secretary skills at all. No one returns your calls, even after several messages were left. The school is a rundown building, not to mention the roaches that climb out of the holes in the wall. They are tight on school supplies! We couldn't even use the proper equipment to practice our sticks. We had to pretend we were actually using them. You get to do 3 sticks in class. That's it. Not much hands on experience? If you like things to be clean then you will die when you actually look at the floors/ carpet. Looks like they haven't cleaned in years. They probably don't know what a mop or a vacuum is. Communication doesn't exist w/ the school. If you want to find out anything you have to make a drive to the school. It??s an very unorganized school? can't find this paper work.
You will eventually dump more $ into the school. The cost of your scrubs, & a lap coat that you will need to purchase but will not need while completing your clinicals. Trying to find out your clinicals is another joke too. Even the cost of your own graduation pin & the candles you will need to light at graduation. Oh yeah the class is also responsible to make the class graduation program. I guess the less they have to cover/ do/or put out the better for them. If that doesn't say something I don't know what else does. When calling to speak to the school (the director) gave me her personal #'s & said to call her since the secretary couldn??t answer questions. To me that is not professional. Since students can't get answers by calling the school you now want me to call you at home instead of telling your front desk person how to perform her job the right way. I will never attend another class here.

I don't know if the school is great or not but when i called to inquire about the cna course the lady had no enthusiasm whatsoever!!! The answers she gave me was short and dry. She didn't go into detail at all.

Have no idea how good they are. Very poorly run. When registering, the registrar was less than enthusiastic and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Showed up for the class, ready to pay. They screwed up and overbooked the class. They decided to start with those that paid ahead. No communication was sent out to anyone ahead of time and they dismissed half the people that showed up. Was not appreciated after driving 30 minutes and having my heart set and schedule planned for being in this class. Will start looking elsewhere.

I took the CNA class and Phlebotomy class concurrently. The CNA class was excellent, I have a bad right hip due to a childhood accident and they worked around it with me so that I could go through with the class. I learned more information and more quickly in the CNA class than I ever have in grade school. The CNA class on a scale from 1-10 is definitely a 10 at tendercare. The teachers and administrator care very much about their students and it shows.

The classes they offer in phlebotomy, which is the one I took are very get-to-the-point. Which is what I loved about it, the instructor I had told me everything I needed to know about phlebotomy and it never felt like she was wasting my time. The class rooms are small and could use better air conditioning, but overall I ended up loving my classmates and my teacher.

Tender Care Training School offers courses for Phlebotomy and Certified Nursing Assistants. The classes are small allowing better interaction among the students and with the instructor. Instructors work hard with their students to teach them the various skills needed for the healthcare environment. They offer flexible schedules with morning, afternoon and weekend classes.
